Fantastic shop and owner! Going here for all my 2 wheel needs. Just casually stopped in to check out stuff with my 6yr old son. He wanted a new bell and a kickstand for his new bike and the gentleman was kind enough to cut and install the kickstand for us, in like 5 min. A+ Experience and will be bringing my wife's bicycle here for some maintenance work. Thanks again for the help and service.

Fixed up my bike for a reasonable price and was able to find an older bicycle part and install it. Great, fast service. Would certainly recommend to others

It took patents but I'm very pleased with the finish wheel.
Caution, shop is very busy and you may have to wa it for your repair so get it in. early. Inventory of parts and accessories cover every inch of every wall.

Mr Bear is very helpful and this is great shop they have a large inventory typically don't have to order nothing He's pretty much got it there and if he don't he'll get it for you and help you the best you can he knows what he's talking about

Dave is one of the best and most experienced bike techs in the city. Turnaround can be slow, but it’s only because he takes great care and has built a reputation as a staple in the bike community. If you work on your own stuff he also has the most extensive set of retail bike tools and parts for sale.

The owner spent a week with us during our GOBA bike ride in Ohio. I saw him working so hard, giving his all to the riders so they could have a workable bike to ride to enjoy their vacations.

I give him credit for trying to work on my bike (change pedal) but due to rust, he was unable to remove it. Without even asking him, he offered to loan me HIS bike for the week!

Visit him when you are in the area. He does good job.

I brought my single speed build in because I needed some questions answered and I was a novice builder. I had the luck to have Steven help me. He was both knowledgeable, professional and very generous with his time. In the end, I didn’t even buy anything but felt like I had been treated as if I had just purchased a $2000 bike. Incredible customer care.

I was immediately helped in purchasing a new bike rack for my Outback. He was super helpful and ensured I got the exact rack I needed for my car. I will be back for my bike needs!!!

I've had the opportunity to work at several cycle shops in Columbus and I can say with absolute certainty that this is simply the best bike shop in Columbus. When I worked at a competing cycle shop we would send our customers here if we couldn't help. Baer has a very high quality inventory, with reasonable prices. In the cycling community it's almost universally agreed that Dave is the most knowledgeable person in the area. If you have something very rare, very old or very expensive this is the only shop you can take it. When other bike shops say "Well have to order that part", check with Dave as he usually has it in his inventory.

Awesome service, love the shop and how they run it. Dave is who helped my son and gave him a great price to have his bike fixed. Great store to go to I recommend everyone to go to this bike shop. And if your getting your bike fixed they are so chill and talk to u and try to make conversation. A 10/10 shop it is for me. Best shop in town

We have purchased 3 Jamis bikes from Baer Wheels in the past few months and I highly recommend them. Not only are the bikes great, but the service was outstanding! Dave took the time to personally fit me with the right bike, and he customized the seat and handlebars to the perfect angle for how I ride. They are very knowledgeable and can put you on a great new bike!

This is one of the best bike shops around. You have a broad selection of bikes and accessories backed by rock solid knowledge. Dave's attention to detail and the overwhelming number of people he supports can sometimes derail the timeliness of his service but the end result is well worth the wait. I bought a used bike on Craigslist and was excited to get riding right away. Unfortunately my bike wasn't shifting correctly and my own attempts failed. On a Saturday morning I called and described my issue and the mechanic told me to bring it in. I dropped off my bike and waited outside as the shop is allowing 5 customers at a time during safe social distancing. The shop was busy, the store was only staffed by one person, and I still got my bike serviced in just under 35 minutes. The mechanic showed me how to remedy my problem on my own in the future AND when I tried to schedule a tune up he told me it wasn't necessary because my bike was in great shape. After paying a very reasonable amount for his services he wished me happy riding and said "See ya next year." Excellent customer service! Thanks Baer Wheels!!

Great bike store with no bad options. Their stock it's fantastic, and the labor they do is top notch. Sometimes things can be slow, but in my experience not any slower than other places like Paradise Garage. Give Dave's store a try though. I dream about getting a custom bike from here and I see the builds his team does every time I walk in. Nice stuff!

This is a great place for upgrades, tune-ups, and walk-in repairs. Since I've never bought a new bike I can't comment on their service with new bikes except that when Baer's people talk, they take pride in standing behind the bikes they sell.

I just got done reading some of the negative reviews and have to comment that it's true the guys in this shop aren't warm and fuzzy and bubbly. They're dry and competent and they love bikes. It's a bike shop, and they're not sales people (they never fail to fix a bike and give good advice)

Great store. Great Service. I was building a bike and had problems with the bottom bracket and chain line. I told them to install the proper BB and to finish the setup. Turned out I had not pressed on the cranks firmly enough and that there was no need to install a new BB. Wow, They could have replaced it and I would have never known the difference. They did they honest thing and did a great setup as well for a very fair price. Baer Wheels is now my primary local bike shop.
