What is the description of art?

Art, a visual object or experience consciously created through an expression of skill or imagination.

This definition fails to adequately describe the effort and emotion that Brenda puts into her work. When my spouse and I went searching for a work to complement and complete our renovation, we casually entered Brenda's gallery and were immediately taken by a signature work she had on display: "Tree of Life", or as my spouse prefers: "She of Life". It conveyed all the elements on our list: tiles and colors and textures and style. So we commissioned a version for our kitchen. Brenda was very easy to talk to, and she encouraged us to be participants in the design. The result? Art! Thanks, Brenda.

BEAUTUFUL variety of ceramic..clay ..glass..painting and more. Commissioned pieces small or large scale. 30 plus years creating Brenda is amazing. Guest artists monthly and over 17 presented at a time. Restful and exciting space.

After purchasing some smaller ceramic tile works from Brenda, over the last 3 years, we decided to commission a much more complicated panel. We wanted something brighter and large enough to put in the entrance foyer of our home.

I wondered how this collaboration would work over 1200 miles away in Michigan, but is was surprisingly easy and effective. We did the initial planning and sketching in the Gulfport studio. Once we arrived back home in Michigan, Brenda would electronically send us a sketch that we could comment on and make sure we liked the colors, patterns, and stone options. It took 3-4 cycles, over a month, before we had a final design ready for production.

We were delighted with the process and the final product! It hung in the gallery for 3 months before we could travel down to FL and pick it up. We received many complements and several visitors offed to buy it 😀.

You can always by something “as is” but it was a wonderful experience to custom design and have something built specifically for our home. We would definitely consider doing a second custom ceramic panel.

We absolutely love the address tiles that Brenda so thoughtfully created for us! She allowed us to be a witness to all steps of the process and crafted a beautiful, one of a kind, and functional piece of art. Her kindness and attention to detail go unmatched! 10/10!!!

It's always a great to visit Brenda's gallery. Filled with unique and fascinating pieces in a variety of mediums, it is a feast for your eyes! If you choose to commission, the artists work with you to meet your vision so that you have a highly personal work when it is completed. I have included two clay pieces of Brenda's, and one fiber work by the late Marlene Glickman.

What a wonderful experience visiting Brenda’s gallery. Knowing that the artists are from around Gulfport is a plus for myself as you are supporting local artist. All the art pieces from paintings, pottery, glass works were amazing. Having the artist around to explain her works was very interesting and informative. I would highly recommend Brenda’s gallery.

We were visiting Gulfport over the winter and met Brenda in her store. We bought 1 piece that was hanging on her wall, but she also custom designing another piece for us. It took a number of weeks to complete but she kept in touch throughout the entire design phase, sent us pictures of her progress and offered ideas and suggestions along the way. Since we don't live in Florida, she shipped it to us. We couldn't have been happier with the outcome. She's truly a master at what she does. We already bought another piece from her and I'm sure we'll be back for more. Here's a picture of Bird of Paradise which is the 1 she made for us.

Great place. Brenda’s work is really wonderful, and she always features some other talented artists as well. There are different mediums displayed, so there’s appeal for a broad range of tastes. For a fairly small footprint, the gallery displays a very satisfying collection of art. Definitely worth a visit when in Gulfport!

Talk about a marvelous selection of collectible art! Brenda, the owner of the gallery, is as lovely as her collection: warm, personable, and a skilled artist in her own right with a tremendous eye for talent. Her passion is helping people find art they fall in love with. You'll be glad you stepped inside the door!

We met Patricia Kluwe at the Hyde Park Art Festival. We really loved her work! She told us she had more canvas paintings displayed at the Brenda McMahon Gallery in Gulfport FL. Patricia got us in contact with the gallery owner, Brenda, who was just wonderful to work with and we made plans to come in to see Patricia’s piece “St. Petersburg”. My husband and I fell in love with “St. Petersburg” and could not be happier with our purchase. The gallery is lovely with all sorts of original, unique and beautiful pieces of art. Brenda was extremely knowledgeable about the artist, Patricia Kluwe, and the actual piece we were looking at as well as all of the art she had on display. And she was super nice and laid back! We so enjoyed meeting her, we love our new art piece (thank you Patricia) and we will definitely be back to see what new things Brenda adds to her beautiful gallery.

Brenda has an amazing gallery that really is a mini Art Museum. The works are quality. There are many different mediums used by the various artists. Brenda's pieces are my favorite. The one below that has the blue river running through the middle of it is my favorite piece in the gallery. It is a great example of Brenda's work. There are many other great artists as well. Some of their work is below in these pictures as well. I would definitely go to this. It's in the heart of Gulfport. So there are many many fun things to do within a few blocks of the gallery.

I love the beautiful, unique art piece that Brenda McMahon from Brenda McMahon Gallery in Gulfport created for my home. The textures, creative design, and colors of the artwork make me feel calm, peaceful and it brings me much happiness being able to enjoy looking at it daily. My family and friends always gravitate to view Brenda’s amazing work, we all appreciate it’s beauty.

We were so pleased to stumble upon the Brenda McMahon Art Gallery in Gulfport, FL a few years ago! We always make a point to visit when we are in that area of Florida, and last June I fell in love with the artwork of Patricia Kluwe Derderian and purchased an AMAZING piece (Chicago ll) for our family entryway, which makes me happy every time I look at it!
While the gallery is not very large, the artists that show there make a huge impression. I can't wait to make it back and see what's new!

Exceptional ceramic Art not stuff you see in every Gallery. We bought a piece and it is so beautiful and will be buying more in th e near future. The artist Brenda was gentle and sweet . We met Karen as well and it was fun gathering and chatting with them. Definitely not to be missed!

The BRENDA McMAHON GALLERY in charming downtown Gulfport is a must see destination on Beach Boulevard. Brenda is currently at work on a custom ceramic house number which I am excited to see!

The process of co-creating with Brenda was fun, enjoyable and deeply satisfying. She listened to our hearts desires and then implemented them into an artistic expression that we are delighted with. Hands down THE BEST collection of local/area professional artists. The gallery offers original artworks that are not only well priced, but also an amazingly diverse selection of media and styles. Several artists even offer custom work. A great place to visit and purchase gifts for others or a treat for yourself. Workshops are also offered in fused glass, ceramics and painting. I highly reccommend this great Gulfport gallery gem.

For Valentines Day my husband "gifted" me an original McMahon ceramic piece for outside our house. (I requested it) Working with Brenda was so fun and creative. She asked a lot of questions about nature elements that are important to us. From our conversation she crafted an exquisite mural that can be seen by passersby and can be enjoyed when walking the labyrinth in our yard.

An evening out for a burger with my girlfriend turned into an extremely special night while walking into the store and meeting Brenda. Her warmth and charm helped me top off the night with a special gift and we could not have been happier! Do yourself a favor, go see and support another amazing store in Gulfport! You will walk out with smiles every time! Kudos ladies!!

It is a very welcoming space with a variety of artwork that anyone will find something they love and want to take home. The artwork, the service, the live music on Friday Art Walk all go together to make a very special experience. Treat yourself. I did.
