I loved this hotel. My room was immaculate! My bed was so comfortable I wish that I could afford one like it! I loved the salmon dinners. I had salmon twice during my stay. The evening reception was a treat as well as breakfast! There was nothing to complain about!

Okay so let’s get into these reviews. The good, bad and the ugly.

Staff (5 stars) Property (5 stars)

The good; the staff is great. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Indoor pool location from 6am-10 pm. Food in the restaurant was fresh tasty; Amanda at the bar was amazing. Stay came with free drink, and light snack from 530-7 pm. Free breakfast 6 am. Full disclosure this is my first embassy stay; I normally use another one of the properties called Tapestry. Tapestry is a strong 4 stars. Love the balcony feature in the room. (Small walk out balcony) Received an email immediately after getting in the room to make sure there weren’t any issues with the room. Rain forest coffee in the room (5 stars) Temperature controlled within the room. Plenty of light natural and lamps. Location right off the highway. Plenty to do in this area if you passing through. Put short pump in your maps. You can jump on 64 and be in short pump in no time.

Bad (kinda I guess) (but not really)

Parking was a fee of $10 but I wasn’t surprised the website displayed that before booking. Staff also made we aware at check in. A pass was given to me to place in the window of the car. The parking lot is so huge I don’t understand the paid parking. This parking process probably keeps people from just using the lot. This is a huge property and the parking during peak times could become a struggle if no guest use the lot

Requested an early check in. Wasn’t able to get it but checked into what seemed to be an empty property. Check in is 4 pm.

The ugly

Just the previous reviews. Seems most were upset about the parking fee. In all fairness this was fully disclosed. Why I’m not a fan it was disclosed before booking.

Property condition reviews. While the property finishing like paint and trim weren’t perfect; you’d have to be looking for imperfections. And if you are that picky about paint and trim work; stay at the Jefferson at $500 a night. The paint there is spectacular. I’m almost sure they paint the rooms once a day (sarcasm)

Toilet handle did need a little jiggle for it to stop running. I did receive the email at check in but found this issue hours later when the toilet wouldn’t flush. A little jiggle and 2 minutes last I could flush. Wasn’t a big deal to me.

OVERALL- IN CLOSING:

Over all I’ll give this property 4.5 stars.

Would I use this location again? Yes. And I plan on coming to E’terie ( hotel restaurant) even when I’m not staying here. My only concern is the parking. I’ll update the review on this process.

We were greeted at the front desk by the friendly Anthony and boy did he save the day! We arrived late and unfortunately through a booking error, we received the wrong room type. Anthony went ABOVE AND BEYOND to ensure my family was comfortable and received the correct accommodations (which was especially appreciated given the late hour!). Anthony is incredibly knowledgeable about the surrounding Richmond area and made our late-night check-in a breeze! Thank you Anthony - and Hilton - for the superb customer service! We will be back. :)

The rooms here are larger than other hotels' rooms, and at the same price. Breakfast is included, and it's a great breakfast buffet, including a made to order omelet station with a chef. Restaurant on premises with excellent food and great service.

This is a great place to stay. The breakfast is definitely worth enjoying. The indoor pool was fun and the fitness center was more than adequate. The room was clean and large. The elevators were kind of slow.

I had the great fortune of staying at the Embassy Suite by Hilton Richmond from Thursday, October 19th - Sunday, October 22nd. This was during Virginia Union University's Homecoming Weekend. It was especially special and memorable because of the welcoming and warm setting provided by the hotel staff. Jazz music was a special treat this year that allowed friends and alums the opportunity to sit, connect and enjoy the atmosphere and the fellowship. The smooth jazz was an added bonus which accented our stay. We look forward to returning next year. The smooth jazz was a fantastic feature!

This is a vintage hotel building from the glamorous 1970s renovated for contemporary tastes. It’s a very strongly constructed building and the walls are not paper thin like many new hotels. The new design is post-modern modern with wood panels, gray tones, and wood slat ceiling lamps. It’s nice. Very different I’m sure from the gold and sparkle of the 70s design.

It’s one of our favorite hotels to stay at. Our son loves the glass elevators and running the open hallways around the atrium. The staff was very helpful assisting us with a medical papers issue. We stay here because they have affordable suites when we travel with our son. It has its flaws, but if you can stand slow, cranky elevators and a few rough edges, it’s a fine hotel.

I have stayed here frequently on a regular basis and I have never seen anything like what other people claim to have experienced here. Is it old? Yes. Did we have HVAC issues once? Yes, a maintenance person fixed them immediately. Some parts are time worn and the renovation cannot be expected to fix everything as if it were new. I have never seen dirty sheets or significant stains in furniture. The hotel has some wear on it. The breakfast is typical but varies a lot in quality. One time the scrambled eggs were cold and we left them. We get breakfast elsewhere since.

My family arrived late at night after driving in from Washington D.C. after walking 12 miles around the city. Staff was so very welcoming! They even complimented my service dog and helped me figure out where to go when I was looking for the elevator and the exit. We had a 2 bedroom suite and the beds were very comfortable. There was some water damage to the bathroom door from a dripping shower head, but other than that the room was perfect for our needs— very spacious and a comfortable place to enjoy peace and quiet as well as a good nights sleep.

We chose this hotel to stay at as a group for a soccer tournament. The staff made our time there the absolute best. The front desk, breakfast staff, restaurant/bartending staff, and the front desk were all phenomenal. When we were leaving this morning we realized that my daughter left her pillow in our room. They immediately went through all of the laundry to find her pillow case. She was so upset. Thank you for hosting us!!

We stayed here on Saturday night. Perfect place to stay. It was clean and everyone was nice. The only problem was, we saw hair in the bathroom floor. I'm a custodian worker so I usually can pick up on half way cleaning. I'm not here to put anyone down, I just want to give house cleaner's a little trick I've learned. Look back at your work and you will see what you left. But over all the hotel is decent we loved it and we will stay again. Thanks

Had a great stay here while in Richmond. All rooms are suites. Lots of restaurants close by, close to The Tin Pan, a great music venue, which is why we were there. Plan to stay there again. Have a nice cooked to order omelet station breakfast in the mornings.

We had a fantastic stay here! The 3 room suite was perfect for our family. The breakfast and evening snacks were both delicious. Though it seemed there were a lot of people staying at the same time as us, it was very quiet. The indoor pool is also very nice. Beds were comfy!

Service is great, place is clean, just the bathrooms are a bit worn. Location is great, within short drive of Short pump and Richmond.

The evening reception was awesome, and best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel! My 4 year old loved the buffet style set up where she could choose what she wanted- and she ate a lot more than usual which is a plus. We had a lot of fun in the pool, even moreso in the morning when there weren't rude teenagers showing too much skin. Definitely better to take your kid swimming in the morning before check out, we had the pool all to ourselves. Just wish the sauna had been open! The room needed a little remodeling, the wallpaper was peeling off in spots but otherwise everything was clean and super comfortable!

This hotel brand has always been my best. Their building structure and design 100%. Their breakfast service 100%, room service 100%. You out with your family and need spacious hotel where you dont want your kids bordering you when you with your partner, this the hotel you need. Try them out.
