Some years back my bike got stolen and the person that stole the bike sold it to once ridden bikes. I’m sure the owner had no indication that it was stolen as it was an older used bike. However, I happened to go into their store and my bike was sitting in there. I told the owner that it was my bike and had been stolen. With no questions asked, the owner made a police report and gave my bike back no charge. I was going through a hard time and that meant a lot to me. Thank you to once ridden bikes for giving my bike back. The only regret is that I didn’t write this post sooner.

Joe is always very friendly when I come in and takes the time to answer quick questions I have. He has given me input on bikes I was buying from other sources, and has done quick fixes if he had the time. I like knowing that theres a bike shop close to my house that I can depend on.

Awesome service. The staff new a lot and helped me pick out a bike that fit me. A couple of friends recommended this place to me and I'll be sure to recommended it to others.

What is the hardest thing to find now? Some place you can trust isn't ripping you off, using you for your information, or who will forget you the absolute moment the sale is done.

Once Ridden Bikes isn't like that. They don't have Mickey Mouse super glad faces when they meet you because they are thinking. They are thinking about you. What you need, how they can help you, how they can make whatever cycling dreams you have into a real bike you can ride out sooner than you imagined.

Just now everyone is talking about how no one cares. ORB do care. They really do and I think my experience might give you some insight if you're on the fence about a new bike, a used bike, or ever who to trust with your been through life together friend.

I'm old. Well, older anyway. I got the idea a few years ago to get a bike but I never really had the time. I hate going to the super smiley, bright, shiny places because I don't trust them. High overhead drives get it out the door shenanigans.

So, anyway, I had a very little bit of time and went to ORB. I walked in, moved awkwardly around, and then stood hoping not to block the door too much. In that time the owner, Joe, had recognized I was looking around for a bike but didn't have much of a clue.

Then there was the polite walk up, the interview questions, the run through of inventory, and the final suggestion, based on all my yes/no responses instead of pressure, which lead to a purchase that day. No pressure. Just understanding. You can't get that because you want it. It either exists or it doesn't. ORB - it's there.

So I bought a bike. I really, really like it. I road the next day and I had a blast. I noticed a minor noise and I emailed thinking I might have to wait a week to get seen. Same day. "Get over here". Thinking and caring. That's hard to find.

Anyway, ORB. Go there. They've got you. "What if something goes wrong!?" They've still got you. It's hard to find thinkers with a heart but ORB is the real deal. Go get a bike. You won't be sorry.

I was told by a different bike shop that I needed a new rear wheel. I stopped at Once Ridden Bikes and Joe adjusted the spokes and my wheel was fine. He helped me right away. I also bought two tires and tubes at a great price. Definitely recommend. I just saved over $100 by going to Once Ridden Bikes.

Took my bike in to get a flat repaired. They had the tube changed and my bike ready to go within 15 minutes and cost was <$15 total for parts and labor. Very competent. Additionally, they complimentarily adjusted the position of my brakes and replaced a tire axle nut, which I hadn't even noticed was missing. Store also has a nice selection of reasonably priced bike accessories. Will definitely go back if I ever have more bike issues!

I was looking for a replacement/upgrade from my very old (1990's?) Trek. They had a gravel bike that fits me and is quick but not unstable. Very fair pricing, even gave me something for the old bike. I'm sold, will go back.

I came here on a recommendation from a friend and I'm happy I did! I purchased a hybrid bike from Once Ridden and I'm very pleased with the service and the bike. All three workers at the bike shop helped me at various times while I was there for over an hour trying out different bikes. They worked within my price range and are clearly knowledgeable about their craft. They offered some great advice and let me test ride the bikes. They adjusted the seat and handle bars to fit my size. Can't wait to take my new bike on the trail!

I drive an Ebike… which I learned is quite the hassle for most of these bike shops via the demeanor of the owner/ attendant (which I quickly learned as to why). It was quite the arduous task, procuring the correct tube for said Ebike but the owner/ attendant let me leave my bike while I went on a short (3 mile) excursion by foot because the place wasn’t open yet anyways so I was killing time… came back by COTA with the tube and we spent about 20 mins disassembling, placing and filling the tube w/ tire… the gentleman walked me through the process with patience… almost like a family member would teach the younger chillins. I got to ride my bike off the property and in the end he only charged me $15, I had already paid for the part. Even though this store doesn’t seam like it can be of use to my specific bike, I will highly recommend them and their non-pretentious approach.

