What a great place for a hike! Beautiful scenery, lots of hills and valleys, wildlife, you name it, it has it. Several different trails to chose from, from short to long. We went on Labor Day and expected it to be packed but it wasn't. Just us and our 2 dogs.
This is not a 'free' hike. You will need to have a yearly pass, $30, or a one time payment of $5. Easy to do with the online payment.
The trails were marked, but you had to look for the markers. Not always easy to see and we did get off trail a couple of times, but nothing serious, just needed to pay more attention.
The dogs loved the walk as did we. One of our dogs was very happy there was lake access. She had to have a quick dip.
Overall, I highly recommend giving this a try. And if you have before, go back again. I know we will.

Perfect wedding venue! So thankful we booked Glacier Hills County Park for our wedding. We chose the weekend rental package so our family and friends could stay in the cabins on site. The hall and chapel were absolutely fantastic and the staff (Krystal) was so helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better venue and the park has the BEST photo spots for those wedding photos!

The trails were wide. I did the black trail loop. It was very buggy because of the lake which I expected. Saw deer and bunnies and lots of flowers. Beautiful trails.

Stunning views of autumn colors, some open space & off-leash areas for dogs just half hour from Milwaukee!

Wonderful trails. This park has a little bit of everything the Kettle Moraine offers.

We were just there for pictures prior to a wedding, so we didn't get to enjoy all the amenities. It seemed worthwhile to check out for other activities.

My all-time favorite of the Washington County parks! For a smaller park, there are numerous beautiful, winding hiking trails with quite varied terrain: forests of deciduous trees, lanes of pines, lakeshore views, hills, marshes... The sledding hill is always a hit with my kids... And there are even cabins and tiny homes available for rent and a chapel and large hall for weddings.

One note on the trails: with so many poorly-marked, intersecting, winding trails, it's next to impossible to stay on the correct path. So I have given up and am now prone to simply wander until I find my way back to the car. That would be my advice to any prospective hikers.

We were 100% satisfied with this wedding venue and our experience working with Krystal. The venue itself was beautiful with green trees and wild flowers. There was plenty of outdoor access (we rented tent for part of this space), a restored chapel onsite for ceremony, and an indoor venue hall for our reception. We even rented out the cabins and ranger house nearby to allow us to spend more time over the weekend with our wedding party and guests. We loved that we were able to rent out it out for the whole weekend--allows you to wait until the day after to clean-up if desired. We enjoyed the freedom of having the venue all to ourselves even if that meant we had to set-up and take-down on our own. Overall, we had SO many compliments on our venue and were very happy with choosing Glacier Hills!

Glacier Hills County Park was a fantastic venue for our wedding! The ability to have the space for the whole weekend was fantastic for a DIYer like me. I had plenty of time to set up everything to how I envisioned. We were even able to use the space for the rehearsal dinner and breakfast the next day! The Ranger House was a great option for us to use for the groomsmen to get ready and for some family members to stay in for the weekend.
The staff members I communicated with were all very helpful! Highly recommend this space!

Lots of variety in terrain. The kids love to run up and down the hills on the black trail. Can't wait to try some cross country skiing here this winter.

Awesome place to practice up and down trails. Black trail with weights prepared me very well for trip to grand canyon(hiked 3 trails there). Decent parking at left of entrance. New buildings going up for ????? Looks like overnight accommodations.

I have been going to this park for 45yrs, and have always enjoyed myself and now I share my place with my kids. Now with the new updates there is something for everyone, young and old. Glacier Hills is a must go to in the fall. The colors are just spectacular. Now there is a small park fee, but well worth it. 5 stars, come visit and vote for yourself. Hope to see you there!! .

Perfect hike for my husband, dog and me! Trails are clean and moderately difficult. Always plenty of parking and beautiful sights. We're from out of the county and still make great use of our annual pass.

How cool is this little park! The trails are hilly and great for a good hike. The signs/map are a little misleading but I've never been too lost. They have tons of well-maintained buildings too.

Beautiful hidden gem for a wedding at a very fair price compared to other wedding venues. The pine forest scenery is breathtaking and the hall is perfect for a reception.

Beautiful park in all seasons, but especially love hiking here in Fall. Nice trails and the lake near the park too. Trails are circular and not too long (about a mile) so the whole family can do it.
