Taco Stop MKE of Elm Grove

This is such good authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price. I almost always order online then go pick up my order, even if I’m eating in, it just seems easier and faster. My favorite is the barbacoa taco, really flavorful juicy meat on a fresh tortilla with tasty toppings. The inside of this restaurant looks like a basic fast food place, there are nice little tables for eating outside when the weather is nice.

This place is legit, authentic, Mexican food at its best. I got 2 of the El pastor soft flour tortilla taco with lettuce and cheese. Then, a chorizo and cheese soft flour taco. All were amazing. Don't forget to order some chips and guacamole. They hook you up with a lot of tortilla chips. Everything is made fresh. The small wait time is worth tje wait!

Tried a variety of tacos, they were all delicious! Very fresh ingredients and they have Lengua tacos!! Handmade fresh shells were excellent!

Excellent authentic food priced right...the only thing I didn't like is they won't give you a glass of tap water, either buy a bottle of water or no water for you.

So dang good. I ordered the chicken chimichangas and it was amazing. I got the two mini ones minus tomato and sour cream. The green salsa is fantastic. And the rice and beans are so good. Absolutely will be back again.

Taco stop is awesome and I love that the tamales are made by the grandma. The masa was so good just in it's own. Ever since I had the food for the food I've be dreaming about the tamales. I tried to go today but I pulled up to find it's closed Sundays. But I'm super excited to return to get food you can taste is made with love and fast service.

Recently discovered this restaurant. It is absolutely delicious—generous portions, more than fair prices. I must say, out of all the Mexican restaurants I've visited, this is the best! Don't know how you do it, but keep it up. Will be back often!

I love their Chimichanga here. They also have really good rice and beans. I'm sure their other menu items are good as well, but I just always go for the Chimichanga.

Tried today for the first time and it was great! Friendly service, food was made quickly and tasted very good! Will be coming back.

Some of the best tacos I've ever had! Great service and reasonably priced. You can tell that they use high quality ingredients.

The food was delicious. Prices are comparative to the area. I would call ahead during lunch hours because it took a while for our food with so many people there for pickups. Will definitely be back.

Incredible authentic Mexican food! We’ve ordered from here on DoorDash 3 times now and have loved it so much, I’m reviewing them anywhere I can. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food and the quality! All the tacos are amazing, but we especially have loved the carnitas, barbacoa, and al pastor. The elote, chimichangas and quesadillas have been great too! The spicy salsa is awesome - we love spicy food and it definitely has a kick!

I wish I had photos to share, but we’re always so excited when the food arrives, we haven’t remembered to take any! But we love this place and will continue to order from here often!

I don't go to Taco Stop for the atmosphere, which I would describe as "ok, whatever, there are tables and a restroom, you can eat there."

I go for the food. Which thus far has been 100% excellent. You can get a completely gluten-free meal* simply by getting hard or soft corn shell tacos, and there are some other things that are gluten free as well - which is important for some folks. Wife and I have had several things there, all have been good, but she always circles back to corn soft shell tacos (carnitas, cilantro and onion) - I always circle back to chimichangas, usually chorizo, sometimes barbacoa. It's not that there's nothing else or the other stuff isn't good, it's just preference.

When I just need some go-to Mexican, this is the place. I'm usually carrying out, usually 5-10 minutes from placing order to walking out the door with food in hand.

Potential improvements that aren't worth removing a star for include "either fix the self-serve kiosks or put them away completely" and "I'd like to order online without setting up an account with yet another place to log in, where I'm charged an additional fee for the convenience." Neither of these is a deal-breaker, you can go there, walk up to the human, place your order using the power of speech, pay with your charge card, just like everywhere else.

*When I say completely gluten free, I'm not talking about stray molecules of gluten - there is gluten to be had in the place, flour tortillas exist there. So if you're Celiac, use caution, if you're just gluten sensitive you're fine.

These might be my favorite tacos in the city! So simple yet so full of flavor and delicious! Quick service and friendly staff!

EDIT: The fresh chips and the Guac are SO GOOD.
I'm so glad this came to my neighborhood. I will not be going to Qdoba or Chipotle any longer. The food quality is great, and I feel like i'm eating real mexican food. Even though it is "fast" it's still superb to me.

This place might have the best to go Mexican in Milwaukee and I hope it stays a secret gem. Food is amazing. Always 10/10 and the portions are massive for the price. Wife and I average going here once a week. If you’re looking for an inexpensive, delicious meal — this place is the answer!

What brought my attention were the menu choices. Some traditional dishes and some Americanized dishes. I appreciated the mix and options available. Lots of seating inside and a small patio with outdoor seating. I had the intention of getting tacos but ordered enchiladas and hubs ordered the flautas. Both were good but the flautas were def. fresh and crispy (really hit the spot that day with the fresh lettuce and salsa). I will be back to try other dishes! Pricing is also surprisingly decent. Service was great and everyone was friendly and helpful. You order at the counter and they give you a number to bring it to the table when ready.

Love this place, the build your own taco is awesome and the food is great
