IGA Shelter Island

I go there all the time for groceries but just last week used it to cater a party. I am beyond happy. 40 pieces of fried chicken, done to a turn, fresh as can be. I also served the bean and corn salad, cupcakes and peanut butter and chocolate cookies. All were a big hit with my guests.
Great service. Reasonable price.
I'll do that again.

This is such a funny/lovely little grocery.

It reminded me of the small town grocery store from the 2007 flop, "The Mist." It also has shockingly good music playing throughout the store. I found myself dancing several times in the aisles only to catch of a glimpse of several other shoppers doing the same. What a riot!

Heroes of the weekend! We recently had a three day event on Shelter Island and IGA was our saving grace for all needed supplies and catered staff meals. Absolutely amazing, go to them for any of your needs. Thank you again!!

Such a fantastic place. The selection is great and the produce is always fresh, like farm stand quality. Nice meats, cheese and deli offerings also. Sure it’s not Whole Foods but no one would expect that. Everything you would want from a local island grocery store and more. And the owners and associates are also super nice and helpful, and they have the most entertaining and engaging Instagram account! No joke, follow them, so fun.

Great supermarket! The store is very clean, friendly staff and has great selection of organic and local foods. Boars Head Deli. The music is great, it had us and their staff dancing in the aisles. Overall great experience. Been coming here for the past 7 summers and love the shopping experience every time.

Love this store! Great variety in organic, vegetarian and comfort food as well as a ton of essentials you would need for the house! Staff is nice, and the store has the same family community feeling the island does- Also there is a small clothing store by the entrance and I LOVE it! So unique and the clothing is really cool

The IGA was closed when I got there but a woman closing down the till kindly opened up the store again just for me! She went above and beyond!!! Thank you!

A great supermarket with a wonderful selection of food and anything you might need on vacation.

Am a driver went there today and heard they thought was me that gave bad rep. Not me. I go there every day. People have let me go in front of them. Always good quick polite service. Even when i get a bad rep vicariously through another 😆. I may have been sarcastic a few times. but no complaints here. Thanks guys! Cheers!

I love it here. They have a great selection of produce, spices, so many different types of beer, and snacks that are equivalent to those being sold at Whole Foods. One of the best IGAs I have ever been to.

For shelter island this place rocks. They stayed open late on 4th of july week so we could get a few supplies. They had a bunch of stuff, everything we were looking for including tiki torches and bug spray lol. The kids working there were nice and respectful. I was impressed and I dont give praise where its not due.

This IGA always has amazing music, kind and helpful employees, and an amazing selection of fruits and veg! Also this is the best place to find alternative ingredients like quality oat milk, healthy snacks, and vegetarian substitutes. And bonus points for the super cool sweatshirts and tshirts they sell!

They had everything I was looking for! Great produce and great management! Would recommend 10/10 times!
