boy oh boy what a treat! hardly any pictures because I ate it too fast. the customer service is spot on, I was even lucky enough to meet the owner / chef. I had the burata and tomato appetizer which was devine. my burger was cooked perfectly medium, even the flavor of the pickle had thought put into it. the fries... I can't even begin. our dessert was the heath bar creme brulee and the cheese plate, personally recommended by the owner. our Bartender was knowledgeable and very sweet. this is what date nights should be. get there early! reservations are a must! absolutely worth every penny!

I visited Communal Kitchen for Hudson Valley Restaurant Week 2019 with my friend. It was a casual atmosphere with friendly staff. I enjoyed warm goat cheese with fig jam which had a nice contrast for the palate. My main course was trout stuffed with spinach and mushrooms over mash potatoes. Dessert was warm bread pudding in white chocolate sauce. I savored the flavors of the meal and good company.

We had a wonderful dinner here. The menu options are varied and unique; our table had a cavatelli/lobster pasta special, orichiette carbonara, and lamb short ribs. We all enjoyed our meals, and the service was very friendly and attentive. I'm eager to go back.

Crab mac and cheese and the lamb ribs are delicious. Gave me a complimentary champagne for my bday. The blueberry and blackberry crisp for dessert was excellent. Looking forward to visiting again.

I have driven past this place many times to get to the center of Nyack but never really noticed it. I am so glad that today I decided to stop in for dinner and drinks. They absolutely deserve 5 stars because the food was delicious as well as presented beautifully. I would recommend the pork meatballs, the ricotta plate, as well as the mussels. I think they might have been the best mussels I've ever had. I will be coming back !

Can we just say, wow! What a meal we enjoyed at Communal last night. I had their infamous roasted brussels which were absolutely amazing as usual and tried the Korean sweet potato special which was divine.
My husband had the octopus and the ahi tuna which he said were both cooked perfectly and I had the Farro chopped salad, so fresh and delicious. The portions were all gigantic so it was hard to fit in our drinks, espressos and two desserts but everything was so delicious we made it happen!
The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was warm and cozy.
We will definitely be back, this was one of the best meals we’ve had in years. Thank you!

This is nice restaurant with a chill vibe and a minimalist style. They change the menu often so there's always something new to try. Get the specials, you'll won't regret it. The food is to die for. It's no fuss, simple ingredients, yet packs a punch with flavor. I haven't tried a single dish I didn't like. Oh and their cocktails are addicting!!!

Came with 4 adults and a child requiring a high chair. Very accommodating, knowledgeable about the menu, and had wonderful customer service. Casual, but intimate atmosphere that promotes conversation and with food that is delicious. Can't say enough good things, we will definitely be back!

Craft cocktails are insanely good.
That the food is just as inventive, is a huge plus.
Add to that a knowledgeable and responsive bartender, how could it not be 5 star!!!
Only thing I would change is the TV has a blackboard over it. (lol).
But we are understandably in the minority, sports fans AND fine dining connoisseurs.

When we first called to see if they can accommodate us we were uncertain. But when we got there, not only did they accommodate us but the owner of the restaurant came out and spoke to us to ask what we wanted. The food was excellent. If you are vegan definitely go! Incredible food, great service, really good wine we were totally thrilled. Definitely will be back!

Looks like a little hipster place. Small, with nice decor. The seats are very small and high, my only semi complaint. Once you're drunk enough, you forget how small they are. The service was great, server was knowledgeable on the specials and the menu. Down the the nitty gritty: The food. It was amazing. I don't eat meat so I ate only veggie plates, but boy was I impressed. They even have their own little garden of herbs out front that they pick from. Price are on the higher side, but you get pretty large portions.

The food was absolutely amazing the cocktails were really good as well the service was impeccable honestly the only negative that I can say about this place is that it's in Rockland County and I live in Westchester so I can't go as often as I want to. But I would go back here in a heartbeat I want to try everything on the menu. Stop looking for a place to eat just go here already order everything you won't be disappointed!

Went here on a day trip after spending the afternoon at the Botanical Gardens - it's on the way back home if you're driving back to the Hudson Valley. Great spot. Love it. A nice waiter told my husband his hair Is Everything which is I guess something nice the kids are saying these days. The ambiance is excellent, the food is exceptional, and the staff is amazing.

We had the brisket burger and the poutine. Excellent across the board.

Wonderful dining experience. Staff was courteous, friendly and quick. Food was very good and the drink menu was lovely. Bit noisy at some points, but it's a small space. Overall, 9/10, would absolutely go back.

I’ve been here twice - two years apart. Both visits were exceptional. We were warmly welcomed at the door and sat at the bar where we received friendly and attentive service. The food and drinks here are notably good. I have nothing but great things to say about Communal Kitchen.

We've been ordering take out for about 2 months and loved the food, so we decided to go for sit down meal. We called and reserved a high top table by the window but once we arrived the lovely hostess offered us a regular table. The food was spectacular, from the creamy cheese with fig jam and almonds as a small plate starter straight through to the short rib rigatoni and crab cakes, all we could do was smile with every bite. We will definitely continue to support this farm to table eatery.

Great food and service, intimate yet lively, can accommodate small and large groups. We were 10 diners.

Wonderful food and very attentive, kind staff. Our server, Alex, provided for a great experience. The chef, Jed, even came out to greet us after our meal. Overall, excellent and friendly atmosphere. Definitely order the Brussel Sprouts.

We had an outstanding meal tonight with nothing the best of service thanks to Ryan (mixologist). We started with the octopus and the seared tuna and the CK burger. Highly recommend this establishment if you're in the mood for great craft drinks and tasty bites.

After that, i didn't think the meal could get any better.
Everything that followed was just as amazing.
I did not have room for dessert but tried the creme brulee brownie.
Our server, Shana was a delight, sweet and described the menu like a poet.
Atmosphere has that chic dimly lit Manhattan vibe.
Will return when visiting this area again.

They "gave" us a "complimentary" dessert for our anniversary but i rechecked the bill a day later.
We were charged!!! ((Ouch))
