Nice easy trail all the way around the lake, little less than a mile. Beautiful fall views from all sides. My son loved fishing the lake.

August 31,2023 During Super Moon. We missed the Eclipse but the Blue Moon was Gorgeous. Drove with family from Mountain City. Night drive was beautiful. The ducks came to visit. Saw a line coyote. The kids thought it may have been a wolf. Could have been a dog but dogs usually bark. Said it was just smiling and panting and chased it but couldn't catch it lol. Didn't see any other animals. The view here is beautiful. Woul love to see a sunrise across the lake.

I always love to visit this quiet and lovely park when I'm in the area. It's especially beautiful in the fall. Such a peaceful and pretty little lake and trail, one of my absolute favorites.

Beautiful lake and trail. The trail is short so it is no problem to walk if you have a lazy person with you. We saw a lot of beautiful animals such as fish, turtles and even a little water snake.

Easy trail, very well maintained. Less than a mile loop around the lake. I walked in the stream...

This was a nice find. The gravel road down to the lake seemed a little sketchy at first, might have been the road grader sitting at the entrance.

The lake is the perfect size for a quick walk around. I found Mountain Lion tracks in the mud.

I spent a little over an hour here. No one else around. It was great!!!

What a beautiful State Park! Take time to visit this North Georgia retreat. Wind upward thru the park and you'll find 3 trails from 2.2 MI to 7.5 mile and the beautiful trail circling the lake. We were told that the lake is stocked with trout, stripers and we did in fact see at least a 7lb trout when walking over the trail bridge. There is also RV campsites better suited for smaller campers but if you have a larger you can try a we did see a few spots and a Class A there but personally I would not try. We will return when we have more time to visit.

Great little loop around the lake. There are placards describing local Flora and fauna, and a beach area where our dogs hopped in. The water is crystal clear and very fresh!

Nice little trail (0.85 mile loop) with great scenery. There's a parking fee of $5 but there's an option to scan a QR code and pay online. You also have to drive down a 0.8 mile gravel road to get to it. We were in a big van but any car or vehicle should be able to handle it just fine.

We did a little picnic at this spot. You could get your picnic mat or chairs and soak in the view by the lake. You can complete the trail around the lake as well.

Very peaceful. Fishing, with a license, is allowed. It is a very small lake with piers to fish from. I believe it is stocked with trout, and it has other fish. I believe not motorized boats are allowed. Very pretty.

Beautiful lake, some good fishing, and not too many people. Just watch out for the attack ducks.

Most pleasant mostly level walk around the lake. There are a number of benches strategically placed if needed for rest.

Very nice walk. You can avoid most of the gravel road by approaching from the west (e.g. via York).

Nice walk around the lake. The trail is kept very nice and has some cool features. Includes a fishing pier. Be wary if you go soon after a good rain, a small part can get a little muddy.
