Wayne's Barber Shop

I absolutely love taking my boys to Wayne's Barber Shop. Classic small town barber with fair pricing. He's very good with kids, and I can tell he is very respected by everyone who comes to see him just by their conversations. And, of course, he has a candy drawer.

Wayne is a great barber. Knows so much about his customers and genuinely listens to what's been going on in their lives. But he is also known for his jokes, and for getting the best scoop in town on what businesses are coming and going.

You have to try this place out. Wayne is a master at his craft. A gentleman, and scholar. Thank you Wayne! I’ll definitely be back.

My Dad recently moved to town, I called in the morning to check for any openings and was able to get him in that same afternoon. My Dad enjoyed talking with Wayne and learning his shop has been there for 50 years. Wayne provided excellent service at a great price. Wayne's prices are extraordinarily reasonable and you can pretty much get in every day of the week with just a few hours notice. Wayne's is part of what makes Hartford a great community. You'll love him!

This is a wonderful shop. Plenty of parking on the side of the shop. Wayne is great at his craft. He provides the best service I have had in many years. I highly recommend him. Also his prices are the best I have found in the area.

Was surprised by the negative review posted here by Courtney Johnson regarding Wayne refusing to cut the hair of her usher even though he was an active duty Navy sailor. I've been a customer of Wayne's for many years and Ms Johnson's review seemed totally out of character with Wayne's way of doing business. Asked Wayne about it today, he said the gentleman came in on the day of the wedding for a haircut and he had no openings until later in the day. That was why he was "refused service". I have also been "refused service" when I dropped in without an appointment and was told there wouldn't be an opening until later in the day or even until the next day. Members of all branches of the military should receive our thanks and appreciation. But I suspect he knew ahead of time when the wedding was taking place. As the sign in a local business says, "Failure to plan ahead on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part".

Wayne's is a classic shop where you'll get a great haircut at the best price around, and you'll get Wayne's wit and wisdom that will always put a smile on your face.
