Rick's Reef

Amazing restaurant. Great food. We came here for one of our honeymoon dinners. So so so great. I’ve never had grouper… they made it fried and so darn delicious. The waitresses there were amazing and so nice. Very friendly and clean. We ordered wings, smoked pulled pork, crab cakes and the fried grouper fish. :)

We had breakfast here and the omelettes were fantastic so we had to return to try more foods for lunch. We were not disappointed. The seafood options were great and the crab soup was amazing! We also had chicken and steak fajitas, so, so good! Our kid loved his burger and pasta. 5 starts for the fresh and delicious food and excellent service!

Excellent food and really good prices! Bot to mention a lot of food for the cost for sure. Staff and other customers are super friendly and went for the first time for breakfast today and were really impressed with the quality. Will be one of my usual weekend breakfast spots for sure!

Rick's was absolutely PHENOMENAL! We went fishing and caught some mackerel. They offered "hook and cook" where they'll cook your fish to order AND give you 2 sides per person for $10 a head. We ordered half blackened and half fried. They fish was PERFECT and every side we ordered was so delicious! What a pleasant surprise this place was!

We eat at Rick's multiple times during our vacation to St. Pete Beach. Their servers are very friendly and accommodating, the spicy bloody Marys are great, and the food is always tasty and plentiful. Breakfast is a must!

Wandering where to eat or catch a drink in St Pete beach? Ricks Reef cant be beat! Server Stephanie greeted us with a formal introduction and smartly took care of our order. The crab cake blt and the smoked tuna melt received high marks !

Popped in as we had a ticket for the "Taste of the Beaches". Tried the lobster fries and mac of all cheeses and OMG! they nailed these dishes. We see why they r the most popular items. We could have ate that all night! We have been missing out on this gem. Our bartender was fantastic! She was great to chat with and was attentive. I fail at names but I know she's going to be a fire fighter 💪🫶 She has a great personality and was just awesome. We will be going back for this amazing food. U must stop by and see what the fuss is about 😊

My husband and I decided we wanted a splurge Friday dinner, so we thought we'd try Rick's Reef. Yum. It was worth every calorie. We started with the calamari. Thank goodness! It was the best we ever had. It was perfectly tender with a lightly seasoned crisp coating served with a nice marinara. He has the smoked fish spread sandwich and fries. He enjoyed both. I had a fantastic grouper ruben and onion rings. The fish was cooked perfectly and was obviously fresh. The service could not have been better. My only wish--better beer. We have great local breweries and Rick's Reef only carries a couple of local brews. Although, if they had better beer that place could become a habit.

My family and I went here on the advice of the concierge at our hotel. Our plan was to only order appetizers because we weren't super hungry. We had the option to sit inside or out, and we sat outside.
We ordered the lobster fries, bang shrimp, and fried calamari. Let me tell you... When the food came out, we were so surprised how big the apps were! Not only big, but they were very tasty too! I'm kind of bummed because for how good the apps were, I can only imagine how delicious the meals must be!
The outdoor eating area is also nice. It was later, so there was less road traffic noise, no doubt. The overhead fans provide good circulation even if it's a little warm outside (88F).
Our server, Sophia, was awesome! Very friendly, great with the drinks, and she took good care of us.
We'll definitely be back for a full dinner in the future!

The Experience:

Overall, brunch at Rick’s Reef was a very positive experience.

My girlfriend, her parents, and I came to Rick’s Reef to have Christmas brunch. The customer service was great, and the waitstaff was very engaging.

I ordered the breakfast nacho skillet—phenomenal with delicious home fries covered in melted cheese, weIl seasoned chorizo, egg over easy, and sliced avocado with quality ingredients all around. I ordered an extra side of avocado to combine into the hash which turned out very well.

I did also try the pancakes which was the lowlight. The pancakes seemed to lack flavor, and came across as more of a flat, multigrain type of flavor.

I would absolutely come back for breakfast/brunch in the future.

This place has the most incredible food in the area. Get the lobster fries and you will not be disappointed. Our server, Blake, was complete perfection. This place has such a chill and laid back atmosphere which is so prefect after a day on the beach. I would one hundred percent recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food and a comforting atmosphere. Ask for Blake. He was amazing!

We found this place driving around on a Saturday night. They are one of the few bars that serves food after 11pm. We flew in and our hotel stopped serving food. Our server was nice and informative 👍. The food was better than expected. They do get busy at midnight so be ready. The place was clean and had good 📺 s. The parking was more than adequate. Overall, we are happy they are open daily. 😀

Nice restaurant with fun outdoor seating. Nice full day menu selections. Our breakfast waiter twice was Brian. He was one of the reasons we returned for a second day. Pleasant, friendly, helpful with menu selections. Made the morning start off well. Thank you Brian.
The food was good. Ate too much of course.
My husband had the smoked salmon dinner. I had the meatloaf. Both were good. The grits with the salmon were excellent.
Breakfast day one, I had the Reef breakfast(eggs/bacon). My husband had the Royal Benedict. Second visit, I chose the shrimp and grits and he the avocado toast. All good!
Wish we had tried the pulled pork cinnamon combo. Next time!

I'm giving Rick's Reef a full 5 stars because of the value you get for taste, drinks and service. Eaten breakfast, lunches and dinners here and have never had a disappointing meal or disappointing service. Great location and just a really good place to enjoy all the way around!

We went a few years ago and had so much fun!
They had $2 bloody Marys! You can't beat that price! I would definitely go back in a heartbeat. The ambience and other patrons were a lot of fun!

Made the best Jack n’ Coke I have had in quite a while. Great atmosphere, cozy and relaxed! Super friendly staff and servers.

We had mussels and grouper dinner it was cooked perfectly. I’d recommend it pricing is fair. Fries were great lots of them
And the side salad large and grilled veggies were awesome and tasty

Great little bar near the beach. Great beachy vibe even though it's not on the water. Simple good bar fare. Potato skins were $5 on happy hour and as expected. The $5 margarita was a bit filling (served in a pint glass) but good. Fish and chips were yummy, swear there was hush puppy mix in the batter! Fries were fine, better with malt. The tartar sauce was jazzed up and good. Only bottles and cans for beer, if that matters. We will be back again and again.

Our carryout order was accurate. The food was phenomenal. The homemade tarter sauce was delicious. We had the Grouper nuggets, fish tacos, crab cake but and fish and chips.

One of our favorite places to have breakfast!! Great Bloody Mary's !!
