Bilda's Friess Lake Pub

BBQ was excellent! Their burnt ends melt in your mouth. Pulled pork is tender, smoky, and, in my opinion, doesn't need sauce. The ribs had pull but were tender, with a sticky, tangy sweet sauce. The brisket was tender, the best I've had in a WI BBQ joint. This is a cozy place, with a definite Midwest feel. They will make you feel right at home as soon as you walk in the door. Definitely check this place out.

No table service, but bartender Richard was keeping up with drink orders just fine while food was ordered at the hostess station. Friendly service. Was mostly packed at 5:15 pm for Friday Fish Fry. Wife had the AYCE fish fry, half potato crusted which I preferred and half beer battered which she like better. She paired that with sour cream and chive fries. I had the bluegill, an ample portion, with the potato pancakes. I also indulged in 2 craft beers. They have a great craft beer selection on tap. Glad we stumbled upon this wonderful WI gem.

The stack the smash burger is always a great choice. One of the best burgers around, customized how you want it. Get it on Tuesday as their special. You won’t be disappointed. The atmosphere is always great too with their great bartenders and beer on top.

Holy Smoked Goodness! If you have been to Bilda's Friess Lake Pub you KNOW what I am talking about. If you haven't been to Bilda's, oh come on! Go! The food is delicious and the staff is awesome. It isn't a traditional sit down restaurant but they take great care of you throughout the food journey. The smoked chicken wings are fantastic and they make their BBQ sauce in house, so yeah it is great.
Pretty sure you can't go wrong with whatever you order on their menu from Burgers to Pizza, from Crab Cakes to a Giant Pretzel they do it all well. Another thing I love is the premium meats they use from Ney's, so quality is the key. Any way go check them out have some fun and enjoy the food.

Food was great. Service is different than your typical restaurant. No server, you walk up to the cashier or bar and order what you want and they get it to your table. The owner was there while we had a late lunch, and he was super friendly and very engaging. Amazing tap beer selection. Great experience overall.

Great food, friendly staff, excellent selection of beers on tap. We got the pulled pork and brisket sliders, both of which were delicious. The Sunday chicken special was melt in your mouth...the kids finished most of my leftovers in the car on the way home. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area!

This is an amazing place to eat! It's not your typical restaurant with bar food, but an experience for those who don't mind a very casual atmosphere. It may not be for everyone, but if you enjoy great food, craft beer, and humorous decor check out Bilda's!

We had a fun lunch at Bilda's. I had the Big Boy Double Smash Burger with fries and Patty had the Pulled Pork sandwich. All were excellent. Driven past this place many times and so decided to give them a try. Interesting decor with hundreds of mugs and lots of old signs. Friendly staff to.

If you haven't taken the time to stop in to Bildas yet, you are seriously missing out on everything! The food is incredible. The best, BEST Reuben sandwich on the planet. I try them everywhere I go. This is the primo Reuben bomb! Then there's the seared brisket sandwich. Awesome!!! We've had their pizzas. They are made from scratch. Thin crust. Fresh ingredients. Great pizza sauce. They have an endless selection of unique craft,& Belgium beer. The owner knows everything you'd want to know about beer and more! Great bourbon and rye selection too. You just have to check it out. The prices are super affordable! What else do you need! We love this place.

My wife and I stopped for a fish fry. They have beer battered and a potato crust, we ordered a combination, both were very good, although I preferred the beer batter. Good size portions, I was full and my wife took some home. I want to stop again and try their highly acclaimed barbeque.

Awesome craft beer selection! Haven't been here in awhile. Staff is great to handle the phones, orders, everyone coming in. Perch is nice, meaty & Cajun cod great & both were generous portions. Crab cakes were fantastic with a spiced sauce that we loved with the right amount of heat. Must get back here!

Great beer selection and good food. Pan fried fish is excellent as are the pizzas. My wife loved the prime rib. Smoked wings are a staple. Vast outdoor seating. Occasional live music. All hail Schmidty and the the Troubadours!

We stopped on a Friday for lunch and was pleasantly surprised they do their Friday fish fry specials (most of them) all day! I opted for the brisket sandwich and added fried onions on top, it was super tender and very flavorful, can’t wait to try more on their menu!

I treated my son to lunch for his 33rd birthday 🎂It so happened that we were driving by BILDA'S FRIESS LAKE,and injoyed everything we ate and drank. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. The pizza 🍕 was really good, and my son's hamburger 🍔 was awesome. Can't wait to go back.

In town passing through for work. I live in Cape Coral FL and this place nailed it. Smoked wings are on point, brisket was fire! Cool little place that draws you in helplessly as soon as you see and smell the smoker. Hats off from a Florida boy...damn good BBQ

I love the food and times here! Today they had a car show and the turnout was amazing! Food was amazing per usual, and the beer is always cold! Great times at bilda's!!

The roads are seriously under construction surrounding this place. Just stick with it and follow the signs - it's worth it. We had the bbq platter and a chicken slider. We had 4 brews all great. A bit pricey but it was a treat.

This place is always packed, and for good reason! Crab patties and potatoe crusted cod.... lord, take me now. So SOOO good. Not to mention the staff hussle like crazy and have great fun while at it!!!!! Everyone works together with smiles and jokes. We will be back over and over again!

Went there to meet some friends and to listen to a band they had playing there. Dining area inside was very nice and rustic looking. Dining area outside was very spacious with lots of seating with umbrellas. Seems to be a BBQ restaurant since they have a large smoker outside. Food was reasonable with a large menu to choose from. Placing food and drink items were done at the bar inside, where your issued a number that you keep and in which you use to purchase more items for your stay there. When leaving, you go to the bar and pay your bill with your number. Discount if you pay with cash. Would like to go back for lunch or dinner sometime. Recommend this restaurant.
