Room was beautiful, and well kept. Prices were reasonable for off season. Staff was amazing, and communicated every step of the way. On site restaraunt had a small, but fairly priced menu that didn’t break the bank and the food was phenomenal. Didn’t get to go to the on site bar, but will definitely plan to next time. Stayed in the deluxe king suite #12, and highly recommend. Will definitely be coming back!

Reception staff were amazing!! Milly & Amy took excellent care of us from check in to check out even messaging us constantly to make sure everything was great. Loved our room, the picnic basket breakfast and Rose Happy Hour. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay that is different from all the usual hotel stays!

Just got back from a Sunday to Monday quick get away. The complex/grounds are really nice. The speak easy Brix and Rye is the coolest bar I've been to in a while (great pizza). The black Llama bar is also really nice and lounge like. The place is right in town and you could walk to everything (even in January). We will definitely come back for the warmer weather.

Decided on a last minute trip to Greenport for my wife’s birthday and we landed on American Beech and thank god we did! From the second we booked the room Milly made the entire stay so special from a room upgrade to sparkling rose upon arrival. The room was beautiful and the location couldn’t have been better. Would definitely recommend staying here!

My fiancé and I went to American Beech for a drink, as per recommendations of friends. We were greeted at the bar by, Ryan, the General Manager (and bartender for the evening). He served us an after-dinner drink and included some champagne for a celebratory toast. He was kind, interesting, and sociable while we exchanged stories of our travels, local vineyards, and more. We had a great time and wish him all the best. Thanks for the convo and hospitality, we appreciate you.

Loved our mini moon at American Beech! Such a fun place to stay! The rooms were clean and had great amenities! We had a welcome basket with water, face masks, and chocolate. We loved the robes and had them on all the time. I was worried about the noise but we brought a sound machine to drown out the music. The breakfast in the morning was a pleasant surprise and arrived right on time at 9 am in the cutest little picnic basket!! Each day they had rosè happy hour for the guests which we never made it to but loved the idea of! But such a great place to stay! Totally recommend!

This review about the restaurant, not about the hotel

I visited on Thanksgiving Eve with my husband, just for dessert and coffee and take out food

The place is very beautiful and cozy.  Service is fast and friendly.  Food is delicious.  It is not cheap at all but it is worth it.

Definitely want to visit again if I get a chance.

Right in the heart of Greenport you could not ask for a better hotel/restaurant location if you are visiting short or long term. The restaurant is always updating the feel and menu which never fails to deliver. Wine & Cocktail program has always been super top shelf. Hospitality is always on point and never feels cold or stale. Highly recommend this as a place to stay and/or a great Brunch/Dinner spot.

A lovely hotel right in Greenport. Room 12 was one flight up and was quiet. The king bed is super comfortable. And there is coffee and wine available in the room. The bathroom is very well appointed with separate shower and tub. The floor tiles are so pretty with a black and white daisy design. Bathrobes, too! And big fluffy towels. The room is spotlessly clean. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The American Beech Hotel is a spectacular retreat. Pamper and indulgent yourself wrapping in luxurious robes, sipping a Nepresso, and enjoying a picnic basket breakfast delivered to your door. Walk and explore the waterfront, shops, and head back for pizza and drinks in the courtyard. You won’t be disappointed! The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating.

Loved the whole experience. My wife and I stayed there a few days after Labor Day. We stayed in room 12, small but cozy and modern and breakfast was delivered to the door every morning. Outside there is like a whole lounge area were you can sit on the shade and relax or read. at night we brought out a bottle of wine and sat and hung out with other guests. Lots of fun and right close to heart of town

It is a very unique, beautiful boutique hotel . The room was ready about 1:30 vs 3pm standard check-in time. The reception area is rather large. There is seating by the entrance and a majority space of the space is a boutique. The rooms are in separate areas throughout the space. Read the fine print carefully before you book. It is stated very clearly where the room location is-above Brix&Rye, reception etc & they cannot guarantee quiet. To get to rooms 11, 12, & 14 (above the reception area) you had to go outside, enter a separate part of the building, & go upstairs. We heard music once for a brief period of time. This area was quiet and the only time you heard anything was when people shut their doors.
The room was beautiful, spacious with many windows & views of the main & side streets. There were 2 robes, 4 very large towels, a hand towel, a face cloth specifically for makeup removal. The Ortigia products were wonderful- liquid handsoap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner & solid soap. However, I wish I had brought my own conditioner. We received 2 bottles of water, 2 face masks & a personalized note. The room refrigerator was large and while it had various minibar items there was plenty of room for our food items & water. The nespresso machine was a nice touch touch too.
Because it was a rainy weekend (due to Hurricane Ophelia) you could not sit outside in any of the areas referred to as Stirling square/the Lounge. The American Beech restaurant was open and covered outdoor seating was available. There was a very unique seating area upstairs to the left of the reception desk right outside Black Llama bar (closed). What I really liked was all info was communicated through text (there are no phones in the room). Between 4 & 5pm rosè hour there was a glass from a Long Island winery given to each guest. We did walk around Greenport, but the weather was rainy & the maritime festival was cancelled. Dinner was at 1943 pizza bar which was delicious. Breakfast was a continental breakfast delivered at 9am in a picnic basket on top of a tray one can use to eat breakfast in bed. Not a fan of that, but comfy chairs and a table in the room were perfect. It included yogurts, bagels, OJ, butter, CC, jelly, 2 coffees, a banana & orange. We were very pleased with our stay & hope to return on a better weather weekend.

This is the best place to stay. Rooms are amazing, the bathroom floors are heated. They bring you bagels and coffee in the morning, which is clutch. I love this place

A vacation in Long Island wine country is complete if you stay at the American Beech. It was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the charming store/ lobby to the clean, crisp, chic and cozy room it was luxurious. The American Beech restaurant that resides beside it is also magical with its hidden seating sections and rich gardens. It’s an oasis with the most delicious truffle fries and cocktails. The two people who ran the reception area were very helpful, quick and kind.
I’d recommend using the car services in the area to get around because it’s not super Uber/lyft heavy but I was out there during the week so perhaps weekend you may have better luck. There’s tons of shopping, restaurants and beautiful areas to walk around right by the hotel. 10/10 would recommend. I can’t wait to go back!

On the longest day of the year, American Beech was the best place to take in the sunset. Not only is this boutique hotel provide fabulous accommodations to guest, it also provides an ideal location to take in picturesque summer sky. The hotel staff is warm and provides insight on what is happening locally. The hotel ambiance is quite lively, but yet provides the perfect escape from the city. You can dine on site at the restaurant, have a drink at the bar (which is separate from the restaurant, and there is plenty of outdoor setting on the property. The rooms are eloquently designed, modern, but yet quite comfortable. To top it off, staff dropped off a lovely picnic basket for breakfast. This is an ideal place to stay while visiting North Fork wineries. And if you happen to be staying for several days you’re steps away from countless other restaurants to explore for dinner or drinks. Loved it and can’t wait to go back.

Great place to stay !! Conveniently located in town with luxury of breakfast every day and the use of a beach pass !
Only recommendations :
entrance could use a doormat so floors don’t get so dirty; napkins and a sharp knife for the bagels would be helpful in the breakfast basket and lighting in bathroom could be better !
love the privacy of the apartment ; nicely decorated , clean and spacious !
Front desk was super nice !!

The hotel was wonderful. We loved our room. The young ladies at the front desk were helpful, accommodating and very sweet. I hope I have another opportunity to come back and stay. I highly recommend the American Beach hotel.