Regards
Thomas Andrew.

I'm glad I visited before I read the reviews. I stopped in just to see what I could find, since I wanted to buy a bike to ride around on the trails around Columbus, the owner was a little stand offish, but there were a few young kids running around shop and his attention was on them.
Anyway, while I didn't find them gushing all over me they were polite and courteous, and I returned the next day and purchased the bike. :)
Update 2016:
Still great service! Due to work I didn't really get to use my bike much in 2015. This year I wanted to get back into the swing of things took my and my wife's bike in for a tune up and some other things. They did a great job!

I like to ride my bike to the Planet Fitness on Indianola, about 3 miles from my apartment. Needless to say, I was rather distressed when I came back to my bike after a workout to notice my back tire’s brake line popped loose somehow. I coasted it down to Once Ridden and brought it in to see if it would be a quick fix, and the man that I presume owns the shop took it upon himself to immediately remedy the problem— free of charge. I appreciate the kindness I was shown today and hope that I can pass that on to those I encounter in the future. I will be sure to start bringing my bike in for routine maintence with Once Ridden since I now know I’ll be supporting a business run by incredibly kind humans.

I dropped my sons bike off to have the breaks fixed. Since covid has happened I knew bike shops were backed up at least 3 weeks out. I was hoping since it was just something simple that it could be done quick but was willing to wait a little bit if needed. I got a phone call 2 days after I dropped it off that it was done! I was super impressed and really appreciative of them taking the time to get it done so quickly. A couple weeks before I took my sons bike there, my father visited them to have my sons tire fixed and they did it on the spot for him with no charge, which was amazing so of course my dad tipped them!
I would recommend this shop 100%! Thank you so much for helping us out and thank you from my son, who was super excited to be able to ride bikes again safely with both breaks, with his friends!

Maybe I walked into a different store, but when my partner and I went in to look at bikes, the selection was good, the service was fine (he didn't banter with me about the damn weather, but he greeted us, answered questions, and asked how my day was going). We set up a payment plan for a good-priced bike (it was on sale, which he honored, even with payments) and he threw in a bike helmet for half-price. Good service, good product, and it was all at the right price.

Joe, the owner, is very informative and helpful. I went in with very little knowledge of bikes - looking for a used bike. I walked out with a brand new bike because the cost was so reasonable. He even let me ride the bike around the block before I bought it. Would definitely recommend this place!

Highly recommend this shop. I went to two other, ‘high end,’ bike shops before I ventured into this place. The other two places gave me an appointment for a week later and weren’t able to help me at all. However the gentleman at Once Ridden Bike’s checked my bike for a couple of mins and was able to solve my issue on the spot. This was a technical issue and I have a fair bit of knowledge about bikes as well, but I wasn’t able to do it solve it on my own, but they were able to properly diagnose the issue and solve it on the spot. Great service!

We dropped in to buy pedals for a bike we bought at a thrift store. They were so helpful! And I love that they did not try to sell us anything else or up sell. No pressure, no nonsense. So we asked about a couple other parts we needed. Walked out with a new seat and a used seat too. We will go here first next time we need anything. Prices are incredibly reasonable.

Great Experience! The fellow who seemed to be running the place was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We were looking for a used bike that could be used on campus. Found one at a great price. I'll definitely come back.

I started going here about a year ago because I live nearby. I've been using my dad's 30 year old Nishiki and whenever I need to service my bike, they let me go in and use their tools for free. As I am a poor, tool-less college student, this is extremely helpful. I've also found their prices to be very reasonable, especially since they have such a wide range of used parts that they sell for only a few dollars. While they aren't the best at customer service, every employee I've talked to is very knowledgeable and courteous. I'd highly recommend this shop if you know just a little bit about bikes and know what you are looking for

Come here before you go anywhere else! I can't praise the crew that works here enough. I felt that I was getting solid advice when picking out a bike. They also provide excellent follow-up on any after-purchase concerns. (A pedal broke a week after I purchased a used bike, and they replaced it right away, free of charge.) Definitely recommend.
