McHale Park

Laughing that someone named this playground. This courts, jungle gym, basketball court, field. The whole family can entertain themselves here.

I grew up in a house bordering this park, and we spent entire summer days, into the night, playing and communing "at the park."

For over 25 years it's hosted a 35+ basketball game every Sunday morning. Even though I'm now old enough to play, I haven't yet.

Who was McHale? My guess is Jack McHale - local resident, basketball lover, community contributor, and family man.

Great park for kids. Not much shade in the summer. Basketball court and 2 tennis courts for Burke community members

Don't live in the neighborhood; happened by while geocaching. Nice little neighborhood park with a neat, clean book box (LFL), basketball court, and a great playground. Street parking in view of those. Side path between houses (alternate parking on a side street) is rather overgrown. Some prickly things/poison ivy aside the path behind the courts, so watch your legs.

I’ve lived here for years-just down the street and never knew it was called McHale Park.

The basketball Courts here are named Jack’s courts.

My grandparents live around the corner and I have been going to this park since I was a little kid and USED TO ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT but I went back recently and noticed that they completely remodeled the playground which is VERY DISAPPOINTING as it was a very big downgrade, although the renovated basketball courts are fantastic..its really disappointing and sad to see this park have a remodeled downgrade. This place meant a lot to me and now it means nothing. THANKS A LOT!!!!
