The Oak Barrel

We went on a very busy Saturday night and had anticipated a long wait time. However as packed as it was, they told us a 50 min wait, but has our table ready after only 20. The atmosphere was fantastic and very cozy. The service was great and very fast, especially with how full the place was. She was very attentive and was always just 30 seconds away whenever we needed anything. We ordered the duck fat popcorn (simply amazing) and chicken wings and both were incredible. Our mains were the pulled pork over jalapeño corn bread and the 1/2 rack of ribs. Everything was spot on And perfectly presented. Highly recommend ans we will be back soon! What a great place!

Before my flight to California, I was craving an old fashioned cocktail and decided to visit The Oak Barrel. The bartender did a great job crafting the drink from scratch, using premium spirits and bitters. I also ordered 'The Berry & Arugula' Salad, which was fresh and flavorful, and their delicious 'Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée', which had a perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess. The atmosphere at Oak Barrel was upscale and inviting, great spot for enjoying good American food and handcrafted cocktails.

This was a great find! The atmosphere was amazing and the food was delicious.
The duck fat popcorn, bbq pork and dr.pepper braised pork shank were all fantastic.
We brought a small child and the wait staff was very accommodating. The food was brought get out in a timely manner and everything went smoothly.

First time eating here, and it will not be our last. Excellent BBQ! Our waitress Stacy was wonderful and was extremely helpful, giving us information about all of the items listed on the menu and giving excellent recommendations. We ordered the opened faced pulled pork sandwich which was fabulous, the full rack of ribs, which were fall of the bone, tender, juicy, delicious goodness and the Italian pizza, and house salad, which were also excellent. All the food was presented very well, served nice and hot, and very large portions. We finished with desserts to go since we were so full. The cheesecake and flourless chocolate cake were amazing. We arrived before 5 on a Friday before it got busy, and by the time we left, there were people waiting to be seated, and the place was packed.

Great service food and atmosphere. Had the Fish & Chips, was great, and the wife had the Cuban sandwich 🥪 she said it was very good. Washed everything down with Great Lakes Christmas Ale 🍺 😁

Ordered the bacon wrapped beef tenderloin and swapped the blue cheese whipped potatoes for garlic whipped potatoes. Also ordered a sangria. The flavors were spot on! The tenderloin was very flavorful and tender! Sangria was also very good!

I’ll start with.. WOW!! This is definitely a MUST! To begin our server, Victoria, was absolutely outstanding. From the start she greeted our groups of 8 with a smile and accommodated us outside as we wanted. She was attentive throughout our lunch and made the experience outstanding. We had been driving from Pennsylvania, to Niagara Falls, Canada to Cleveland. In that week I have to say this was the best food and service we received.

My husband ordered the pizza which was fresh and delicious, my daughter the grilled chicken which was juicy and delicious, my other daughter ordered the kids burger which she loved. We also ordered the Brie plate which was out of this world. I wish I had taken pictures of the desserts, the crème brûlée I have to say was the best I had ever had. And the brownie with ice cream, you can not not ordered it! Would definitely love to come back. Now we go back to Miami… thank you for the great time.

Friendly staff and all the food was cooked wonderfully. The duck fat wings were the standout for me and planning on going back and getting more.

Gorgeous restaurant! With a fireplace in the middle, it was PERFECT for a cold winter day. The food was delicious, and the selection was good. They have some unique selections. The food was definitely more up class. It might sound silly, but I was surprised they didn't have a "kid friendly" cheese for their burgers. They could cook to order. It was a tad bit pricey, but it was worth a try.

The braised pork shank is absolutely amazing!! Everything was delicious! My creme brulee was the best I've had in years... No photo but it was a bit of heaven!

The server was fast and courteous. The food selections were excellent. Old Barrel burger and Herb Crusted Chicken salad were delightful. Desserts were to die for.

We needed a place for a group dinner (9 people) and this was a good choice. Most tables were full (6PM Tue) but we got seated in a few minutes.

We ordered several apps - Baked Bavarian Pretzel, Amish Chicken Wings, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Onion Rings, and Crisp Calamari. All were tasty and eaten quickly!

For our mains we had the Oak Barrel Burger, The Cuban, Canadian Walleye Po’boy, Yucatan BBQ Pork, Amish Chicken and Waffles, Bacon-Wrapped Beef Tenderloin, Woodstone Roasted Icelandic Cod, Open-Faced Pulled Pork BBQ, and Baby Back Ribs. Like the apps, all were polished off quickly leaving no room for dessert. (they were also a good portion).

The employees were attentive - looking forward to our next trip so we can eat here again.!

Came here with friends to celebrate the beginning of 2023. Very nice place. A little bit noisy, but we had 10+ people, so that actually was good for us so we can talk to each other without being disturbing to other tables. The best part was the food. Dr Pepper Braised Pork Shank was very delicious. Don't remember enjoying such a good restaurant dish in the last 6 months at least. Definitely recommend if you like pork and mashed potato dishes. Little bit spicy, just as I like.

I recently hosted four different business meetings/dinners at this location. They were very accommodating for our large groups between 10-15 people. Each time we were there the staff was attentive, friendly and quick. We never had a long wait for our food and it was just an overall pleasant experience. We had the opportunity to try many items on the menu. A few that stood out for sure were the truffle fries, eggplant rollatini and brie on the appetizer menu. A must try is the the creamy polenta as a side. My team wasn't a huge fan of the taco's, but everything else on the menu was delicious. If you are looking for a central Cleveland location to host a business or company dinner, this is a great option.

Our sales team stopped here for lunch and it was very good. My lamb burger was extremely tasty, and prepared perfectly ... Fries were very good too. The service was good. They have a good beer selection and a great whiskey and bourbon selection.

Stopped here before going to the Cuyahoga Valley train ride. The place is nice, clean and spacious. The food was good. At first I thought they might be a little pricey, but once I got my food I saw why. They give you enormous portions!! I got the chicken and sausage. You literally get half a chicken. It was good too. But the sausage was the highlight of the meal. It had just the right amount of spice to it. I would go again just for that haha.

I love everything about this restaurant, from the wood-fired aroma to the rustic decor. The food is phenomenal. I'm always torn between the large salads and the scrumptious tacos.

The server was very friendly and attentive. The food was well prepared and tasty. We had a Chile with us and they ordered the chicken tenders with fries and were very happy with it. I had the ahi tuna tacos and they were excellent. He had a burger and fries and loved it. We have been here several times. It is very loud inside the restaurant though.

We loved it here! First off, the service was fantastic! Our server Stacy was wonderful. She was very friendly, gave us plenty of recommendations, checked up on us frequently, and even gave us information on specials they have throughout the week. The food was delicious. I had the pulled pork and my friend had the kefta burger. We were both very happy with how everything looked and tasted. They have a very nice drink menu and all the food options were unique and sounded amazing! The atmosphere was nice, very open with lots of options for seating. Everything from the staff to the food was great. We will definitely be back again!

Hannah was seriously one of the best servers I've ever had. Her coworker, Gerard, suggested the Mac and cheese and pulled porked. We were beyond satisfied with the experience, and will definitely be back. Can't recommend this place enough
