I love Kim so much that I sought her out after she opened this new place. I am so glad I did! The Fainting Couch is a cozy and inclusive environment. Queer friendly! Iz, Julia, and Kim make such a lovely team. I got my wedding hair done by Kim last weekend and it made me feel so beautiful!

I've been seeing Kim for many years for a reason. She does a great job and she is a wonderful A+ human. Kim always goes the extra mile and this is evident in her work. When Kim does my hair, I'm confident that it will be done well. She always listens to my hair questions, needs and concerns without judgement. She always offers sound advice regarding the care and styling of whatever hairdo I am sporting at the moment. Kim is highly versatile and she is able to create both avante garde and traditional hair styles. Years of experience working within the hair-care realm has allowed Kim to attain an expansive amount of experience and knowledge within her field. Her salon is well maintained, clean and easy to find. I really like all of the interesting artwork on the walls. Ample parking is available right outside the door in the designated parking lot. There are many shops nearby which is nice because I can complete errands after my hair appointment. If you are looking for a new hairstylist, I highly suggest you make an appointment at The Fainting Couch. I'm confident that you will be happy with the results.

Julia is a consummate professional, her massage skills are second to none in my experience. I walked in feeling quite sore from a weekend of kayaking, and a few weeks of 10 plus hour work days. When I left I felt like I was floating on a cloud. I had another service performed by Kim. She took the scruffy mop of hair I brought her and turned it into something very fetching. Fellas, if your looking at all the amazing, vibrant colors and lovely lady styles shown on the website or socials. And thinking to yourself this is only a place for feminine folks. Let me set you straight, Kim will not fail to impress. Weather you wear your locks long or high and tight, she has the skills and experience to help you look your best.

I have had amazing experiences at The Fainting Couch! I had a pedicure done by Kim and my nails and hair done by Iz. Kim did a fantastic job on the pedicure and my feet felt amazing after. Iz took my pandemic mess of a DIY "over the kitchen sink" hair mop and made it presentable again. Kim and Iz were fantastic to work with. I felt extremely comfortable while I was there and I will definitely be coming back for any professional beauty needs.

Kimberly does the absolute best facials in the greater Pittsburgh area. I've been coming to her for over two years and wouldn't consider switching. She's a very skilled professional and a great person to entrust your skin, hair, and nails to. Highly recommend her services and this business!

I'm a long-time client of Kimberly and Julia, and I trust them with all things beauty. Julia is a fantastic massage therapist, nail artist, and esthetician. Kimberly and Isabel are color experts and will always work with you to make your hair color dreams come true. Kimberly is the owner, I've booked full beauty days of with her - they are hours well spent, from hair to nails, and relaxing facials. Highly recommend this LGBTQIA+ friendly business to everyone.

After reading the reviews about The Fainting Couch online, I decided to make an appointment to get my hair cut. From the moment I walked in the salon was inviting and very clean. Kimberly cut my hair and she was easy to talk to and gave me a great cut. I highly recommend coming here!

I get a facial here once a month and Kim is a miracle worker. She gets my brain to shut off and relax, my skin is always so radiant when I leave and the atmosphere is amazing. I won't go to anyone else.
