Byers Street Bistro

Stayed in Staunton during travel and chose Byers Street Bistro for our last vacation meal.

We'd chose the spot because of their welcoming of pets, having traveled with Kevin, we opted for pet friendly only the entire trip and enjoyed their deck outside.

Atmosphere was extremely welcoming to both us and our pet, offering him treats and water. Comfortable outdoor seating, relaxed environment, people just casually eating and enjoying the historic surroundings.

Our waitress was Gracie, who was excellent. It was near 90, and she's ensured that our drinks were always full, water without asking and cups of ice. She was very attentive and quick to get out orders in and out.

We ordered three different meals (between four of us) and two appetizers, and none of us had a single complaint in regards to the food. Awesome taste; fresh, hot, and ranked amongst our top meals for the weeks travels.

Tonight’s food and service we judged to be excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our time and experience at Byers Street Bistro. Top notch. Apologies for not capturing full photos… it was too good to wait before diving in.

Had a wonderful dining experience here at Byers Street Bistro! Our waiter Franklin was beyond amazing. He was attentive and funny, and was so good at giving recommendations. All the food came out excellent. We ordered hush puppies for appetizer; shrimp tacos and chicken pesto for entrees; brussel sprouts as sides. Everything was SO good. I will gladly drive three hours to return to this place!

Grab your keys and run to this restaurant right now! I had the shrimp tacos with house chips. Listen, whoever seasoned those shrimp needs a raise. I ate so fast that sauce was splashing on anyone nearby. I had a white tea shooter and mojito. Perfectly made! Great waitress. Quaint bistro. Highly recommend!

Had a very delicious lunch. Our waitress was a pro. The atmosphere was very pleasant. We had the BBQ chicken nachos, tasty.

Such a delicious little lunch spot. The shrimp tacos and burgers were delicious. Cozy atmosphere. Friendly staff. Our waiter was great (I don’t remember his name, but he was from Thornburg). He was friendly, gave helpful menu suggestions, and was quick and efficient.

I've been here several times, but tonight, the service was amazing. The server on the second floor was fantastic. He was funny, gracious, attentive without being overbearing, and then funny again. I didn't feel well, but we were out for my daughter's birthday. She didn't like the dessert options, so he suggested an espresso martini, (virgin)...and even brought her a gift card to come back for a drink when she turns 21.

My friend...you nailed it tonight. Great job, and I only wish I had caught your name.

First time at Byers and will definitely return! Our server was Calvin and he was exceptional! He was very personable and on top of his game! He made you feel as though you were at a good friend's home for dinner!
The food was so delicious! Kudos to the chef! The portion size is amazing, there was enough to bring home for the next day!

Even on a rainy day, this restaurant still shines bright! Huge shoutout to Calvin who went through the menu with us, explained the specials, and was highly personable; extremely impressed with his charisma and ability to make my partner and I feel welcomed to the establishment. The food and drinks are top-notch; I can definitely tell the chef thought a lot about their ingredients and taste profiles. The bar cocktails are fresh and tart, and absolutely delicious.

10/10 would come by again; I hate the fact I am from out of town and can’t experience this delectable fare again until my next visit.

The food was delicious we had the haystack burger and the middlebrook salad with salmon. Everything was super fresh. We are planning on coming back for dinner too! Our server was Calvin, he was very friendly and on top of service.

An enjoyable bistro near the quaint historic district. Charming atmosphere and good food. The shrimp tacos were tasty and the waffle fries were especially good. There are outdoor tables but on this October day it was a little to chilly. It’s a nice area to walk around and see some of the historic buildings.

We stopped at Byers Street Bistro, located in beautiful downtown Staunton, Virginia, for a cup of coffee and some dessert. A friend and I really just wanted to sit down and talk and found this lovely little Bistro with a friendly atmosphere and a pretty good cup of coffee. I also had a mint chocolate martini, which was excellent.

The staff was very friendly, and the service was quick. Their menu looks pretty good, too. I will come back here and try the burger when I'm back through town.

Came here with friends, second time being here. Service was great, and the food was delicious!

Lovely place to enjoy a pleasant evening. Outdoor seating gives a decent view of a large parking lot and the town in the background with reasonably priced meals.

The ribs were very good. The potatos it came with were slightly dry. House salad was very plain, with watery ranch. Prime beef sandwich was delicous, and the waffle fries were awesome.

Service was great as well as the people seated around us were all friendly and casual.

~ $50 w/ tip. For a couple to eat. (No drinks or dessert)

Our favorite, we love the crab dip, and the salads are very large.. I enjoy the Cobb salad and the wife loves the salmon salad. Plenty a room with lots of seating, indoor and out.

I’m actually here now. We are visiting Staunton and ate lunch here yesterday and liked it so much we came back for dinner tonight. Super good service. Food is top notch. Prices are decent. We now consider this our Staunton place for future visits to the area.

Ate here with the family recently. We all enjoyed our meals and even bought some plates to take home with us. I had The Wharf pizza and two of the dessert cakes. The pizza was well cooked and had plenty of toppings. The dessert cakes were good, chocolate peanut butter(I believe it was) was worth the price and calories but the strawberry, worth the price but not the calories for me.

Just in town for the night on a road trip. Found this place and am in love with it. Super charming. Incredibly attentive and helpful staff. The food was reasonably priced and amazing. This would be a regular place for me if I lived here.

Great atmosphere, service and food! Nice ambiance and definitely glad they were open a little later since the city shuts down early. I'll be back for sure!
