Pat's Endangered Species

My husband, two small children and I have been here multiple times. I love this store. Always a great selection and I never go home empty handed. Pat was so helpful ordering me a record he didn’t currently have on hand & I can not wait to go pick it up. This has easily became a favorite weekend trip for us and don’t mind the 40 min drive to see them and pick up some of our favorite music.

One of my favorite places to shop! Environment is cool and you never know what record you’ll come across. Reasonably priced records. They also buy back records for a good deal. Worth checking out! The owner is nice to talk to especially when it’s about the music you’re buying.

If you need the ultimate musical history lesson....Pat is like an anthology of knowledge. The store is packed full of amazing vinyl records and cds. I picked up so many great albums and we chatted about Motown, Classic Rock and I learned more in that hour than I've learned from all those years memorizing those Time Life 1959 through 1979 books! I'll be back!

An amazing record store .. I found 11 records in the dollar bin. Not sure where the comments came from of the owner being rude ??? I was greeted promptly and asked if there was anything he could help me find .. I was looking for some hard to find stuff .. he knew the albums immediately.. said those are amazing but I don’t have them . This store is extremely well organized .. the owner was a delight .. friendly and knowledgeable . The records are in great condition . I will be back and I highly recommend this small business. The tabby cat is an extra added bonus .. friendly and adorable . When in Delaware this place is not to be missed !

I received the same cd from two of my kids. One mentioned his good experience buying it from here. When I returned one it wasn't wrapped like others in his store but he exchanged it no problems. After that we browsed more and purchased 5 more cds. Great customer service!

I found everything I was looking for. Old vinyl, new vinyl, cd's. The man at the desk/checkout is like a walking encyclopedia of rock and roll and jazz. Great fun! Worth the hour's drive and I'll be back.

Good mix of albums at decent prices. Some cross merchandising with hoodies, incense, DVDs, and posters. The attendant didn't bother us by trying to push merchandise or being fake friendly which is often a big problem at stores like this. Bonus: Cute cat!

Cool store with a pretty decent selection. The hip hop and metal sections need more but what they had were great and a really good CD selection. The young lady working the front register on 2/15/23 around 2pm was easily one of the nicest people I have met in a record store in a long time. Give that woman a raise!

Great selection of records (and CDs)! This store definitely puts a lot of thought into their collection and highlights their favorite picks. Very fair prices compared to other record shops I've been to, and a good selection of new albums too. They're happy to order in any albums you want that they don't have in stock. The incense they burn can be a little strong, but that's a small price to pay for such a good local record shop! Definitely recommend!

Not from around here so I'm fortunate to have stumbled upon this gem. Found some nice additions to my cassette collection here and the prices are great.

Finally made it in to this shop after wanting to find it for over a year, I'm just never in Delaware. Huge selection of vinyl both vintage and freshly pressed. CDs, cassettes, and some music ephemera (t-shirts, buttons, etc.). Great stock I need to go back when I have more time and can look at everything, but got a few things I haven't been able to find elsewhere. Friendly and helpful owner. Gary the cat was very chill. Will absolutely be back.

Such a cool store for vinyl records. Owner is a great resource. Was great to hear music playing as we walked along downtown. Such a cool vibe.

This is such an amazing place. You can get some incredible music for a very reasonable price. The owner is hands down one of the best. If you like all kinds of music, make sure to check this place out.

I've been buying music from Pat's since the '80s. As far as I'm concerned,Pat's Endangered Species is the ONLY place to shop. If he doesn't have what you're looking for,chances are he can order it for you. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I sold some albums and cd's and got what I thought was a good price. I'm glad that they are able to get them another good home. They also have a nice cat roaming the store. It's a nice place to find a piece of music history.

What a great space. Eclectic selection with enough to satisfy nearly anyone's tastes. Friendly staff (and cat), too. Highly recommend!

In business for over 40 years, Pat has an excellent selection of new and used CD's and vinyl albums. And if he doesn't have it, he can find it and order it for you. He also has used cassettes, 45 RPM records and DVDs. Not to mention his practically limitless knowledge of popular music!

Great shop with a pretty good size selection of records spanning across tons of genres! Prices are fair too, comparable to Amazon pricing for brand new records.
