North Star American Bistro

Stopped here on a whim for a steak. They were kind and made it for me even though I was an hour too early for dinner. Dessert was a tasty cheesecake 😋

We were celebrating 3 birthdays tonight…my Husband Tony, son Steven and son in-law Josh. The host was friendly when we arrived, the table was ready and our server Carol, attentive and friendly. Everyone had something different for dinner and each entree was tasty and delicious!

We are locals who absolutely love our Brookfield location! Great service, kind people and food that is delicious, reliable and accurately prepared. Super rare these days. Love!

Me and my better half both ordered burgers and fries. We came there for a late lunch and we’re very impressed. The service we got was outstanding and the food was delicious every bite of the burgers was a burst of flavor that’s all I can say we definitely plan to go back.

Wonderful dining experience. Delicious food. Very fair prices. Excellent atmosphere. Outstanding service. They got all right. Highly recommend.

We stopped there and had a real treat being new parents. We LOVE this restaurant and definitely will have another date here very soon! The food is spectacular!

Visited here for the first time with another family. Between the 8 of us, with drinks, it only cost around $20 a person for AMAZING food! The perch fry was the best around. Delicious Bourbon old fashioned also flavorful. Definitely will come here again during summer on the wonderful patio.

My husband and I had our small wedding reception at Northstar in September. The service was amazing!! Brittany was sure to make sure everything was just right for our reception. They took care of everything, even the set up! We were not disappointed. Their attention to detail was amazing. The food was delicious and the drinks were out of this world! Try their strawberry mojito. We received compliments from our gets for weeks to come. The staff at Northstar were very attentive and we can see their happiness and excitement for us! Not only was it a special night for us because it was our wedding, but Northstar went above and beyond to make it the fairy tail I’ve always dreamed of! Thank you Northstar!

Will be going there later this week for an after funeral brunch, so I will have to update this review then. But the main reason that I am posting this now is to let the owners know that someone must have hacked their website. When I tried to access it, my browser stopped me and said the site was compromised. You may want to take care of that as some people don't have strong security on their devices.

UPDATE: 9/26/2023

After visiting this restaurant after the funeral I attended, I found it to be great, despite the somber day that it was for our family. My cousins had reserved the back room for our luncheon. I have a special diet and they were very accommodating in making sure my lunch was made to order. Our waitress was very nice and down to earth. What I loved the most was their coffee. It was excellent! I even asked our waitress what it was called and she gave me all the info. I will be purchasing some of that from the manufacturer as I really enjoyed it. For anyone interested in that, the coffee brand name is Torke Coffee.

Again, that day was a very sad day for my family, but the restaurant was modern, extremely clean and all staff wore matching uniforms. The food was very good and made to order and again, the coffee was wonderful. They also served alcohol, but I don't drink, so I can't comment on that.

Again however, I implore them to fix their website. It is not safe for people to visit.

Stopped in Saturday with family for lunch. We had the special blackened salmon. Very tasty.

I was part of a group of 12 people that had dinner at North Star on a Saturday night. Service was great and the food was outstanding!

Very well thought out and executed comfort food. Prices are very fair, service was very good, I'll be back! My daughter also really enjoyed herself, there is a discernable degree of care in their offerings. How often do you find a kids buttered noodles using good parm and AL dente noodles?

We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and our daughter’s birthday and the dinner was perfect!! We had 10 people for dinner and there were no problems with service. The staff was fantastic and the food was very good! Everyone loved the dinner. The food never disappoints.

Nice with table clothes, but not pretentious. The food is great! My favorite is the sesame tuna with grilled bok choy. My girlfriend likes the North Star cheeseburger with cheddar. A good variety of offerings and a nice wine list. Bar is good, too. Servers are always friendly. It's close to our home and we come here pretty regularly. A go-to for us in Brookfield.

Incredible food, atmosphere and service for a 90th Birthday for my parents!

Had another wonderful meal at Northstar tonight with friends. GREAT as always. Merry Christmas to you and the staff!!!!

Had a lunch meeting, four people.
Courteous staff, white table cloth ambiance. Surprisingly inexpensive.
Three of use had salad, one a sandwich. All delightful.

We purchased the curbside Easter Dinner and were increadibly happy with it! Quarantine holidays aren't ideal but having some great traditional food made it a bit better! They had the food ready on time and were very freindly.

They were able to seat our group of 20+ with less than 24 hour notice. Our waiter, Noah, was funny and so professional. He wasn’t flustered at all with multiple orders and a few fussy eaters. The delicious food was delivered hot and in a timely manner.
We had a lot of family in town for a funeral. Many of our plans were spontaneous depending on who was around. Their employee, Chad, was so helpful with the reservation. He didn’t look a bit concerned even after I added a couple of unexpected guests to our group.
I can’t wait to return and sample more of the menu.
