1943 Pizza Bar

On my recent visit to Greenport, I had lunch with a friend at this simple but cozy pizza bar ... and we really enjoyed it! 👍😊👍

Their salad options were very tempting, so we opted for sharing a Ceasar Salad that was tops 😋 and one of their delicious brick oven pizzas, with a crunchy thinish crust & yummy topping, that was cooked to perfection. 👍😋👍

The service was very friendly and prompt. 😊

Me and the wife went to 1943 pizza for dinner. I had a custom made pie and my wife had the Margherita. Both were fantastic! Nice thin crust with a great tasty crust. Service was amazing. Great music playing. All good vibes. We then went down stairs to Brix and Rye for the best hand crafted mixed drinks on the island. This was our first date spot 6 years ago. Highly recommend. Owners and staff are the nicest people around 👏

Fun fun fun great service even for large party. Limited seating. Wonderful flavors- the ice cream is a must have

Very nice atmosphere with kind staff. Sat outside and split a pizza with my boyfriend for lunch, it was the perfect size for sharing. Pizza was a little greasy, but that is to be expected with pepperoni. Tasted great and service was fair for a busy day!

My son lives on shelter island and recommended your pizza. I thought mashed potatoes on a pizza sounded strange.( he said trust me) 🤪We ended up eating 2 pizzas 🍕 Now I want more but I live in Florida 🥲 I brought both my kids and you were very accommodating!!! Thank you for a great pizza 🍕

After a long day exploring Long Island, pizza at this restaurant hit the sweet spot. Service was fast, friendly & efficient. We had the Red Pie with Fresh Mozzarella, Spicy Soppressata, Roasted Peppers, Basil & Red Onion…cooked to perfection in a wood fired oven…5-stars all the way!!!

Yes. Just yes. It’s giving some of the chilliest vibes and best service you’ll get.

Literally no pizza on eastern Long Island compares to 1943. I’ve even moved 45 mins away and refuse to get my pizza anywhere else. The staff is always super friendly and you can get the best cocktails around downstairs.

Great wood fired pizza. Been here 3 or 4 times now. This time we got a red with mozzarella and a white pie and added caramelized onions. Both were delicious. Place has a good vibe and aesthetic too. Staff is super friendly as well.

Love this little place in the Square where the American Beach Hotel is. Great Brick Oven pizzas varieties of flavors. They have a nice wine by the glass menu and they're brick fired meatballs are delicious yes! Haven't had a pizza there that I haven't liked yet.

So yummy! Wood fired pizza is the way to go. This place is very popular and they don’t take reservations so plan in advance. You can put your name on the list and then sit at the outside bar in the courtyard and the rest will text you when the table is ready.

Love their margarita pizza with sautéed mushrooms! The garlic soup was heavenly on a cold winter day.

Literally my favorite pizza, not your avg slice but If you're looking for something different, go there immediately, get the white pie with ricotta and add bacon and fresh basil..and make sure you get nonnas meatballs, life altering

Coal fired pizza was AMAZING best I’ve had. Staff was super chill and lovely and food came out so quickly. Ambiance was great, except for a couple of bees.
