What a pleasant surprise! I didn't know what to expect but the food was excellent. Funguy mushrooms were very good, reminded me of a clam strip (but were mushrooms). Burger was phenomenal. One of the best in Walworth County for sure. Seasoned fries were also very good. We'll be back.

We stopped in based on all the recommendations we read on a Facebook page that discusses all things local to the area. This restaurant was mentioned over and over as having the best burger around, and it did not disappoint. It was delicious. The homemade fries and chips were fantastic, too. We can't wait to go back! Just a note - there are only a couple of low tables. Most every table and chair is a high bar table/stool. Luckily, the low table was available and my elderly mom was comfortable.

Cheeseburger was delicious. I just wish that they used dill pickles instead of bread and butter pickles. Overall a great place to have a drink and a burger with friends.

Wow, great atmosphere, great food, great service! Hubby and I had Curd is the Word (so light and soft cheese!) and Smashburgers - amazing! Everything is so unique and light, you can tell the cook takes a lot of pride in what he makes and everything is homemade and AMAZING! 😋 Can't wait to go back to try more!!!!

Went again yesterday and had the chicken Como Katsu...WOW, WOW, WOW!!!!!!

Tried the Funguy mushrooms as an appetizers and they were excellent. Had the burger for the main course and it was the best burger I have had at a restaurant in a very long time! Loved that they had gluten free buns. Staff was also very knowledgeable about gluten free items. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely LOVE Papa's! Went here today for my birthday and had the Como Katsu sandwich and hot damn!! Delicious! Also their cheesecurds and mushrooms with homemade sauce will have your tastebuds dancing! The owners are so kind and wonderful and truly take pride in quality of flavor and ingredients in their food and it shows! Highly reccomend wish I could give more then 5 stars!!

This place is awesome! We stayed here for a week and ate and drank several times. It was always good and the people were very nice! I can't say enough good things about them!

Some of the best falafel you'll ever have, kudos to the chef for crafting such a fine tasting wrap all the way down to the Naan.

And Samantha was great at the bar too!

Papa’s is one of our all time fave local spots. We always know we will have amazing food with great service in a laid back environment. Whenever we have a craving for a burger (which tends to happen a lot;) we head to Papa’s for the best burger and fries and fried mushrooms we have ever had. The combination of the cheddar cheese and fresh dill on the burger, topped with a buttered and grilled bun, is pure magic. Even my kids order the cheese burger fully loaded. We are looking forward to our next visit, especially when they start making soup!

I can't believe I haven't reviewed Papa's before, we've been coming here since they opened and the food is always outstanding and the service even better. Last night Samantha took care of us outside in the lovely garden area with our puppy. The shaved prime rib sandwich and Flew the Coop sandwich were outstanding.

Our server Cheyenne was great and recommend fantastic options for us! We ordered the Como Katsu, Hot Chicken Sandwich with seasoned fries, and cheese curds. Everything was Absolutely amazing. Wish we lived closer to come to this hidden gem more often!

We love Papa's. Everyone is always so friendly and the food is so good. I would highly recommend Papa's to anyone looking for upscale bar food.

Classic Wisconsin bar. Nonsensically amazing food. Really wild a bar that looks like that can make such good food. Wait staff was fantastic.

Delicious! We had the falafel sandwich and the flower power in sweet sauce! We ate the fried cauliflower so fast we didn’t have time to take a picture. The falafel sandwich was so good and filling. Plus it was all vegan! (Im guessing a shared fryer, but you gotta pick your battles when you’re out to eat, right!) I highly recommend, we’ll be back for sure! 😋

Really, really delicious food. I can't say it enough. My husband had the Bleu the Coop sandwich and I had the Como Katsu. Both wonderful. The fried mushroom appetizer...the best we have ever had. Rhonda (I think that was her name) was a rock star. She was the only waitress I saw, and she did a great job! Will definitely be back!

What an amazing place! This staff, location, patrons and food is unreal. If you don’t have the Burger you’ll regret it and #thecurdistheword at this little slice of Midwestern heaven. #MamaJoanRocks
