Recently I was sent to the ER and then admitted for a whole week in the Pediatric unit in the hospital(surgery overflow area). The care I received in the ER by Sophia the nurse was so amazing! She was so caring about my needs but yet professional too. From X-ray, cat scan to blood work everyone treated me great. Now to talk about the nurses in pediatrics and the first thing I want to say is THANK YOU! With the staff shortages going on all these nurses are overworked but that doesn’t stop them from being so amazing. Every single one that took care of me treated me with the utmost respect and care. No matter how busy they was my needs were always meet and very quickly. I can’t brag enough about them- Kerri, Kayleigh, Cheri, Theresa, Hope, Amira, Zarina, Taylor, Jasmine, Melissa and Ryan(sorry if I forgot anyone). There was also Allie that did my hair, washed and braided a couple times to cheer me up(thank you) All of you made my stay so much better because of the care you gave me! Also to mention the food service staff, the blood work staff, PT and OT staff, the social worker and all the doctors I seen-thanks to everyone!!!

First off I want to say, I honestly do not know why this Hospital has a low review rating. Hospitals are here to save your life, the nurses, doctors and specialists who work here; risk their own life to care for anybody who needs it and for long shifts too. You’re irritated with waiting 8 hours, some of them are there for 12-24 hours. Keep that in mind when waiting getting treated and making a review. Next up I would like to thank Linda Keever, NP her experience is unmatched, I have been across the Nation, I’ve been to Hospitals that are top rated and I have never had a Nurse Practitioner know exactly what was wrong with my Son before even running any tests. Then after running the test boom, exactly what she said…Strep. She also took care of me at the END of her shift when I’m sure all she was thinking about was relaxing. Not only that but I walked into a literal NIGHTMARE when it comes to the ER. I’ve never seen an ER so packed and people so impatient to be cared for. I mean I don’t get it, it’s your health and maybe you life at stake why be so rude and impatient with the staff? That’s why I personally couldn’t be a nurse, I don’t have the temperament for it and I applaud the Nurse’s and all the staff members today, in the midst of a literal nightmare they were able to handle every single obstacle with ease and calm. I also want to thank the Muslim Sister who initially registered us and also helped us before we left, Mashallah very kind and with a SMILE in the midst of all the chaos. Thank you to the Nurse who helped administer the tests to my Son for being such a cool person giving my son a high five, when my son began to freak out he didn’t lose his cool or get frustrated he kept the same exact calm and soothing tone throughout the entire ordeal with the assistance also of Linda Keever, NP. I wish I could give names to all those who helped us. 10000 blessings to you all. Thank you so much, for all you do not not just what you did for my son!

throughout my pregnancy, i went to the ob center here & then also delivered here. everyone was so. helpful, compassionate & kind. it honestly made it a joyful experience & took most of the scare of giving birth away. Dr Addams was absolutely phenomenal, she delivered my son via emergency c section but even the 12 hours of labor leading up to that point she was so kind & fun. The nurse shannon worked her last shift ever with me & helped me so much throughout the entire labor & delivery. The anesthesiologist Glen made the epidural & then the c section as great as it could be & talked me through the entire process so i wasn’t scared or confused. I would definitely go back here if i have another baby, even in postpartum all the nurses were so kind & helpful as this was my first baby. they even had a cute little goody bag waiting for us in the room after we delivered!

I was traveling through upstate NY in July and August last year on an extended road trip and went to the ER for an infection I wasn't able to kick for several weeks. They took me in quickly, diagnosed my problem accurately, got me on the right medication, and gave me great follow up advice for when I got home. After three prior urgent care visits, and weeks on antibiotics, I was so grateful to finally get on the right path. I feel I was treated kindly and professionally, despite how busy they were that night. Many heartfelt thanks to the entire staff.

My mom has been in this hospital for 4 days now and we hope that she will be discharged tomorrow. She has never stayed in this hospital and she is 88 years old, we always go to Saint Elizabeth's. The care and attention she has received here has been top notch. She was in the ICU unit and her nurse Eldon who was/ is amazing. Truly just so real and caring and her physician, Doctor Andrew Pellecchia was genuine, honest and I can not praise him enough. The time he took to explain things to me was unlike any Doctor I have encountered. Everything about this hospital was amazing from the minute I walked through the door. No one wants to be in the hospital ever, but if you need to be I would chose this one every time, hands down. Truly amazing, caring and knowledge staff .

I went in for a laparoscopic procedure with my regular OBGYN who is a specialist in Gynaecological Surgery. I cannot say enough good things about my experience at St. Luke’s. The nursing staff were absolutely stupendous. Extremely kind and professional bedside manner. The anaesthesiologist was extremely knowledgeable and confident and put me at ease prior to my procedure. My doctor had confidence in his team and he did a great job. St. Luke’s is underestimated. It is an old and outdated building but appearances are deceiving. I have never had a better experience at a hospital all around!

I had an outpatient surgery. I was respected and treated with compassion from the time of entry to discharge .the staff from10:30-5:30pm that worked with me were absolutely amazing.Dr Goldberg,my pre surgery nurse Jen, The anethesiologist, and the many other nurses that attended to me. I'm sure each of them had there own areas of responsibility. The time in pre op is important for staff to do what they need to do and for the patient to relax and ask any questions. This was my first surgical event and is was a GOOD experience

I want to thank the staff, doctors, and nurses at St. Luke's. I originally went to Oneida Hospital with weakness and numbness through my body. Oneida first told me I had bleeding on the brain, then they changed it to old blood, and then to a migraine and decided to release me. My husband and I didn't feel comfortable with the decision so we went to ST. Luke's. They took it seriously, admitted me into the stroke unit and found out I had a small stroke along with a hemorrhage. I was in there a few days and got the best care. I am extremely grateful for them.

I was rushed to st.lukes in an ambulance about 5 days ago I was put into ICU. I would just like to commend the staff that took care of me during that time. They have been very caring and attentive. My favorite nurse is a night nurse named Kerri who normally works over night in the peds unit during recovery I was put there to continue my steroids. That woman is heaven sent. She cares about everything about u. I work up having a panic attack and she rushed right in to hug me and tell me I'm ok. She constantly checked on me to make sure I was getting the best care. When she comes in for her shift she seen I was still here and said hey girl and sat down in the chair next to me and asked me how the day went. Like a best friend I never knew I had. I hope this reaches her and she gets tough see what an impact she has made on me. The woman is literally heaven sent and so glad she was apart of my recovery. Thank you st.lukes for taking the absolute best care of me. I have never felt more taken care of in a medical place in my life. With all the covid and the rough year they have had I believe they need a shout out.

I've been here twice in the last two weeks. Once for surgery and once for an unrelated ER visit. The medical staff both times was superb and always looking out of my needs and concerns. The nurses were all friendly and caring.

There’s nothing pleasant about a COVID test, but the entire staff working in the respiratory triage had a great sense of humor, and were kind and professional. Thanks for doing such a tough job!
