The Greater Gouda

Cute little store with a lot of items that are great for parties. Some can be bought for a lower price at grocery shops. What is great is the large selection of cheese to choose from. The owners are very friendly and you can sample cheese. Both times I stopped by, I left the shop with a chunk of cheese that satisfied my taste buds . If you are around the area, stop by here !

We got married at my parent's house in November and Greater Gouda set up a spread for after the ceremony. It was so beautiful and delicious! In fact, it looked so tempting, the 3 year old flower girls got distracted by it as they started to go down the aisle and had to be refocused to their petal tossing duties with the promise of cheese and crackers when the ceremony was done.

They did a charcuterie for our party that was just amazing. Everyone raved about it. The food was great and the service even better. Can't beat the value for the money. We also frequent the shop for all our cheese and wine purchases. They are always pleasant and make us feel valued as customers. I cannot say enough good things about this establishment.

Wow, what a find! They have subs truly delectable charcuterie and cheese, not to mention their wines. They happen to carry over at sub-$10 that's a real treat (always love finding something special below $40).

Love this store. We buy whole milk and many varieties of cheeses. Great and friendly service Awesome!

Great help, well priced wine and cheese selection. And the staff will whip out the Lazer pointer and guide you to the perfect wine for the evening.

Great staff, selection and prices! Josh helped us pick out our selection of meat and cheeses for our open house. He delivered an hour prior and set the tray up for us and then came back the next morning to pick up the boards that we used. Our meat and cheese tray was amazing! We will definitely use them in the future!

These masterful creations are not only beautifully presented but are delicious. Thanks to Terri and her crew for helping me with my family’s Easter party.

A wonderful little market in downtown Delaware. They have some delicious dairy free cheese that I’m wanting more of as I’m writing this. All their cheeses are great and go well on a sandwich or to just eat as a snack. They have a cool collection of other food and items. Great spot to just shop and/or find a gift. I’ve gotten many birthday gifts here. You can’t go wrong!

The owner is extremely friendly and very knowledgeable and passionate about all of the products he sells a s especially the cheese. If you tell him what types of cheeses you like or want you want to cook, he will be more than happy to steer you in the right direction with excellent advise and maybe even give a sample or two.

I highly recommend going here for all of your cheese needs.

My family absolutely loves and adores this shop! The deli section is well curated and the shop is packed delightfully with wonderful gifts and so much more. Stop in and spend your time looking through every inch of this store. Christmas must stop! Thank you for bringing this to fruition. Just for reference... we drive 50 minutes one way to get there, and it's well worth it.

Fantastic selection of meats, cheeses, and gourmet items. Deli counter has a wide selection - from affordable 'every-day' deli meats to gourmet meats and cheeses - so there is something for everyone! Wonderful, no-pressure, service every time I've been in. Highly recommend!

Really great cheese and wine selection plus a deli counter and gift shop. They had an actual artisan jack style cheese from one of the only two places left making it in the world. Staff was also very knowledgeable and friendly.

Great selection of cheese and lunch, meats, bacon, and a lot of your grocery needs. They carry Jeni’s ice cream and if you were an old fashion fan, they carry several different mixes for your favorite drink.

We aren't huge wine drinkers but we like the health benefits of doing so (and the taste). Stopped in to get a bottle and some cheese for Valentine's Day. The folks working were extremely nice and helped me find a nice pick. Made me feel comfortable even though I had minimal knowledge about wine. Plus they have such a great selection of all types of food, wine, treats and knick knacks. Will definitely visit again.

The cheese and salami are excellent. You are encouraged to taste items before purchasing. If you're looking for that special cheese for a charcuterie board or a blue for your steak, this is the place.

Daughter and I stopped in today as we were in downtown DELAWARE for another appointment. Charming little store front with lots of charcuterie novelties and a HUGE selection of cheeses (hence, the name). Owner was both knowledgeable and friendly & offered some samples of a few unique (at least to us) cheeses. Will definitely be back for more on our next visit!

The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The goods are great! I love having this shop so close, and I try to pop in at least once a month for my cheese fix.

Our favorite place in town!! The best selections of cheeses, meat, and everything you would need in between! They even started carrying a lot more stuff during the pandemic that you couldn't get at the big grocery stores and I was so thankful for that. They have the friendliest staff, and will even make you a cheese board or sandwiches for your events! Can't wait for their new sandwich shop!!!
