It is the most beautiful duck pond I have ever seen. The swans are beautiful. There is an Exon almost in front of the park where you can buy bags of food for $1. For the fish there are dispensing machines for $0.25.
It is a super large park for walking, relaxing, it has an exercise area, a small stream and a small train station for children.

It is a great place to spend the day fishing 🎣 🐟 with family and friends, taking a walk, feeding the ducks or your kids a ride of the train when in season. I absolutely love this park!

We came to Staunton in May of 2015 and were thrilled with this park. It isn't lacking in anything. As soon as one enters the main gates with charming metalwork they're greeted by a stream that meanders across the park and helps to feed a lovely gated pond. The pond houses several ducks, geese, swans, as well as Koi fish. One can purchase handfuls of feed for children to enjoy feeding the fauna.

Also, a glorious old bandstand holds various events such as Jazz in the Park for passers-by and folks who choose to sit and enjoy.

In the summer months, there is a terrific outdoor swimming pool. One pays a nominal fee for entry daily, or seasonal passes also may be purchased.

A quaint open-air train can be ridden during posted hours through the park. In the summer a marvelous outdoor pool is available. There is an exercise area with outdoor designed workout equipment. An oval-shaped paved path is present for both parking and exercising by riding bikes, jogging, and walking. Towards the far outer edge of the park is another large open pond.

At Christmas time various churches, businesses, agencies, clubs, and families contribute by sharing their light displays throughout the park. It is beautiful and festive.

Other events are held throughout the year, such as art shows, and community meetings. There are activities for all ages. Among the other facilities are tennis courts, skateboard and/or bicycle half pipes, an outdoor basketball court, and an 18-hole golf course. One is sure to be pleased whether ambling along the tree-lined walkways, exercising, using another wonderful part of the park's many offerings, or resting in the shade on a bench for a bit.

It's a really large park with plenty of areas for people to swim, have picnics, walk, or feed the fish/birds. There's feeders nearby to get food for them and the has station nearby has feed for really cheap as well

We had a lot of fun! Google maps didn't take us close to this playground though, so be careful. We had to search around for it. It took us in to the dog park/skate park area, but this playground is in a completely different entrance. Look for the big lake with ducks and geese (you can see the Royal gas station) and then look up on the hill above the fitness area. That's where you'll find the playground next to a large building. There was a winter bathroom open which was great. The toilets don't have seats though, so if you have any mobility difficulties, you'll want to use a bathroom elsewhere.

Delightful space to spend a day walking, biking, picnicking, reading a good book, and much more. My only wish is that drivers would PUT DOWN THEIR PHONES where everyone is out playing!

I always love visiting this park for walks with the pups. Right now it's also set up for the Christmas light show in the evening, still cute to see when you're walking clockwise as opposed to driving counter-.

This park is great for walks and the scenery is beautiful, During the holidays the decorations are so adorable! And the community pool thats opened in the summer is affordable and fun, just needs some tidying in the restrooms. So if you want a beautiful quiet park to visit. This is where u should go!

We needed a place to stop on our road trip, both ways. What a great gem in such a pretty park. Love that they have two separate areas for big dogs, and the people are so nice. Very handy to have a porta potty close by also. Our boy had a blast.

Love this park! Great place for kids, families, and for exercise. There is a duck pond where you can feed ducks, it's a great place to run, walk, or take a walk with the dog. There are also some little league fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, and a skate park. And the city does a great job of landscaping the park as well. You definitely have to do a slow drive through during Christmas as well! There are lots of decorations and lights.

Very nice park with wide open space. It's bigger than you would think. So even if there are town activities going on, there's still plenty of space to sprawl out and rest in the grass. The duck pond is pretty and well kept.
