La Mariposa Restaurant & Margarita House

Great food and drinks the prices are unbeatable. And our waitress was amazing!! First time there and we are definitely going back.! This is going to be out new date spot ☺. Fyi the coconut margarita is AMAZING glad she recommended it to me 🍸

First time here. Our waiter was awesome he was always making sure we where taken care of. Food was amazing the atmosphere was just spectacular. Will be back again. Don't remember our waiters name but he was from Cuba and was just a great guy. Needs a raise.

Great place. Greeted by a lovely little girl (must have been the daughter of the owner) that sat us at our table. The food was great. The happy hour is 3-6 and the margaritas are $6!!!!! Ordered the nachos that were $12. Pretty good. Had carrots on the nachos, was a vibe tho. They forgot the guac and sour cream tho. No big deal. Definitely worth the $12. La Mariposa is a great place for having dinner. They have several vegetarian options (two burritos, enchiladas, tacos, and some appetizers) and some gluten free options. We had the spinach enchiladas, the veggie burrito and the elotes as an appetizer. Everything here is delicious and tasty but a little bit greasy. And if you like margarita they have ALL of them. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and the staff is very friendly.

Guadalupe (Lupita) was an outstanding waitress and made our experience great. She was quick to get our drink orders, had our food out quickly, and was so sweet to us. The food was delicious and the drinks were a good price. The menu had lots of options. Overall the excellent service and food has us excited to come back!!

We had six people for a great birthday dinner. Parking was easy and straightforward. The menus were nice and there was plenty to choose from. I'm hoping in the future they add a little more serious gluten-free menu but my partner was able to find things to enjoy. The cocktails were good and I think reasonably priced. I had a birthday sopapilla. That was awesome. The staff was great. I'll keep going. I signed up for the birthday club.

Forgot to grab pictures before we started eating but everything is WONDERFUL. Food is hot & fresh with great flavor. Salsa is great with a nice kick to it. Strawberry mango frozen margaritas were great! The service was phenomenal. If we weren’t from Kansas City here on vacation this would be our go to spot!

Such amazing food! I did not know what to expect being from Texas but I was pleasantly surprised that the Mexican food here is better than anything we have back home. They have such an extensive menu that I was worried nothing would be good. Quite the contrary! Everything was outstanding! Exceptional service made it a perfect meal.

Erika was a awesome friendly bar tender! I had a house 44oz margarita and the crispy chili reanos plate! It hit the spot 😋 the orange spicy sauce was great.

Very good food!! There chili cheese fries come in a big portion and you should be ready to share them! Overall delicious food that was made quick.

I love this restaurant so much been going for years already ! I have a regular server she’s very good and knows how to sell (Alicia) !! Thank you Alicia for your awesome service! and of course the yummy food !

La Mariposa is a great dining experience, friendly staff, amazing food, and fast service. Would recommend coming here to dine. Overall very happy with the experience and definitely will be visiting again. One of the top places to dine in Boulder!

We ordered delivery and then we did so again the VERY NEXT DAY. great food. Thank you! And now I've visited and eaten in the restaurant with Amazing Eileen as our server...she brought over a Halloween decoration for my friend and I to take pictures of our spooky nails with..too fun. And of course the food was outstanding!

I'm from Phoenix AZ.My boss and I were in Denver awhile ago.we stopped at this restaurant.first time there.i ordered some homemade tacos.owner said that we don't make the tacos that I wanted.what he did for me.he made me my home made tacos special for me.thats what I'll remember the rest of my life.thank you very much.i hope that you read this.

Very good food. Our server Marisol was so nice too. Some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever tasted. The fish taco was outstanding.

I’ve been to La Mariposa at least 12 times since they opened last year and always been treated with amazing service, outstanding food, and one of the best Mexican Restaurant experiences I have ever experienced.

Their margaritas keep me coming back for more, (not to mention the rewards program… free margarita on national margarita day? )

Well, the Birria tacos are my best friend. The owner was at the bar tonight and it was great to meet him and wish I had interviewed this business sooner, but I’m glad I waited because now I can really detail how much I appreciate this business.

Please visit this place, it is hands down the best and most unique restaurant experience Boulder has to offer.

We went to the boulder taco festival and tried the birria taco . . . And they were amazing! We ended up coming to the restaurant and getting the whole meal. Their Mexican rice is super bomb!!! My kid is pretty picky and she loved all of it! The spicy cucumber margarita is fire too! 🤤 Service is a little slow. And I do feel they are a little over priced on some things. They charged me 2 dollars for salsa for my birria tacos. The margaritas were 10 and they were pretty small. . . But all in all I would come back here and eat the tacos

Such great food! They have lots of options for everyone, and lots of fun margaritas, it’s great for a celebration or just any night, 100% recommend !

Food was excellent, I ordered the Molcajete de Carnitas. What a treat. You can split this with two people unless you big eaters makes enough for 5 to 6 tacos.
The braised pork was 5 stars. They know what they are doing here.
the atmosphere is relaxing, has very tall ceilings maybe 25 to 30 feet tall in the middle of this place.

Staff was great, pleasant, fairly relaxed on timing. Which is great if your not in a rush. Takes about 20 minutes to recieve your order, we'll worth the wait.
Oh if you like margaritas they can take care of you.

Only critique that I have is they really should consider home made tortillas.

Food is always really yummy, drinks are wonderful. Service has its days, some are good, some are iffy, but overall a really good place to eat and hang out.
