Vagabond Village

Vagabond Village is sort of out in
the middle of nowhere but worth the effort to get there. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is great. Daily specials. Thursday is burger specials. Soup was great. Highly recommend this place.

Dont drive by. Seriously the best food! I only review truth. If your near, you owe it to yourself to stop here. Wonderful service. I almost forgot how good it felt to have this kind of service.

This is a great little home town cooking, breakfast all day, fried chicken, local farmer kind of resteraunt. We get breakfast skillets from the kitchen and are great eats. The price is a dollar or two more than other similar area eateries but worth it for the atmosphere and service in our opinion.

I was treated to a wonderful breakfast located in Cecil, Ohio this morning. One of my absolute loves in life is visiting homestyle diners and restaurants across the US. The Vagabond Restaurant did not let me or my stomach down.

Upon entering, it was a hard toss up to eat at one of the booths or the high diner chairs near the kitchen. In the corner, were three older gentleman each wearing Vietnam Vet hats and a young man with his Grandpa. All patrons seemed local, calling one another by name. I would consider them all salt of the earth type people by their overall demeanor.

Upon being seated in the soft booth, the very pleasant young waitress proceeded to place a bright USA placemat in front of me. It reminded me of how thankful I am to have the privilege of doing such things as this, thanks to the men in the corner booth and those like them who have fought for my freedom to do so.

It seemed like a family run restaurant or people who have worked long enough together to be almost like family. There was a grey haired gentleman pushing a cart with a sign taped on the side "Dave's Cart--Do Not Touch. I smirked internally as I wondered what the story was that motivated Dave to put a sign in his cart. Small things like that amuse me for some reason.

The wide-smiled waitress took our order, I ordered blueberry pancakes. The brief wait was well worth the tasty, full plates presented in front of us. The pancakes were cooked to perfection and I can't remember the last time (besides my Momma making them) that I had fresh plump blueberries rather than the typical frozen, haphazardly berries tossed into the batter.

As I slowly devoured the cakes, talk around me was of upcoming bow hunting season. I could see my companion get a little forlorn as he too listened intently to the conversation. Last week he had a full shoulder replacement surgery and it would be sometime before he gets back out in a stand.

Between the old fashioned prepared food to the very friendly staff, this mornings visit to the Vagabond was a very pleasant experience.

Pot roast sandwich was excellent. Staff very friendly.

A wonderful dinning experience with friendly staff and delicious food. This establishment is family friendly and has amazing breakfast food along with a variety of lunch and dinner options as well. This establishment is always clean and the service is speedy definately recommend. Thank you Jeff and Jodi for another wonderful evening of dinning at the Vagabond Village!

First time here, the girlfriend has been a long time customer and decided to bring me. I am glad she did, the food, service and atmosphere is awesome! The prices are average but for a place that has restrictions (Covid) this place is highly recommended.

We got the Adventure Challenge couples edition, our first date challenge landed us here and it was delicious! The tenderloin was huge & yummy! Their warm apple dumplin was amazing! 😋 Their service was awesome, the ladies were so nice. We can't wait to take our kiddos here, we will definitely be returning!

Home style menu and food. Including pie. Nice employees that are friendly. Wonderful family environment. They have booths, highchairs and individual tables. They also sell Amish Apple Butter, Canned Meat, Egg Noodles. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

First time I have been there in years and the food was fantastic, even better than I remember. Great friendly service and home cooking taste. Highly recommend!

I remember that place from childhood but haven't been anywhere near for 35 years. Stopped in today while on a trip. Great place good food. Look like regular roadside diner on one end and fine dining on the other. Nice staff and good food. I will be back next time through.

Hot Roast Beef sandwich had been one of my favorites for 40 years and as a trucker I've eaten then all over the country...... The one just had at Vagabond Village is have down the best I've ever had.... REAL MASHED POTATOES EVEN!! DELICIOUS!!

Great service and good food! Unfortunately, next Sunday, October 9, 2022 will be their last day. Thank you to the staff and owners for all the years of service to the community. We will miss you all!!

The Sunday buffet was great. The broasted chicken just fell off the bone. Delicious home cooked choices also.

Food was phenomenal!!! Service was great!!! I especially loved their lemon cakes, yummy!!! Only had 5 stars, but worth more stars.

Take this location for what it is. A friendly off the highway dinner style location with a friendly family feel. Staff was great and the food hit the spot.

My wife and I sat down and AIDS and head a wonderful experience the atmosphere was inviting and friendly and the staff was eager to help the food was wonderful properly seasoned and in proportions that you would not believe hungry or feeling that you need to go somewhere else and eat again actually it leaves you wanting to just sit there and hold on a conversation get to know the people around you get to know the person that you're eating with is a very warm and friendly place which allows you to enjoy your surroundings as you are enjoying your meal I would definitely recommend this establishment to anybody who's passing through or just eager to try new things.
