I love camping in Ottawa. The sites are nice sized [we have a 20x10' tent, as well as a canopy and there's still plenty of room for the dogs to play around]. The beach is clean and they have a little dog area for the pups to swim and play in.

Overall dog approved and we love coming here every year.

It is peaceful and nice ! A Great Lake for kayaking and peddling. However the restroom is so dirty, there is mess on the floor!

The campsites here are so big and wooded, this is going to be one of our favorite parks. For people with mobility issues (and people sick and tired of hikes that feel like boot camp), there are blacktopped places to wander-- including one path along the edge of the lake. There's a big sandy swimming area, picnic tables, playground, and lots of undergrowth in the woods to lend privacy. It feels remote, but you're within easy driving distance of anything you need. The camp showers are modern and they have individual doors. The park staff were friendly and they recommended fun things to do nearby!

Something for everyone. Lake, beach, swimming, kayak and rentals, biking. Camp sites are well separated with foliage. Despite booking the last site, next to the bathroom (which I usually hate). We felt like we still had our own space and privacy. They sell firewood and ice in site. Would go back.

Camped here twice in the past few years, each time very enjoyable with nice spots that offer sufficient space yet privacy. Remodeling 2 of the 3 bathrooms so campers beware for early 2023. Nice lake for gentle kayaking. Short hiking across the street at Scuppernong Springs with longer trails just up the road at Scuppernong (incl Ice Age access).

Had an awesome day at Ottawa Lake. My dog loved being in the crystal clear water swimming. The beach is so family friendly and clean. The sand on the beach reminded of Florida beaches. I will be going back a lot in the future. Please go check it out for yourself.

Went camping here last weekend. Off the beaten track, but that's what I was looking for. Beautiful facilities. Bathrooms were clean and all stocked up. Park itself was not littered. Park staff was all super friendly. I will definitely be coming back. Thanks Ottawa lake team!

I can't explain how much I love this place I can't wait to camp here again. it was a little hot the last time I tried camping. And that was 100% my fault. But the scenery was absolutely gorgeous the lake was very much enjoyed to cool off. And nobody bothered us which is absolutely what I was looking for. I would return to this place anytime and someone wanted me to go camping with them..

We always have reunion picnics here and we love this state park! Bathrooms are clean and close to picnic areas, but the smell in them is pretty atrocious. Lol
Great hiking trails if you love walking in nature. Lovely native flowers & plants everywhere.
There's a little store at the main entry gate which is cute and has some general info about the park in there.

This little park is always peaceful and beautiful. The campsites aren't huge, but they're definitely big enough to set up camp and enjoy without being in your neighbor's lap.

Nice place to cool off on a summer day. Lots of people are there on the weekends. But it is a pretty nice lake. They have some bbq pits. Many people bring there own. There were so many people there having fun and not one cop in sight. Pretty amazing. There is still plenty of room to spread out as well. We say a group of three sand cranes walking around hoping for hand outs. They were making lots of noise. They are Beautiful birds and very large. People fish but i don't think there is really much in the lake.

A wonderful little state park just south of Dousman! The campsites are spacious and private, but are easily linked to the beach and kids park. The lake is super clear and calm; perfect for stand-up paddles, canoes and kayaks. Lots of parking, hook-ups and pet amenities too!

Gotta love that dog beach ! I like the fact that no outboard engines are allowed on the lake, just trolling motors.

It was busy, but for obvious reasons! It's a great lake to swim in, theres grills set up for people that dont own their own. They have a lot of tables and covered areas for groups or multiple small groups. Awesome for kids! There were washroom facilities that were general, nothing special about them. I loved the cranes that were walking about as well. Beautiful sunsets as well! We will be returning for sure!
Ps. Lots of parking as well!

The sites here are very large and private. The beach is amazing, and the camp hosts keep everything so clean. We will be back!

I love going there with my family. It's a perfect get away from home to enjoy the beautiful nature out here. Water is so clear compare to the most of the lakes.

Nice park close to the city! Awesome campground, especially for a state park. Every site was spacious and looked good. It also had a wide road in the campground which is a plus for backing in.
