Deer Haven Park

This was my first time at Deer Haven Park. Did not get to check it all out. I do have to say it is absolutely relaxing and if you need nature on a beautiful day this is the place. Also God blessed me with a new friend and she touched my heart more than she could ever know. Amazing! God will see to it that she makes it through her battles to live out her dreams and desires. I promise xoxo

Had a wonderful time here today at Deer Haven Park. My daughter and son-in-law bring my grandchildren here often and walk the trails. They have a Visitor Center with restrooms inside, live reptiles to see, comfortable chairs to watch the birds, squirrels, raccoons, etc outside the large windows. A library with lots of books on wildlife. Trails to walk through the woods, and picnic tables. We had a marvelous day here!

First time here and it's a great park! Lots to see, with a variety of paths. There is a nature center, but it was closed when we went. This park seems like it'd be great for running on the trails. We'll be back!

One of Delaware County's Preservation Parks, Deer Haven is a bird preservation, butterfly garden and refuge, full of wildlife, turtles and frogs, emerald ash borers, squirrels and chipmunks. The delightful bird songs fill the air to the tops of old growth trees. Beautiful natural surroundings, hiking trails that lead to discoveries of nature.

Beautiful park, awesome and informative. Kiddo friendly, clean bathrooms, very nice trails!

Beautiful park. Nice nature center, clean restrooms. Some trails available for pets & some for no pets; it’s win/win for those with and without dogs. Area feels very private and safe. Great fun to view all the frogs by the bridge in the marsh area. My all time favorite spot is the area with the quotes stamped into the stones, uphill from the place where the trail crosses the riverbed. So romantic!

Exotic birds? Yes!! Did not expect this to be in the smack dab of Delaware Ohio but it is!! Go check it out!! Give a donation out and help theE fine folks out. Love you 🤟!!

Love this park. The trails are well kept and it has a lot of parking and a great nature center. There is a duck/pond viewing box off one of the trails and is really nice!

Trails nice and well kept. Good parking. Bathroom handy. Wildlife. Map shows trail options and distances. Overall nice little park.

Great park. Good hiking for kids and adults alike. My 2 & almost 5 year olds love the preservation park preschoolers programs.

This place was an amazing short adventure. The paths are so wide an luxurious, great for kids or individuals who don't want to walk very far.

Lots of trails very beautiful and peaceful

Wow, it's a wonderful park, winter or summer... Outside, you will find wonderful trails to walk. For seniors, the terrain is much easier than Highbanks Metro Park. They also rotate in outdoor enclosure birds that, due to injuries, can no longer live in the wild. Inside, they have aquariums and terrariums with turtles, snakes, and salamanders, which my grandkids love. In the summer, kids can wet their feet in the creeks... Do not miss this wonder park.

Thank you Casey for giving us the tour. We had fun seeing all the different animals. The staff were very kind and answered all our questions. We enjoyed our visit and would like to come back again.

The trails are clean, kept and full of beautiful flowers, berries and wildlife. Great for all ages. Clean restrooms and friendly staff. Highly reccomend this precious gem in the neighborhood. Thank you.

Nice little park and nature center building. My favorite event was when they had a movie in the park showing Jaws after sun set, I think this event was pre-covid. Before the movie started they had the Newport Aquarium bring a mini salt water tank for a pet-a-shark set up. Pretty cool that they had a theme to a movie night like that 🦈

Trails are well maintained, the visitor's center is fantastic, and the classes they offer are really great. I loved the history, displays, and reptile room in the visitor center! So fun!
