The IRS placed a levy on my wages setting off a chain reaction encompassing every aspect of my financial, as well as my personal life. I spent a few years overseas as a government contractor after I retired from the military. I did not file my federal and state income taxes for several years. Rohit in one word - Amazing! If you find yourself in a bad position with the IRS, I would strongly urge you to contact him immediately. Rohit has been my accountant for 8 years so when we had a family member who had an unbelievable tax issue - 6 years of back taxes with penalties and a tax bill of $70,000 plus, he was the person we turned to. We were completely overwhelmed with an aggressive auditor and never-ending requests from the IRS. One call to Rohit and our stress levels started to drop. With his expertise and patience, he was able to deal with the auditor and get the request under control. He explained every step in the process and what options were available. Given the number of years and the staggering amount involved I didn't expect much could be done. Imagine my surprise when the IRS waived the penalties for 4 years. I hate to be long-winded, but I feel this has to be said...

As a successful entrepreneur for over twenty years, I have always made every effort to hire the best tax advisors I could (often blue chip national or regional firms) and to follow their instructions carefully by filing the forms and paying the amounts they tell me to.

Despite these efforts in recent years I was receiving larger and larger piles of letters from the IRS -- as many as two or three a week -- asserting I owed tens of thousands in taxes, penalties and interest. This didn't make sense and was frankly frightening.

As a first step, I had the Big Four accounting firm I was working with at the time try to resolve the issues on my behalf, but they were swiftly unsuccessful and told me simply to pay the amounts the IRS was asking for. Yet, based on my own analysis, I didn’t agree I owed any of the stated amounts.

I subsequently took the matter on myself and spent many hours on the phone with the IRS, even meeting with them in person on one occasion. While the IRS had stated they would get back to me on the details I had provided, they instead unexpectedly sent me to collections.

As a last ditch effort to getting these issues resolved, I engaged Kalra CPA and was shocked when in a matter of one week, Mr. Kalra and his team laid out clearly and comprehensively what the issues were and how approximately 90% of the outstanding tens of thousands in tax bills could likely be resolved quite easily. The issues are now on their way to a full resolution.

I owe an immense debt of gratitude to this firm for their help in saving me a large sum of money and even more importantly for taking a lot of stress off of my shoulders. I would gladly recommend them to anyone in a similar situation.
