Date night tonight! We were welcomed as we walked in and got to choose our seat. Service was great and the restaurant was really clean and stylish. We ordered the Trio appetizer, Catfish dinner, Grilled shrimp and pecan pie. We really enjoyed our dinner and will definitely return.
Update. 4/2023 Tried the ribs today and they really do fall off the bone and are delicious!!

My husband and I found this restaurant on a day trip from Richmond. For lunch, my BLT was absolutely perfect (BACON!), and my husband really enjoyed his cheese steak. It was so welcoming and so good that we stopped again for dinner on our way back home. They had great live music playing, people dancing, excellent service, and again, superior food. My husband's half-rack of ribs was HUGE and so tender! We'll be back the next time we're heading in that direction, for sure.

All the reviews of this place are right. Stopped here on the way home because of them. Chef BB is really friendly and inviting. Waitress staff as well. Pictures of the place show how he has made ita pleasant place to eat, chairs were comfortable. My husband had the catfish. It was truly delightful, not a heavy fried fish. Coleslaw excellent and I'm picky about that. Fries perfectly cooked with a little crunch which I also like. Barbecue quite flavorful. My only thing I might say was not that great were the 'California vegetables '. No taste. I think they were frozen. Chef BB, cook up some good collards or green beans!

Very sweet and lovely people! Owner is very kind and chats with the customers and create memories to come back. It was my fiances 2nd time and my first and me being very picky and having a tonsillectomy 2 weeks ago, I will say they are very accommodating and great at giving recommendations! Will 100% return!

Just had lunch at Magnolia’s and it was pretty good. There are limited options in Keysville, VA so we figured why not and glad we did. I had a burger and tots. My husband had bbq pork sandwich with the sweet potato waffle fries. They were delicious and he was happy with the sandwich as well. There is a little area in front of the fireplace to sit and chill. There weren’t a lot of people in there but could have been time of day. The owner came over, he is super nice. All in all I would definitely recommend and go back. Also he gave us a slice of pecan pie 🥧 on the house. 🤤

Really good food the chicken tenders and their burgers are good. Awesome staff very friend and very spacious will go again next year for sure. Also Mary was awesome and very polite.

Definitely worth the stop! The service was attentive and friendly. Owner stopped by to thank us for coming in. The food was even better than the service. I got the steak and cheese sub and the meat was seasoned perfect with just enough juiciness so as not to make the bun soggy and to keep it from needing extra condiments. Husband got the beef and bird and raves about that. Must try! Forgot to take a picture before hand. 😞

We were road tripping and looking for a quick bite, but not fast food. I Googled places on our path and Magnolia showed up. Upon parking, we lowered our expectations - it's underwhelming from the outside. But inside that all changed. The chef greeted us. Yes, the chef. Our waitress was attentive and polite, without being saccharin. And the food was delicious. It was my third shrimp wrap in three days and it was the best of the bunch. My significant other had the catfish dinner. He's southern born so he knows catfish. It more than passed muster. We don't eat meat, but tables around us were making love to ribs. We were there during lunch, but it's worth noting that it seemed like a really nice spot for drinks and dinner. They have live music and a cool bar scene - lucky for the locals.

Wonderful spot to grab some good in house made food. The chef came out and greeted us, the server, Mary was so knowledgeable and friendly. I had the ribs and to say they are amazing is an understatement. Fall off the bone and delicious. My wife had the ribs eye and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned lightly to showcase the flavor of the beef. If you happen to be driving through Keysville make this a must for lunch or dinner.
