Sunset Beach Hotel

This is just for the food at the restaurant. The season is just opening and the restaurant was starting to get a little busy. The vibe felt very south of France; but I’m sure it will turn into more of a party scene later this summer. The food was good but nothing to write home about. The views were right on the beach and all the greenery and orange/yellow coloring made the space so summer and fun. Highly recommend for lunch.

Had lunch there today and the place is pretty cool; amazing water views, great food and drinks. Our servers deserve special recognition. Jonathan R is one of the kindest, most personable servers we’ve ever had. He is really quite special. Also, Ajax, Bojana and Benji deserve recognition too. All four are amazing and Sunset Beach 🏝 is truly fortunate to have them on their side.

We come every year on several occasions each year. Every year you have people who show up with no reservations trying to eat at the restaurants whose cars end up getting towed because they never made a reservation and have no where to park. Those are the people too cheap to pay for a reservation online who end up not getting a table and leaving a 1 star review.

Sunset beach is gorgeous. There’s no other setting in the Hamptons area like it. That’s it. Grab a reservation and enjoy the scene. Dress it up.

Service and vibe is a bit euro, so don’t expect service with Midtown Manhattan rush-hour speed.

Sunset Beach is a Shelter Island institution. Always a great time. French fries and frosé are a hit, beach scenery is lovely, and the music is top notch.

You feel you are no longer in The Americas but somewhere in the South of France. And it hits you with such a delightful vengeance, simply awesome. The gleam of the sun reflecting on the waters before you, the small pleasure boats and big yachts gently moving up and down in the waters, the shores across, the sound of the red seaplane landing and taking off at the beach, dropping off passengers and taking in new ones is something from a long gone by era. The settings of Sunset Beach Restaurant and Tree House are spectacular and that's why we keep going back. ( my favorite... the super creamy burrata blistered San Marzano's tomatoes with pistachios add great crunch and taste!) Yes…it is overpriced for this seasonal beach restaurant. We do go back many times… the boat ride over from Connecticut, the location, the beautiful white sandy beach and warm ocean water - calls us back time and time again. ⛵

My happy place! Need I say more. The food, ambiance and if you like chase sunsets then you’re at the right place.

There is no other place quiet like Sunset. We’ve stayed here, we drink & eat here annually and watch the sunset. Staff is friendly, drinks are delicious. @todaysyum

Had a birthday dinner at the restaurant. It was delicious and great views. The service was also on point

I eat here at least once every year, mid July on my birthday. I don't care about the prices because the location and general feel of the place is transporting - you could be anywhere on the Mediterranean. And watching the hipsters from the South Fork (Hamptons) is so entertaining

I love this place. If you are stuck between the new Duryea's Orient Point and Sunset Beach, definitely do sunset beach. Duryea is a disappointment and the montauk kids are just boating over and infecting the place. Plus Duryea doesn't allow pets.

This place is amazing, great staff, good crowd, and brilliant food. Been there twice already and will come back, the music and views are A+

Beautiful place, romantic, peaceful, private, chic and very, very french. One of the things wich I like most was the restaurant and its view right on the sunset and the wood fire at night where you can inteact with the rest of the guest in a very familiar way. 👌🏻Nice!

welcome to the bougiest place on earth. either spend money here or dont it really doesnt matter. myself i am keen on playing some petanque in the back of the location, for free, or ping pong, for free, or even lounge in the sunroom because i used to work here and it was something i literally never had a chance to do sober or out of desire because no one wants to be at work on their day off. but dont fret. the beach is pretty amazing for how small it is. and everyone that works here is a model. so youre almost always in good hands. also their burger is probably the best

Beautiful place to eat by the water, drink on the beach, by a firepit. Drinks ain't cheap, but nothing is out here. Hard to get to, busy on weekend evenings and nights. Age range: 21-70. All ages come here.

THE place to see and be seen. The quintessential Hamptons Hangout! Bring several bottles of wine and your Beach gear for an amazing Hamptons afternoon in the Sun. Finish with dinner and Cocktails at the hotel to round out the perfect day!! PS bring your platinum card because you won't be finding any Bargains here!!

Great and quiet family oriented, with nearby upscale bar overlooking beach. Water is still and sunsets are great. (Don't pass it around, 'less it get too busy)

The food was delicious and the view from the restaurant is amazing. Nice chill environment in the back. Good for some drinks with friends with good music
