Honestly the best meal I had in this region of Florida… crab cakes - rival ones from actual Maryland… corn and crab chowder - ridiculously good… prime rib, mahi mahi, lobster ravioli - all phenomenal! Highly highly recommended.

Wow! TOTAL 💎 The food here is OUT OF THIS WORLD for the price. The reviews make this place sound good but they don't do it justice. The crab cake and crab stuffed salmon are awesome. The beef here is fantastic too!! Strong recommend.

Delicious! Crab Cakes and Seafood Paradise - fabulous! Also have the lobster ravioli and bruschetta appetizers. Best bruschetta we had in a long time. Very flavorful!

Ate on the patio. Nice cool evening and the heat lamp was a nice plus. Food was very tasty. Split the crab corn chowder which was the reason I wanted to come. Haven't been there in many years "no fault of theirs". The chowder was just as good as I recalled. Had the stuffed salmon and mushroom ravioli and that was very very good. Would order this again. Stayed for dessert and had the key lime pie. Best pie for a tart make ya pucker key lime treat. Thanks for the great friendly service as well. We will be back much sooner than later.

Food was delicious! It seems they are remodeling the inside, or just haven't opened up the inside for dining since covid.
But worth the trip to Gulfport, for a tasty meal!

Great good and great service. This plate was a trio special of bacon wrapped shrimp, crab cake and ravioli.

Don't let the construction, plastic chairs, and yelp menus fool you, this restaurant has amazing food and service despite the rough first impression. We were able to be seated immediately on a Saturday night without reservations. The service was great. Everything we ordered was really good, bruschetta, fish, crab, ravioli. The only thing I would skip is the artichoke side, it just seemed to be artichokes out of a can with no seasoning.

A cherished Gulfport eatery! They delivered the awesome food as always! Lovey to sit with a loved one or friends, relax back n enjoy the offerings! Fantastic service... even though their website SAYS that they are understaffed! You cant beat the fresh seafood, relaxing ambiance, and I must add... A great local beer selection! Highly recommend!

Their crab cakes are amazing. No flat, burnt, cornmeal filled pancakes here. The price is a little high, but completely worth it. Crab chowder is also incredibly delicious. Cant say enough good things about this place.

Hands down 5 stars all around!! Wonderful staff, Best crab cakes, mouth watering Prime Rib, and the CORN AND CRAB CHOWDER is always top of the list! Weather you are visiting or a local wanting to get your fill, this is for sure your dining destination in Gulfport!!

Best crab cakes this side of the Chesapeake bay! I lived in Annapolis so I know a good crab cake. Jumbo lump backfin! The staff is great and the prime rib is excellent too. I would eat here every day if I could!

Update Jan 2022. Come on guys, open up the dining room and let’s get back to normal. I don’t understand why you guys aren’t open every day. Every other restaurant we go to is open. Please join the crowd. We are here are ready to support you. Now it’s up to you.

Fantastic in every way. Had family in from out of town and chose Backfin Blue on a whim. Shame our server was amazing, everyone's food was incredibly good. I've never seen that much crab in a crab cake in my life. From beers to appetizers to fresh fish and dessert, we could not have had a better meal. We'll definitely be back!

YUM. Cute atmosphere, friendly staff, family owned, DELICIOUS food. What more could you ask for? Theres lots of patio seating (with heaters on the cooler nights :)) Corn crab chowder is a must-try!

Showed up late on a Sunday night with a group of 8 not too long before closing so the owner/chef had already sent the waitress home since it had been very slow due to the stormy weather.

The owner/chef stepped right in as our waiter also. Taking our order, then heading back to cook and then to serve.

The food was excellent. At other restaurants if you order crab cakes they sometimes load it up with bread crumbs or other fillers but not here. The jumbo lump crab cakes actually had huge lump crab in them, they were delicious also. That was one of the appetizers we ordered. We had other appetizers which were all excellent as well, especially the smoked fish spread.

The entrees ordered were the wild mushroom ravioli, salmon LGBT sandwich, fiesta chicken sandwich, crabbed stuffed salmon and I had chicken tiki masala. I know my chicken tiki masala was perfect and every other person with me was very happy with their meal.

The prices are very reasonable, there is a nice selection of domestic beers as well as craft beers and wine, and it is a very nice location. Of course right now as with many places there is no inside dining but they do have take out and a large covered dining area outside if you want to dine in.

I can not think of anything that was wrong with our meal. I highly recommend Blackfin Blue Cafe.

Excellent food with a funky California-type vibe. The whole street is made up of cool old houses converted into restaurants. Prime rib on Monday's $11.95 and insanely good. Great waitstaff. The key lime pie was the best we ever tasted!

I have been there 5x on prime rib night. Sometimes you may have to wait because it is a quaint little spot, but the wait is worth it. Every time was a great experience. The artichoke and tomato side is fantastic. Denne is a superb waitress.

Great service, good location and just an adorable little place. Jumbo crab cake is amazing and the salmon LGBT was cooked to perfection. Don't forget to try the artichoke and tomato on the side! Delicious!

The food was great! They are known for their lump crab cakes and I can see why. The fish special was also amazing. All parking in the area is a bit challenging, but very worth it.
