R and M Bakery

We’ve been visiting R&M for years but got our first birthday cake this weekend for our daughter’s birthday. IT WAS A HIT!!! It was so fluffy, moist, delicious. We won’t go anywhere else for cake now! Their iced sugar cookies and donuts are also fantastic.

Not only did this cake look fantastic, it tasted even better. My daughter said it was the best cake she's ever had. Thanks Sam and Kristi for the exceptional cake!

I have been visiting this bakery for over 50 years. Different owners but same great taste and quality. Fair pricing and friendly staff makes this a great choice. Visit them soon and help our neighborhood business thrive!

They always have a good selection of pastries and cookies. I stop in regularly, though I no longer live in Newark. Prices are fair, and I especially love their chop suey rolls.

I had never heard of this bakery until a coworker brought in donuts to work one day...and, WOW. It tastes like chocolate covered strawberries. The icing isn't any plain icing, but a subtle strawberry icing! These are the lightest, fluffy, freshest donuts I think I have ever had and I've had some great ones in NYC. It had a chocolate drizzle and looked so cute. I instantly had to look up where this bakery was because it's so good!

I had a great time laughing with three of the girls while picking out my goodies for a couple get togethers. Everyone loved everything we brought to share. Lots of good comments about how good they were.

Claimed to be the oldest bakery in Newark, this shop has one of the greatest pastries you ever had.
Check out the giant donuts. They are delicious and the prices are even lower than the big chains.

R & M has the best donuts I have ever had in my life. I drive 45min from my home to get these delicious bites of heaven for the special birthdays and holidays, and just because. 😉 I hope they will stay around for generations to come.

After living locally for 3 years I finally stopped ordered a couple dozen for a party and we were NOT disappointed! Donuts are probably my favorite dessert...the Long John's, chocolate & vanilla iced with sprinkles, glazed, peanut butter & chocolate iced...ALL DELICIOUS. Fluffy, but more dense than a Krispy Kreme the perfect amount of sweetness. I didn't feel sick of it halfway through. Highly recommend you stopping in to visit this 30+ year bakery. My order was ready and waiting for me when l arrived, great service!

Best cookies in town if you are looking for the classic cut out cookies

This past summer they had these strawberry shortcake sandwiches I fell in love with. They have the only cutout cookies in town.

Wasn't expecting the prices to be so good. Quality is out of this world. Love this little bakery. ❤

As our wedding dessert, we had 6 dozen R and M bakery donuts made and they did not disappointment. Our guests fell in love with R and M just as much as we have loved them over the years. I am a firm believer of supporting your local businesses. Whether its a normal day or a special day, R and M bakery donuts take it all the way!

Went here for the first time yesterday and everything I bought was yummy! The turnovers didn't have a lot of filling but still yummy! I owned a bakery myself and have been baking for 20 years. You can still by looking at the products that they are freshly made. I will comeback again.

Nice selection of cookies and donuts today. Friendly service. Our family favorite is the iced cut out sugar cookies. I personally enjoy the old fashion sugar cookies too.

Best custard and cream filled donuts in town! So FRESH! And, their cakes are so yummy and their cake decorator can replicate just about anything you want! Cake is fresh, not dry like some of the grocery chains idea of "fresh"😉

Best doughnuts in town have always come from here! We used to get them on Saturday mornings after delivering the Saturday edition of the Columbus Citizens Journal on my route when I was a kid.

Execellent long johns, pumpkin donuts, and turkey shaped cut out cookies today, 11/7/2020. Also two very nice helpful employees this morning around 10:30 am.

Have to visit any time I'm home. THE BEST cream filled doughnuts and cut out cookies with icing. Everything is great but those are my favorite. Got spoiled growing up with their food so nothing else compares.
