Daddy Maxwell's Diner & Cafe

Came here on a late Sunday morning. Busy business but they move quickly. The food was so good. We had the big breakfast with banana pancakes. The pancakes were the best banana cakes I've ever had. Will be returning and highly recommended.

Very tasty breakfast and fantastic atmosphere! I will definitely be eating here again. Wide variety of a menu and the prices are very fair. Great family restaurant make sure to not to pass them up!

The story, food and service are amazing. Expect a wait on busy mornings, especially during tourist seasons. Built to model the yerkes observatory and an early morning haunt of astronomers, this place serves up big servings of amazing breakfasts. Thoroughly enjoyed the corned beef hash and the baNana foster pancakes special! Our server was a pro during the busy Saturday morning breakfast rush and we had plenty of coffee and chocolate milk. The interior is high holiday kitsch with pastel furnishings. We're glad we stopped by.

One of the best diners ever! Breakfast, lunch, soooo good. Homemade pies are amazing too.

I ordered the Black Russian burger and , boy was it good!. A nice thick burger done to medium with sour cream and sliced black olives. The fries were done just right without to much salt. My first time there but it won't be my last

THE BEST breakfast on Lake Geneva. Everything was outstanding. Get the French recipe pancakes. I tried to look up what that meant and can’t find any reference, so I’m guessing it is their own interpretation and is so good!!! The banana and blueberry were both great. The omelettes are amazing! Just make sure to bring cash!

Cash only is fine. Food was very good. Things you would think of most of the time. I enjoyed, and the donuts are a must. That was my first and will not be my last.

Great local diner. Be advised: cash only. Love the fish tacos and potato pancakes. Diverse menu, almost overwhelming, just tell the wait staff what you want and they will recommend something great.

My dad Tom has been taking me here since I was a wee little boy. The food has been delicious for all these years and the staff are always amazingly kind and talented. We will continue to come here until we are all dead :)

Our favorite breakfast place in the area, and it has been for over ten years! Delicious, thick pancakes and everything else you'd expect in a diner type restaurant. Homemade donuts and pies are also great! Friendly staff and a home-like atmosphere.

Loved the service. Hard to find places that have good service. First time and treated like regulars 😀 really enjoyed the food. Biscuit and heavy are great. Eggs Benedict yummy. And prices are good for food. Definitely coming back

The service was amazing and so friendly, it was also very quick. Not only the service that was great, so was the food. The most amazing food I have had in a long time. Maybe even the best ever. The home made food and meals were just spectacular and I felt like crying when I tasted it, it was so incredible, highly recommend it. GO THERE NOW.

The next time I tried to go to Daddy Maxwell they refused to cook an egg because they said they had turned the grills off even though they weren't closed yet and they can't cook an egg on the same Grill as a hamburger which I don't understand or don't they have a pot? Very unhappy with this next visit. They will lose business this way. There is nothing posted saying that you can't get breakfast for an hour before they close etc etc etc

Great place. I loved the menu and decorations all over about the family and others. The service and food were awesome too!

I've been coming here with friends and family since I was a little girl. I don't even know where to start! The servers here are all so nice! The food is beyond delicious! Everything! Their specials are always unique and oh so yummy. If you don't want anything too crazy, their French Batter Pancakes are a must. Every once in a while they have a dish being served with homemade caramel sauce so I'll order banana french batter pancakes and use the caramel sauce as syrup (which they sometimes have on special as Banana Foster pancakes...TO. DIE. FOR! you honestly can't go wrong at this little gem. Oh, and homemade donuts..a must! It can get super crowded in the summer and on Sundays so expect to wait for a table!

I heard good things from some friends who live near and was not disappointed when I visited myself. Food was great and reasonably priced. Food came out rather quickly aswell which was nice. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a good breakfast diner.

A trip to Wisconsin has to include at least 1 visit here. Great breakfast, not a donut fan but always get one here. Jay our server was a great addition to our excellent meal.
