This place is very welcoming, the vet techs are amazing as well as the lady at the front desk. They were informative about my new puppy eddy. She gave me so much information on how to take care of him. The vet was super sweet as well, she made sure Eddy was comfortable while doing his first vaccination. I highly recommend them!

Very peaceful setting, and very friendly staff. I have a very reactive dog, but every time we visit they make it a good experience for him AND me!

Entire staff was very professional and receptive to Sammie, I am very pleased and would recommend Hillcrest Animal Hospital to any pet owner. They truly take an interest in your pet and make sure all questions are answered and that you feel comfortable.

Update: Hillcrest Animal Hospital is helping stop the spread of the Coronavirus by coming out to your car to take your pet in for care while you wait, then bringing them out when finished. You get a call from the Vet whose taking care of your pet to discuss treatment options and costs ahead of time so you will know what will be done and how much it will cost. Best of all, there is typically a very short (< 5 minutes) wait once you notify them that you've arrived, so they obviously don't overbook appointments. All in all, a painless experience.

I've started taking my senior cat Oskar and my senior dog Bogart here. The doctors and staff at Hillcrest Animal Hospital are all terrific. They are very friendly, knowledgeable, thorough, and obviously love animals a lot. Your pet will love it.

The best vet office I have ever had. We travel almost an hr for our dogs because of the care they receive. Every staff member is polite and TRULY cares!

Very kind and good at what they do. Been my vet since back on this side of town. Just did surgery on both my dogs on the same day and they are up and playing in under 24 hours. All the staff are nice and Dr. Hanzel does good work.

We have been coming here for so many years and so many family members it hard to keep track. Are pets are part of us and you don’t trust them to just anyone and that’s why we have been coming back for over 25 years.

Staff are all friendly, cheereful ,professional and knowledgle. They go out of their way to accommodate every request. The care rendered is excellent. Very competent Vets and Techs. They always give our 2 dogs the best of care.

Highly recommend Hillcrest Animal Hospital. They are very caring, they listen to our concerns, and give thorough exams! Additionally, it's nice that they have a 'sister' hospital (Animal Hospital in Willoughby Hills), which gives more availability for appointments + additional services.

I have been bringing pets to the location since I was a child! The staff is knowledgeable and kind. Dr. Barnheizer and her techs makes you feel like you and your pet matter!

My dog, Warren, and I were taken to an exam room promptly after we arrived. Warren wears a muzzle for vet visits and I felt like all the staff and the vet made us feel very comfortable and were very willing to work with Warren, who is afraid of vet visits. This was our first time at this office after relocating to Ohio and they had reviewed all of my Warren's records that I uploaded before our visit. We felt very comfortable there and I am so glad we had such a positive experience, especially since vet visits are a challenge for Warren in general.

I’ve had very good experiences with this vet. I have a reactive Doberman and they’ve been very mindful of his needs to make him comfortable. Also, their prices are just slightly lower than my previous two vets. Having spent a good deal on vet bills, they have never been pushy about spending more than what was reasonable, nor have they ever given me grief over getting more generic prescriptions from a retail pharmacy—even if that does mean less money for them.

I did not realize that Animal Hospital in Willoughby had this facility as a part of their practice. I had a great experience here. They were able to fit my dog in to be treated the same day I called. He was really sick and contagious and they were as concerned about making sure he did not share his germs with other animals as they were about making him feel better. They reviewed the charges before treating him. He received excellent care and is already showing improvement. The staff was very friendly and kind, the facility is clean, has ample parking and a nice big area to walk your dog outside while waiting to be seen. I most definitely would recommend this facility.

Dr. Hanzel has always provided wonderful care to our cats and just makes me feel calmer when they are sick. Everyone at Hillcrest is friendly and I feel like our cats are in very good hands while they are there!

Awesome customer care and safe service! They are very thorough here and explain pricing and procedures in depth! They will be my dogs vet for life! I highly recommend them! Just had another wonderful, thorough and professional experience with everyone here at this office my dog had an ear infection they explained everything thoroughly with the pricing in writing before they did anything else! also on a side note for the lady(sharon h) that's in that other review about them cancelling her appointment she probably didn't check her voicemail like people do at my job because I work in a doctor's office so I think that her comment with the low stars was not fair, given she didn't even get there to get treatment for her animals ( she had another bad review too, so there is probably no pleasing her smh!) people like that don't typically work with the public and they don't understand ! they have a right to cancel appointments if something happens on their end. They are human beings like us too, it happens ( also these reviews have a huge impact on people's lives and businesses, so people should be mindful before they post something, especially negative comments)))! But I really really love this place I've had a lot of dogs over my life span and I feel comfortable going here!!

Recently moved to the area and needed to find a new vet. I’m very picky about who treats my fur babies and loved my old vet whom I went to for many years. Decided to try Hillcrest with the thought in mind that I could always change if I wasn’t satisfied. Turned out to be a wonderful experience. Staff is very friendly, the techs are kind and knowledgeable and the Dr was amazing. She came in, sat on the floor and played with my puppy while she examined her and answered all my questions. I was very impressed with both her knowledge and technique in dealing with a rambunctious chocolate lab puppy. Highly recommend Hillcrest animal hospital!

The staff at Hillcrest are always so friendly and knowledgeable. I use both this facility and the other location on 91. Dr Megan Barnhizer truly cares about my pets and their well being. The appointments are normally on schedule and the facility is small but clean and functional. Highly Recommend
