Angus Burgers & Shakes

The burgers are definitely worth it. The meat was well seasoned and cooked perfect. If you’re not from this part of the country, know that the first Thursday of the month at 5:30 they test the tornado sirens like you hear in the movies . Nobody tells you that -‘it just happens and you’re sitting there trying to figure out what epic doomsday event is starting.

Had the jalapeño popper burger and was amazing not to spicy but was great and the fries were great! Their beef is also raised locally in Holdrege NE!

Seating area could use a few sound deadening panels....just sayin.

What a great place! I don't think I'll drive through the area ever again, but if I do, I'd love to come back. The burgers were awesome, and they have gluten free buns as well. And it's not just any gluten free bun - those are actually tasty! It's a very cool place overall, cannot recommend enough.

We are staying nearby and this place is phenomenal! One of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. The service was fantastic! 10/10 the shake looked amazing we will be back before we leave!

Don’t know what those bad reviews were saying unless they just were there on a bad day or something. We decided to take the chance and so worth it. We got our order to go. We didn’t even need to ask for sauces. As you can see in the picture, they took care of us! Burgers were cooked to perfection. Frys were amazing, ranch, ketchup, bbq sauce, all delicious. We each got a cookies and cream shake and soooo good and creamy! Simply put, we got no complaints.

I don’t live in Kearney, but almost every time that I drive through Kearney I stop here to eat. Angus is one of the best burger places in all of Nebraska and I’m honestly still hurt about the one in Omaha closing. Thank goodness the Kearney location is still alive and doing well, because there are very few places that when you read the menu everything sounds good and you have a hard time picking what you want like angus does. My favorite burger has to be the uncrustable burger, peanut butter, jelly, bacon, and cheese just taste so good in a burger. My favorite shake is the Elvis, it pairs well with a lot of their burgers. I highly recommend that if you are in Kearney you check this place out, their staff is great and their burgers are amazing.

Best Burger you’ll ever eat! This is one of my favorite restaurants by far. The staff is so friendly and the burgers are cooked to perfection and made from local beef. Don’t miss out on the amazing appetizers like Crab Rangoon fries or the Crispy Cauliflower. Pair your burger of choice (good luck choosing) with in house cut fries or even some sweet potato tots. Don’t forget to ask your server about specials, you don’t want to miss out on limited time items. Be sure to grab a shake too, you can even get them for on the go, strawberry is my go-to! Next time you’re hungry, support local and come with an empty belly!

We were on our way home and craving a goooood burger! Found this place and it didn't disappoint! It was a Sunday and arrived around 3:20pm which was perfect because they close at 4pm. Our server was one of the best! Very patient and answered all my daughter's questions!

The burgers are over $10 and do not come with a side but at least the sides aren't too pricey! We had the Jalapeño Popper and so so so good! Sweet with heat!

We did get all shakes...and the churro does get a churro! But on the shakes I would give a 3 star. For the price I thought they would be bigger and thicker! Mine was pretty liquidy when I received it.

But all and all...we were happy we found this place!

Fast, friendly service. Good food too. One of the best strawberry shakes around. Vanilla ice cream with real strawberries, not strawberry flavored. Not from the area, but will definitely stop back next trip through.

Had the waffle fries with coleslaw and pork ends and OMG. I should have just ordered this. Fried pickles were ok. Also had the Nebraska Farmer Burger and it was delish. Got truffle fries with mine. So good. Definitely worth the drive!!

Stopped here passing through town....really needed a hamburger! The place was unique, had a large selection of beers, and root beer on tap!!! Country fried steak is just a breaded fried hamburger patty though.

We stopped by for dinner on our way across the state. Our burgers were great, some of the best I've had in a long time. The flavors were well balanced, too, and the toppings added to the experience without taking over. The salad was fresh. The only thing that I'd mark them down for was we asked for a low seating table and they told us we'd have to sit outside when there were over 20 seats available at low tables and only 5 of them were ever filled with people in the entire time we ate. The service of our waiter was also excellent.

This place is so cute and immediately inviting when walking in! Jessica was the absolute sweetest person ever and took great care of us!! The food was amazing and i definitely recommend the lemonade!! I will definitely be back!!

We always have excellent service in a clean and friendly atmosphere. The food is always on point! My granddaughter from Kentucky requests this restaurant every time she's in town. She brags about the toasted marshmallow shake. If you haven't tried Angus Burgers and Shakes....Go! You won't be disappointed.

Great Atmosphere, Great Service, Great Food. Found them passing by on I-80. Well worth the stop. Crab Rangoon Fries had incredible flavor, were a bit soggy, but oh so good. The Nebraska Farmers Burger was perfect, crispy hash brown, egg and bacon. The angus beef's flavor was spot on. Onions rings were my favorite, perfectly prepared. Blueberry Lemonade was refreshingly tart and a bit overly sweet. The brownie Shake was expensive and small, but thick as a shake should be and oh so yummy.

Easy to accommodate gluten free. Burger was good. Truffle fries were topped with Parmesan and herbs (not listed on menu, so be advised if dairy issues) and didn't have much truffle flavor.

Flavorful burgers that are anything but ordinary. service is very fast and friendly. The shakes are also pretty good. Hard to find anything not to like. Prices are about $25 a person for lunch.
