Costello's Ace Hardware of Caldwell

I am constantly at the Ace Store in Caldwell, and always find the staff to be courteous and helpful no matter how small or large a project I'm working on. I believe a lot of the credit can be given to the manager Greg, whom seems to have endless energy in his quest to keep seasonal displays moving, the store cleaned, and well stocked. There have been a few occasions where Greg has even offered the availabilty to order, and deliver, specialty items that may not be in his store at the moment but available upon request. I was just finishing working on another home project, when I thought of all the help the staff and especially Greg have offered me over the years, that I had to stop and make sure everyone knew what a pleasure it is to have this store and people like Greg only a few blocks a way from my next project. Thank you Greg and all at Ace Hardware for the many projects you've helped me finish and Happy Holidays.

My favorite hardware store! Convenient and always well stocked with a greatly helpful staff. Have purchased light bulbs, screws, fertilizer, paint, tools, and so many other things from here. Staff is always helpful and friendly! Keep up the good work!

I went to the Ace Hardware store in Caldwell NJ earlier today to buy a mop..James ( one of the managers) was so nice and professional...I had spoke to him on the phone prior to going there and told him the same mop that was $16.99 there was on sale at Target for $10.49 ...he told me to come in and ask for him...he matched the price...in my book that's great customer service..the store is always clean and the people that work there are always very helpful...

I love this place.i always go in for one thing an come out with ten things they carry so many things they never disappoint me.

Great hardware store, They have a really well stocked and large variety of fasteners of all different kinds It is my go-to place when I'm trying to match a screw or even woodruff key and people always ask you if you need help it's a nice experience

Save yourselves and go to Home Depot.

Covid positive but feeling fine I opted for online ordering and curbside pickup to get my errands done but keep everyone safe. But even before I could get there, two items listed "in stock" were canceled from my order. Despite this, I went to collect the remaining three.

I sensed something amiss when I couldn’t find any designated curbside pickup spots.

Upon parking, I followed my order confirmation instructions and called the store. To my astonishment, they said they didn't offer curbside service and insisted I come inside to cancel the order. I explained my situation and was told again I had to come in so I drove off. Two weeks on, I'm still contesting the card charges.

Still in need of those items I placed an online order with Home Depot later that day, saving $24 on my entire order for the same items as Ace and enjoying a hassle-free collection at their well-signposted, illuminated curbside pickup area.

A very disappointing and frankly concerning experience with Ace was made up for by the Home Depot.

Absolutely awful, someone is at the paint section but nobody is at the cash register. People are just in the back it’s not like they have no staff. Waste of time just go to Home Depot
