Asian Market

I am grateful to have this Asian grocery store in Boulder.
My favorite brands of Asian staples are here, and the vegetables always look more happy and fresh than at regular stores. I have never had trouble with service friendliness here - if anything I feel like this place gives a really authentic vibe.

How long has this incredible store been a part of Boulder? I think the lovely lady who runs the place has been there as long as I can remember - over 20 years or more? Not only a great selection of groceries, but also very fresh and well packed vegetables and freezer goods. This store to me is a Boulder landmark and "must visit" location.

I used to shop at Pacific Ocean in Broomfield but since they were bought by Great Wall pricing seems to be more competitive at the Asian Market in Boulder for non-perishable items like spices, fermented products, and flavorings and it's much less of a drive. Good selection given the store is on the smaller size -- they've always had the products I was looking for. Fresh sesame balls at the checkout are good too.

I picked up some great dipping dishes. They have all kinds of dishes and pots. And I get my kimchee there.

We're so grateful for this local place that offers so many asian food items!

Didn’t expect such a small shop to carry so many good stuff. Had their hand made rice dumpling and it great. Also a bunch of cool snacks

I can’t tell you how great this place is. Awesome stuff in there in general but the owner and her family are so helpful and informative and have helped me hone some recipes! She also makes the BEST fish sauce (it’s a kinda sweet vinegary chili sauce) from scratch and it’s pretty incredible.

Local, been around for 30 odd years. I love getting my Asian pantry items here: Thai curry paste, sauces, etc. Also, their selection of cookware is not too shabby!!

This hole-in-the-wall market is packed from floor to ceiling with just about every Asian food product you can think of and then a few thousand more. At least it seems so to a non-Asian. There are fresh herbs and frozen seafoods as well. The atmosphere feels rather businesses-like and may be a little short on smiles but these folks are happy to help you find that unusual ingredient that your recipe calls for. Plenty of parking too.

I love this place. It's packed full of everything I need for my Thai, Vietnamese, and Cambodian food! Dry good but also fresh produce.

They sell cans and Tetra Paks of Aroy-D coconut milk/cream at competitive prices! I now visit several times a month to restock.

I've noticed some negative reviews about the owner's cut-and-dried nature, but it's very clear that what some might perceive as rudeness is merely a cultural and personality difference--as she treats everyone the same.

This place is very good in most areas. They have everything any Asian cooker could want 👏 The prices are fantastic! They keep it low because no thrifty person would pay any higher. Bravo for being located in boulder and being honest with prices. Even if you have infinite money like most do in boulder it seems, you can know here you are paying a fair price. For those of you not so fortunate(yet🙏😊), you will like this place for the prices. The only compliant I have with this place is they don't carry many things organic. Now to the more personal things I noticed; I love how I can buy everything in bulk and know I'm not getting ripped off like I would at whole foods buying non organic stuff in tiny packages of their Asian assortments and non Asain assortments.

Now about the service; The front lady, and her husband? They might not be related? Anyways, they are as traditional Chinese as you can find. They are serious in demeanor and keep to themselves doing store tasks (upkeep, stocking shelves, etc), so it's expected you ask for help, but they are very friendly, and very helpful once you initiate the interaction. Don't assume they are rude because they are not cultured like you. If you are Asian cultured this will be obvious to you, if you are more "Americanized," then this might be different for you. Open the different culture with welcome arms and you will like it there.

I wish I took pictures, but they really have everything. They are like a mini Costco in middle of boulder. Buy rice dirt at its' fair price, every Asian condiment known to man, or buy dried top quality shitake shrooms for a fair price in bulk for the best soup of your life. This place is great! Couldn't recommend it more.

Decent selection of a variety of asian cooking ingredients. Lots of yummy snacks - shrimp chips, chili seaweed, a variety of ramen, etc, so most of the basics. Had a lot of beans and lentils, of which every other store is sold out of during all this COVID stuff, so that was a nice surprise. Prices are fair, and even cheap by Boulder standards. And I appreciate the employees were wearing full PPE.

It was wonderful. I was able to find everything I was looking for. Fresh bean sprouts, bulk mint and basil, guchugang tub, thai tea mix, pho paste, edamame, spices, actually spicy kimchi, pocky and much more. The nice lady that checked us out was making me laugh too. Really enjoyed searching through the isles for everything.

We love this place! It's a small, hole in the wall type joint but has the best selection of different asian things. Snacks, drinks and even a whole isle of ramen!

Great supermarket that has lots of Asian and Indian specialty ingredients. It is predominantly Asian (Korean, Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, Lao and Chinese) with a few Indian ingredients. The owners are helpful if you ask. Fortunate to have this store in Boulder

This is the best source for Asian and other ethnic ingredients in Boulder without having to drive to Broomfield! Don't be put off by the Dragon Lady who runs the place - she's gruff and curt because she loves you!

My new favorite place for select produce and imported goods. You can't beat these prices anywhere else and the staff is well knowledged and super helpful. Not sure what something is, just ask; it may be your new favorite grocery item! Gotta get over there to get some mangoes. Non gmo deliecious ripened mangoes.
