Food is delicious and prices are cheap. The kitchen can take awhile if they’re super busy. Won’t impress foodies, but a solid Midwest meal.

My only boomer comment: the jukebox is extremely loud!

What a great place, it has been there since the 1800's. The owner and staff were so friendly and the place is very clean. I had a pork tenderloin sandwich with onion rings, and it was all great! If you go, check out the grill just to the right of the bar, they still use it.

One of my favorite places in Newark. I love all their food and I can scarf down their burgers without feeling gross afterward. I love the staff. All the appetizers are delicious. You can't go wrong here. It's one of those hole in the wall places you'll keep coming back to.

Yummy comfort food, kind, friendly waitstaff. Very affordable. The fun, nostalgic decor wraps you in happy feelings. A must on your visit to Newark!

The best burger I’ve had in a while!
The scenery is incredible, there’s so much to look at. The food is delicious & the prices are reasonable. The bartenders and people working overall were out of this world. Very impressed.

Laid back and good place to enjoy good food and drinks with friends. No need to put on airs, just be yourself, talk, laugh and enjoy. That is what the atmosphere says to do.

Came in with my oldest daughter for lunch, live the atmosphere, great prices, what a gem of a place, not too many old time places like this left, nice selection on tap as well, overall will definitely be back

Legit hometown classic. If you've never been you're missing out, and doesn't matter where you're from you'll feel like you're in your hometown. I've never had a bad meal, and it's permanently on the will always go again list. Cold beer, great food, and the gals making it all happen are all top notch. Thank you for being you and keeping it down to earth real.

What a gem in the back towns of Ohio. Seems to be run by two sisters that love to yell at each other. Makes for great atmosphere like a family holiday meal. Highly recommend for cheap and great cheeseburgers

We had tickets to a concert at the Midland theater and so drove to downtown Newark and found a restaurant close to the square. There are several options but we definitely made the right choice. This is what I affectionately call a hole in the wall. The front is pretty non-descript, but inside the walls are covered with memorabilia and the tables and seats are clean.

We ordered a bacon cheeseburger, onion rings, mushrooms and cauliflower to share between us. It takes a while for your food to come out, probably because it all tastes fresh rather than frozen for who knows how long before being fried. The bacon was wonderfully crispy on the burger. The mushrooms were still plump and juicy, the onion rings were delicious and the cauliflower tasted as if it had been part of a head of cauliflower just a few hours ago before being lovingly battered and fried.

The restaurant is small so get there early or grab a seat at the bar. But just go. Leave your diet at home and just go enjoy some delicious food and a beer or two. Its reasonable and yummy, and for a casual date night it was perfect. Thanks!

Excellent dinner. A good NY Strip and very nice ladies running the whole show tonight. The home fries really were that! Crispy and seasoned simply with salt and pepper. Nice, fun little bar.

Food great, waitress was very nice very busy, the owner very nice like talking with her. Alot of history inside. Pictures of the great J F K, an Elvis an more. If never been there U need to stop an have a cold beer an look around. It brings make some memories. Thanks ladies we will be back!!!!!

Stopped in Friday with a friend for a late lunch. This is by far one of the best places for great food and atmosphere. Had a great burger and fries as always the food is amazing. The employees are awesome. Very engaging and carry on a great conversation. I've been going there for years and will continue for years to come! It's like stepping back in time to better days!

This is one of my absolute favorites! They have the best burgers and French fries and dyna bites and you have to try the Eula special sauce😋 and got to have a shot of Crown apple lol

Great dive bar atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Good quality food. Servers friendly and attentive.

Had a burger lunch, one of their specials with bacon and ham. It was delicious and tasty. Service was quick and the waitress (Tawny?) Was friendly and engaging. The building exudes its history with a wall of beer steins and rock & roll memorabilia. Others in the establishment appeared to be workers from the county courthouse and local business folk. Definitely worth a visit when I can try the beer.

Nice place with great atmosphere and professional staff. Best of all Brandy! The decor is authentic and perfect for those of who appreciate the "old-Old school".
