Awesome shop! I highly recommend Axis Arms. The owner has always been super friendly and helpful. Best place in Ohio to find cool pieces of history.

This was my first time buying online at Axis Arms, but I need to explain the reason why five star is not enough.
1. I ordered on Sunday and the next day at noon I received an email saying that my order was ready and immediately another email with the tracking number.
2. I received the order on Friday, and that is I live 1500 miles away, so It was pretty fast.
3. The packaging was very good, so good it survived, by the all known "good" handling of USPS :).
4. The product was , and this is where I don't agree with them, the qualification was very conservative. And I know it because not just for the asthetics, but because I disassembled the entire rifle and I did not have to do much. By the way this is a turkish Mauser M93 made in 1895 or 1896 and upgraded in 1935. That is why I was surprised how clean the rifle was.
A little advice for those that are in doubt of pulling the trigger you won't have much time because I did with a Russian M44 in very good condition and matching numbers and then it was gone. And now I saw one with same characteristics in another famous website at almost double the price.

Items sell extremely quickly, but he'd seems rather focus on quality (than maximize sales and ruin his reputation). I'll watch and be quick ;)

I have ordered items from sellers who gave good descriptions. I have ordered items from sellers who vastly overestimate the quality of the items they sell. Matthew at Axis is the first time I have ordered something and was blown away because the item I ordered was BETTER than described. I am 150% satisfied. Made my day! He grades like a collector and doesn't pull any punches to make a sale. I will be doing business with him again!

100% Recommend buying anything from Matt! Everything is always super nice and of great quality. I've bought a fair amount of stuff from Matt. Starting with the Carcano's he had years ago, to today with individual listings on his website. I've never been disappointed in anything I've got from him and will continue to do business with with him. Great guy and great business!

What else is there to say, that has not been said in others reviews! I made an online purchase on a Sunday. Called the store Monday just to make sure everything was in order. Matt was already packing it up for shipping! Will definitely be future business here!

Went and picked up an Arasaka and let me tell ya it was an amazing friendly place. I wouldn’t recommend him enough! Friendly and plenty of inventory! I’ll be returning soon.

Nice little shop and like I said always support your local gun dealers! Look for the little guys they give you better customer service. They will go the extra mile to get you something that they may not have in stock. Large corporate owned gun shops like our largest in Ohio name not mention but we know who I’m talking about, they are connected to the Buckeye firearms Association which is throttling the amount of ammo, loading supplies and guns sold in the state of Ohio! Don’t use the big guy unless you have no other choice

Best purchase I've made in a firearm and I live several states away. The customer service was excellent!! The owner went out of his way to help me out and ship my rifle very fast, especially during this super busy time for them. My rifle arrived in better shape than I thought and very clean. The price on it (Mosin M44) was cheaper than buying it locally, shipping included, and it was very fair of a price considering the surplus market now. Will definitely be buying again in the future.

I've been purchasing a variety of milsurp rifles from Axis Arms for the last year and every rifle I've received has been in excellent condition, the item description is exactly what you get. The owner is very kind and transparent. I recently purchased a bayonet that went missing in the shop and the owner was willing to help with the issue and gave me the exact model from his own collection, which he didn't need to do. I cannot speak highly enough of this company and the man in charge. You won't be disappointed in any purchases from Axis Arms

Just wanted to take some time to talk/brag about Axis Arms. It’s a gun shop in Newark, OH owned and operated by Matt who’s a super nice guy, very knowledgeable and honest with what he’s selling. Axis Arms specializes in military surplus weapons and memorabilia, literally a museum that you can buy weapons from world wars from! I highly recommend checking out the store, there’s always interesting things to see and buy there.

Visited Axis Arms over the weekend to take advantage of their Carcano sale. Emailed Matt (the owner), asking if I could order during the week and pick it up on Saturday, since it was a 5 hour trip from my house, and he hooked me up. Upon arriving, he was super personable and extremely friendly and helpful. He even offered to have one of his employees swab the bores of any cosmoline filled rifles that I was interested in. I can genuinely say that the actual condition of many of his offerings are much better than described on his website. I ended up taking home 2 carcanos and will definitely be visiting his store again in the future.

The owner Matt is a down to earth guy. He doesn't use high pressure sales, instead he will tell you some facts about the firearm you're interested and he is pretty knowledgeable if you ask questions. I always recommend people to Matt. Good guy that well take care of his customers. 👍

Axis Arms is a great place for historic military firearms and other items. If you like surplus arms you will definitely enjoy this store. The owner, Matt is very knowledgeable and seems more than willing to help find whatever you are looking for. Also, his prices are great and I will definitely be back for more.

Three guns and a conceal carry class later I can confidently say Axis Arms is one of the better firearms dealers I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with. The owner has been nothing but friendly, helpful, and very knowledgable through every interaction I've had with him. The pricing is very fair and the shops inventory contains some real gems from time to time. I hope I have the pleasure of doing plenty more business with Axis Arms in the future. I cannot recommend them enough.

Matt is great! He is probably the best place to buy an antique from and he is very friendly and knowledgeable. I'd recommend him to anybody. If you're looking for anything worth while that you might not find anywhere else, give him a try!

I’ve had a great experience with Axis Arms. Matt the owner of the shop is super friendly and well knowledgeable of firearms that he offer at the shop. Also last but not the least, his prices are very reasonable, so it’s definitely worths a visit to his store or website to check out great choices of mil-surplus firearms.

Can’t beat the prices on the Carcanos right now. Lowest on the market by a decent amount. I was very pleased with my first so I ordered a second one! These aren’t toasted like the RTI/ Inner Ordinance ones. Mine has some nice wear that’s gives it the “battle worn” look. Solid condition bore as well to round it out. My favorite part is seeing all these fudds on the internet calling these junk.. They said the same thing about Mosins and look at their average price now. As soon as these are gone well...Take a guess.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very fair and affordable prices. The store tried very hard to find rare and uncommon products. I will definitely be using this establishment for all my Milsurp needs.

If you like surplus rifles, this shop is worth visiting. Owner is a super nice guy and I really enjoyed talking with him. Great choices of rifles and ammunition. I’m without a doubt going back in the future.
