Great way to take a break from the beach for two hours. We saw alligators! I know I know. Obviously we are out-of-towners to get excited about this. But it was (existing)!

A wonderful park, top teir trails through the wetlands and along the lake and creek. Filled with animals of all varieties including some permanently injured birds of prey they care for. Great place to see Florida's nature at its best.

Amazing place to visit. 10/10 would recommend the tram tour. Our tour guide Bryan was super knowledgeable and provided us with a great tour. We got to see gators, tortoises, various birds, and tons of plants. Loved it!

I have been going to Boyd Hill since 1975. It is one place in St. Petersburg that you can see what nature is supposed to look like. There are snakes,Rabbits Tortoises, Hawks- Raccoons and Opossums and Alligators all in the wild. They also have Raptors (Birds of prey)that have been injured. This is the way this place used to look like before we destroyed most of our wildlife.
A great place to spend a afternoon with the family.
I Love It...

Great little natural park with walking trails and a playground conveniently in St Pete. You'll almost always see Gopher Tortoises and sometimes quite a few gators. This last time we visited it was three adults, a five year old and a three year old... Three hours of entertainment, a pile of baby gators, playground, two Gopher Tortoises for a total of $10.50. Great family fun.

A great nature preserve surrounded by the city. It has activities for the kids, a few aviaries and a very interesting tram ride. Don’t miss the tram ride. It’s a hour or so and the guides really know their stuff. We have been twice having different guides each time and having totally different experiences.

Beautiful nature experience with well maintained trails through dense, lush shaded forest and across a fresh water marsh. We saw many birds including cranes, alligators with young, various insects and much more. They have an interpretive center and rescued birds on display in enclosures. There are regularly scheduled presentations about the birds. This is a lovely place to spend the day, especially if you have had enough beach time and need some time in the shade.

Looking for a safe, outdoor, kid friendly adventure?
This nature preserve is great for a little hike, a picnic, birders, and photographers.

The main building has cool spiders, reptiles and other critters you can see up close.
Then head outside for a dozen rescued birds of prey only a few feet away on beautiful display.

Ready to hike, there are miles of trails that all wrap back near the lakes where you can catch a glimpse of alligators of water fowl or even a Roseate spoonbill!

Staff and rangers were all friendly and glad to answer Questions.

I have loved coming to this park for almost 30 years. I love it when they have the photo contests! The park is well kept and clean. There are water stations throughout the park in case you forgot your water bottle. The wildlife is stunning and there is always something to see! Some of the trails are out in the open so I recommend a hat or suncreen, or stick to the shady trails. Always a lovely walk and you should definitely bring your camera!
