This was my first time with Payless car rental, but the service was fast and courteous.
My initiation driving an electric car. I enjoyed the experience.
Perhaps I would have liked someone to demonstrate the differences or ensure my comfortability driving an electric vehicle. It was simple to navigate.

Our experience was with Payless was excellent. The price quoted for the car was less expensive than other companies we checked. The clerk, Bernie, was very helpful, friendly, and made the transaction outstanding as opposed to just ordinary. It was our first time with this company but if and when we have an occasion to rent again, I would go through Payless again.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience with a nice lady named Maggie...She went above and beyond to get me into a car when I came in without a reservation first thing in the morning. Would absolutely do business with them again.... Maggie is a huge company asset!! Thank you, Maggie

The employees at the Payless desk at Savannah Airport were courteous, friendly, and efficient.They really went the extra mile in getting us the car we needed, making a special effort to get us the best rate available.

The staff was helpful. I had paid before I arrived at airport (on-line.) They gave me a car that came from AVIS, and I did not have to wait an extra hour,like that those who had not paid ahead had to wait. In the future I will always use this option.
This was my third time using Payless in Savannah. The cars are always clean and they don't try to "up sell" me a car. Nice change from all the other companies I've used in the past. I will use them again.

There was no agent at the counter when we arrived. It said to go tot he Avis counter where we waited for 45 minutes. When it was finally our turn, they said they didn't have any move vehicles because we were late. We arrived on time but waited 45 minutes in their line so yes, we were late. Finally someone there said they could take us down to the Payless counter to get a car. It turned out fine but not a great experience.

Had a last minute issue and needed a car asap to go out of town in a few hours. They worked with me and got me in a car at a good rate to take out of state with unlimited miles. Only downfall is locals cannot use a debit card and nobody walked the car with me to check the condition of car before I left the lot with it. I will rent from them again had a good experience!

My flight was delayed and I was marked as a no show and my reservation given away. I was devastated, its eclipse weekend, everyone is sold out.

When I called in the next day Kevin H was very helpful and went out of his way to help make up for the new massive price difference. I would have preferred the original price, but Kevin was able to keep me from bursting into tears in the Savannah Airport and being immobile on vacation. I'm being generous with the stars for the employee, the policy is horrendous and needs serious attention.

I am not happy about paying 3x what I reserved because my flight was delayed. I am not happy with arriving at the airport to find the kiosk closed and no information available.

Decent size dent/ ding with paint loss on passenger front door. Let staff know and they could care less. Just document it as it is an older vehicle I was told. Dirty car, dirty seats, empty water bottles on floor board. Needing tires very soon, not much tread left. Granted it was a 58,xxx mile Nissan Kick but this one needs to be retired soon.

The original price in rental was almost doubled with there hidden fees , is was way to expensive overall.

Arrived on a flight with a reservation. It still took one hour and 15 minutes to get a vehicle because no one was at the counter so I called customer service and they sent me to Budget who called someone else and a seemingly simple process took forever. Dropping off the vehicle also took about 20 minutes for no reason. The vehicle was the class I ordered, so they get credit for that because that doesn't always happen.

Payless was the worst experience i ever had with a car rental. A 15 hour trip turned into 32 hours trip. They decided to give me an electric car. I was going to a funeral and was my only choice according to the girl in the counter. I shouldn’t have taken it and gone to a different and reliable rental company.

There was a family emergency (a brother with dementia still living on his own) and I reserved a car for my arrival in Savannah but apparently in my rush to get the airline ticket I didn’t complete the process. When I got to the airport at 5:00 am there was no reservation for me. I called Travelocity where I had reserved the car and said I would keep the reservation but could not get the car until I arrived the next day at 10:30 pm. They said they only hold the rental for 24 hours so Travelocity said they would get it canceled and refunded, two hours later I was told I was not needed so I canceled my new flight and waited for Travelocity to get the refund for the car. If I had made the reservation last month and was now bailing on it I would understand no refund but it was less than 8 hours since I made the reservation. The airline canceled and refunded me but Travelocity says PayLess is holding firm and is keeping my $493.77 for a 6 day rental. I’m 75, retired, and living with my son. Money doesn’t grow on trees. Avis and Budget are the parent companies. I’ll be writing to them too.
