Very happy with his legal representation with Chris as I was facing three dui charges, which we won. Ended up pleading to reckless on one, carless on another and third dui was overtrurned by Appellate court after being granted Certification. Chris is a fantastic lawyer and very easy to talk to. He spends the time to go through your case in great detail but also is able to explain the legal aspects in a way that a non-lawyer can understand. I needed someone to help me in the case that I could not get my deposit returned from a landlord whom I did not trust. I shopped around for a lawyer in Essex County. Typically, shopping for a lawyer meant me leaving a message to be contacted back from a lawyer.

But when I first called Chris Benevento, I talked with him directly. On that first call, he was already doing the work of looking up legal info that helped my case. He was eager to jump right in. I hired him shortly after. His availability and his work ethic stayed just as earnest after I hired him.

From the beginning of our client/lawyer relationship, he offered his availability to me: I could call, text or go to his offices to talk about my concerns, just as I would a friend. I didn’t need to set up an appointment to chat. When I called/texted, he promptly responded with a thorough answer.

I don't usually write reviews but made an exception because I was blown away by my experience with Chris. I won't go into detail regarding my case, but it was up to 10 appearances. In two different municipalities. Chris always kept me in the loop, and was extremely professional and knowledgeable in all aspects involved with my case. I had contacted the Benevento Law Firm when I was trying to get my security deposit back from my previous landlord and I couldn't be happier with my decision!

I set up an appointment with Chris Benevento to talk about my situation later the same week. When I went in, he and his partner sat down with me and thoroughly explained all of my options and gave me their honest opinion on what they thought was the best course of action for me. Since the law on security deposits is very clear, and my previous landlord was undeniably in violation of it, Chris offered to call him right then and there to mediate the return of my deposit free of charge.

He was successful in doing so and drafted up a quick legal document stating that once I received my money back that this issue would be considered resolved and no further legal action would be taken. I returned to the office to read and sign the papers, he mailed them out to my landlord's address for me, and the landlord then mailed my deposit check to his office.

All of this out of the goodness of his heart, didn't charge me a cent! With all of the money hungry lawyers out there in the world, it's nice to know that Chris Benevento and his Law Firm care more about the greater good and establishing a real connection with people who need their help. We were able to avoid court this time around, but if I ever need legal help in the future, I know I have a friendly, down-to-earth professional to go to.

I was very happy with Chris at Benevento Law Firm. I retained him to help my daughter and me with a situation related to multiple traffic tickets. I reached out to him on Facebook after someone had recommended him, and he responded promptly and quickly set up a time for my daughter and me to meet with him at his office. Once we started working together, he kept me posted with any updates to our situation and was very responsive to any inquiries I had along the way. When it was time to appear in court, he was able to get our violations reduced from 9 to 2 points which was a huge relief, to say the least.
