Indianola Informal K-8 School

Attended Indianola Elementary School (IES), in Columbus, Ohio, in the 2d half of 3d grade, & all of 4th & 5th grades, from Jan. 1955 to May 1957. Cannot recall the name of my teachers, but the 3d grade one was very firm & strict, but fair, about her students learning the subject matter she presented, & also stressed good manners & etiquette. Back then, we had a morning & afternoon recess period. We used to play tag in the recess yard until everyone playing was "It." We had so much fun at IES. Just looked at the pix of the school, & it still looks the same as it did back in the '50s.

I'm only saying this because it was my experience it does not have to be your experience but the teachers are great really are but my principal Ms. code is and she yelled at me for throwing away tissue
