Studio 35 Cinema & Drafthouse

Finally came here for the first time recently and I had a good experience, even though I didn't know there was the crew championship game going on and the bar was packed with avid fans which made service way slower and the fans were very loud (understandable it's an important game). BUT ASIDE FROM THAT the experience I had overall was still fantastic. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The craft beer selection was outstanding even having some rarer stuff on tap (they had weldwerks on when I was there), and the bourbon selection was pretty dang good as well. The food was fantastic, we got 2 pizzas (curd nerd and hot swarm) that we were very happy with, and I still think about them, delicious. Our movie was in the recliner room which was great because those seats were very comfy. Overall studio 35 is a fantastic small theatre, and I really look forward to coming back in the future (hopefully not during a major sporting event lol).

We came here on opening weekend of the Barbie movie and they really went all out for it- full on decorations, a custom Barbie drink menu, a Barbie box Photo Booth- it really added to the experience and fun of the show.

Aside from the special event, this place has a great set up- movies, a bar, and pizza with plenty of places to sit and eat and lounge with friends. The seats inside the theatre and super comfy, some chairs in the back even have tables to put food if you order pizza for the show, the prices for drinks and popcorn I thought were reasonable for a movie theatre, and it was air conditioned but not so much that I was freezing throughout the show.

After the show we got pizza and headed upstairs on the outdoor balcony which was a lot of fun. We got the Greek salad and the Swarm pizza which was a spicy pepperoni with a honey drizzle. The pizza was well balanced with spice and cooked well. They also had plenty of substitutions available so a vegan or vegetarian would be happy here as they have plant based meats and cheeses if you want those instead. Our food was made quickly- we waited maybe 15 minutes for it to arrive.

The last thing I’ll mention is the people working there seem to be having fun (many dressed up for the Barbie show) and they seemed to collaborate and enjoy working together. Overall a real fun place to watch a show. Will return!

This is the greatest movie theater around. Featuring a menu with vegan options, an incredible ambience, and features showings of cult classic cinema, not just the modern stuff. Movie themed beer tastings and cocktails - it's incredible.

They are also the hosts of The Fishnet Mafia - a phenomenally talented troupe of LGBTQA+ performers that will give you a night to remember for a very long time.

This place is great, we will be back to see more shows. Great beer selection and good pizza. The bartender even brought our pizza to us during the show.

Great way to keep an old historic movie theater relevant. Impressive selection of beers and great atmosphere inside. The chairs could stand to be a little taller so you can lean your head back but overall high quality experience watching for my first time at this place. Price was reasonable for a new release movie. Temperature was comfortable. They had snacks and popcorn available as well. Probably the biggest downside is trying to find parking. Overall really sweet retro theater.

If you have to move to Ohio, let this place be the reason you stay. Studio 35 is truly a one of a kind place, with a great selection of drinks, delicious pizza and snacks, and fun shows and events.

Went to the Taylor Swift Era's tour movie, and beer tasting and had a blast! Super fun MC, great beers, raffles, swag and more! I have also been just to eat here, as well as watch a regular movie and have always had an amazing time. The staff are super friendly, and the food/ movie prices are super reasonable.

This place is my favorite thing about Ohio, I would go every day if I could.

Love that they have pizza and brew. Renovations in the past few years have added a lot. Great place to hang out with friends or go on a date.

I cannot say enough about Studio 35! The vibe is perfect for Clintonville. It’s amazing to be able to get pizza or a salad plus popcorn and a cocktail and settle into one of the two theaters. The staff is warm and helpful - always efficient moving the line. There is a nice bar and seating if you want to come have food and drinks but you can also take everything into the movie.

We have attended movies as well as the U of M vs. OSU game at Studio 35 and have had a great time. They have a lot of fun special events and have themes drinks to correspond to the movies.

They have an annual popcorn bucket you can purchase for $50 and refill each time. And yes - you can just stop in and get a popcorn refill without attending a movie … I’ve done it!!

Whether you’re local or not, it’s worth the drive to see a movie and enjoy the experience at Studio 35.

A friend and I visited here for the first time as it had a showing for Diehard and it was wonderful. The beers are top notch and there are a plethora of offerings. The pizza is amazing and for the Portnoy fans I rated this pizza a 7.7. The pizza is brick oven, has a nice char, great undercarriage, slight crisp, zero flop, and good flavor. The theaters are comfortable with reclining seats. Highly recommend if even just for pizza.

Good place to hangout and have fun. The movie watching may not be an immersive experience compared to other movie chains. But the bar and service at the front were good. Surprisingly, they threw a free watch party of FIFA WWC 2023 final. I enjoyed it there. Good atmosphere. The bartender was so cool and kind. I would like to visit again.

What an evening out! My new favorite pizza, great bar atmosphere with old movies playing on screens all around, excellent service and great viewing experience. My personal formula: fibonacci's fig-a-ma-jig pizza, custom mocktail, whit's ice cream cookie sandwich and a late screening in the recliner room. All in one place!

The guys + staff running this place are awesome! They really commit to their patrons. I feel it’s a great value, great space, and an asset to Columbus. Keep on keeping on!

Went for the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I would like to go again for a movie or to eat. Thoroughly enjoyed the Rocky Horror Picture Show!

Absolutely loved this theater. The bartender was so great. We aren’t beer drinkers and the flights were a perfect option to try several beers. They offer four and six options. We let the bartender make the selection based on her recommendations. The pizzas were so delicious. You could eat in the bar or take the food into the theater. There were just the right amount of people to make a cozy experience. Be warned the place can get packed. It’s all about the timing of the movie’s release. Have fun either alone or with friends.

That was super fun! If you have only been to big movie theaters like AMC, you should experience the unique timeless feel of a smaller theatre like this! Super cozy in there. It brought me back to a dollar theatre I used to go to as a kid, but way better. Food looked really good, too.

I really enjoyed this place! From the moment I walked in I noticed all of the movie themed decor, Smiling employees, lots of beers on tap.
Also glorious smell of pizza wafting from stone fired pizza oven upstairs!

This place is simply awesome. Good food, beer, movies, and atmosphere. The seats are traditional butt very comfy. The pizza is to die for. You can even stop in just for a drink or some food. Highly recommended!
