Moe's Original BBQ - Newark

Excellent BBQ especially for central Ohio standards! Easily the best BBQ I’ve had in that portion of the state. Staff was friendly and very prompt in getting the food out very quickly after ordering. We visited friends we hadn’t seen in a long time and despite it being during the lunch rush, the atmosphere wasn’t overwhelming in terms of noise and allowed for conversation.

The food, atmosphere, and service were great. We had the brisket platter with macaroni and cheese, and white bean chili. Also the half smoked chicken with baked beans and collard greens. The wait was short and the food was plentiful. Don't get me wrong I like a good pizza and am certainly not anti-burger, but Moe's offers a different experience and cuisine all together.

Food was AMAZING (like always). They literally have the best wings ever.

Atmosphere and decor is perfect. Love this place, will continue to go here.

Better than I expected. Every state thinks they have the best BBQ. Someone told me they just say it’s Alabama BBQ here at Moe’s.

We had ribs and wings and several sides. All of it was delicious. The wings were exceptional. The cornbread is great. Everything seems to have a perfect blend of sweet and spice.

I particularly appreciate that the slaw is a vinegar based recipe and not mayonnaise (because mayo is nasty).

The vibe is cool. The service was great - very quick and friendly.

I’d definitely come back. Highly recommend!

We were here for a quick bite and business meeting. Unfortunately, they were out of ribs but all the food we ordered were delicious! We got pulled pork sandwich, wings, and fried catfish sandwich along with their mac and cheese, Cole slaw, and beans. Honestly, there wasn't anything we didn't like! Price was decent and expected for a BBQ joint. Portions were good.
Customer service was superb! We were helped by Crissy and our table had a wonderful conversation with her about the area which we were very thankful for bc we are new here. She cleaned up after us and let us enjoy our time there.
Bathrooms were clean and to the side so no awkward walk throughs around the restaurant and around employees.
The decor was absolutely amazing and gorgeous! The work that went into the tables and the ceiling is astounding. Respect to the people who did them! The pictures simply do not do them justice.
We were impressed, for sure. We will be back and forth to the area so we know we will be back again for the experience.

I had Moe's cater my wedding. We are extremely thankful for you and everyone there! The food was amazing and the service was top notch! We had a veggie tray, fruit tray and a cocktail with Bacon and Bourbon ( the bacon was from Moe's and was gone almost instantly. VERY GOOD). For dinner we had pulled pork, salad, mac and beans. Moe's is the best!! GREAT FOOD!

1st time here. Seems like a nice place. Definitely some cool decor in the building. We just went in for cocktails but did sample a side of potato salad, which was really good.

We will be back when we have time to check out more of the menu. They also serve Sunday brunch here with different menu items.

A few months ago, I was in the area for work and happened to stop in for lunch. I've only been a couple times now because I am not typically in Newark, but everything I've had has been so delicious I decided this is now my go-to place whenever I am in town. The price is more than I typically like to spend on lunch but honestly no regrets.

Awesome service and food! Our party had the pulled pork, fried shrimp, and smoked wings...all are amazing! If you're in Newark or even passing through, come hungry! Moe's got you!

Today I ate the special, a Turkey Club. I unwrapped it. No mess, no sliding around in between the bun because it's too wet, just a well made club sandwich with bacon between two toasted buns. And then I bit into and laughed because it was so good. The saltiness of the bacon against the lettuce and tomato reminded me of my childhood and how a Wendy's Jr. Bacon used to taste, except better. Well done Moe's. Thanks for lunch today.

The food was amazing, we were looking for something yummy on a gloomy rainy Saturday and Moe's hit the spot. The pulled pork was delicious as well as the marinated coleslaw and the collard greens were excellent. I would highly recommend it.

The owners and staff are amazing! Excellent service, delicious food, and a great selection of cocktails and beer. We had pulled pork nachos that were served fresh and lightning fast.

You can tell the people working there take pride in their work and treat guests and each other like family. Highly recommend! We had a great conversation with Kara (unsure if I spelled that correctly) and very much enjoyed our experience there.

The group that runs this store is incredible - we’re from TN and eat a ton of BBQ, have traveled to a lot of different well known places, and Moe’s is one of the best we’ve had. Our friend puts on a huge festival each year and we’re extremely happy and excited to have a place like this 20 mins away where we stay. Can’t wait to come back.

Me and my wife stopped here today for the first time. Never even knew this place was there we were just driving by and decided to stop. And WOW this place is amazing the service was excellent and so was the food it wasn’t over priced either. We will gladly make that trip out to Newark for the service and food again.

If I could give a 10 star review I would. It is always a 10 star experience going into Moes…today especially with them going so above and beyond to provide an amazing experience. Thank you to the entire Moes staff for always being so friendly, welcoming and providing awesome food and service every time we go in.

What can I say, Moe’s is a must if you are downtown Newark, their pulled pork or smoked chicken. . . (Insert drooling emoji) is a show stopper!!
I went with the wings this trip only because I’ve heard amazing things about them as well and I was very happy!
The banana pudding. . . Lordy . . . it’s goooood!
I got the side of chicken salad (top right) and it was enjoyable, it had sliced grapes in it which was a surprise but good surprise.
All I can say is try it, you’ll be back!

Look forward to stopping here for a couple months and I wasn't disappointed one bit. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was welcoming.

Excellent smoked barbecue. My spouse got the smoked turkey with the vinegar based slaw and loved it. I got the chicken wings (not breaded thank goodness) and deep fried nice and crispy. Very meaty wings. I also got the French fries and baked apples both excellent. The corn bread was also very good. Service was excellent and our food was ready within 10 minutes. Best smoked flavor barbecue I have had period in central Ohio. Give them a try. Great people and great barbecue and homemade sides. Will definitely be back.
