I rarely leave reviews, but I was referred by a friend to this store after complimenting her furniture. She stated she only uses the Great Cover Up because of the care and quality they put into her furniture projects. I was beyond impressed with the customer service from the entire staff. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted kindly and never pressured towards any particular style or price. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful on all fronts. I was shocked at how reasonable their prices were for such an impressive quality of fabric choices. I had draperies done for my living room and they are absolutely beautiful. The owner, Jane, was delightful and took care of every question I had including overseeing the installation was scheduled as soon as possible for me because I had family coming to stay. The installer was punctual and professional and I cannot say enough good things about this staff and store. Simply walk in and you will see for yourself why buying from a small business is worth it from customer service to quality. Love the Great Cover Up, you have a customer for life!

The Great Cover-Up is exactly what its name says…”GREAT”. They were awesome and so easy to work with. We bought a new house and wanted to replace the large special size panels in our living room which is the main entry of the house as well as 3 cornices or valences on boards that were in the kitchen and family room. We visited the store with pillows and pictures in hand to see if we could find something that we loved and that would match our furniture and room décor. We were fortunate enough to have Rudy greet us. We told him what we were looking for and he offered to go around and look at all of the designer fabrics that they had on rolls. He pulled out any fabric that he thought would match. We had already picked out the fabric for the cornices at a previous visit, but could not find any fabric that we really loved for the panels. Well, Rudy pulled out a fabric with a beautiful pattern that I never would have thought to look at and it was the perfect fabric. We took samples home to be sure and called Rudy the next day. He came out to measure and finalize exactly what we wanted. Who knew there were so many different ways to pinch a pleat and so many styles of cornices? With Rudy’s help, we picked the perfect window treatment for the 3 rooms. The treatments were finished earlier than promised. Rudy and his installer, Jake came out to install. Both really great people who know what they are doing. So very nice. They did an awesome job and did not leave until we were 100% happy. The special sized panels are so beautiful and go so well with the living room. And the cornices (valences on boards) look awesome in the other two rooms. What a nice, professional, fun group! I highly recommend the Great Cover-Up!

We had the foam in our couch and love seat replaced by Great Cover Up and they did an amazing job. The foam is really firm which is what we were looking for. Now we have seating that is better than when we bought the set 11 years ago. I would highly recommend this place to anyone

I went with this company to buy shutters for my entire home. I spent around 10k with them. My shutters had problems from day one and they were never fixed. The company came back out and attempted to fix them but they never stayed shut ( popped open) . The owner blamed the installation guy and the installation guy blamed the owner and staff. I’ve had shutters at every home I’ve owner over 30 years and this was the worst and least professional company I’ve ever worked with. After a year of trying to get them to correct the issues I gave up.

This will sound petty to some of you but o well here goes. Back in 1993 I had heard good reviews about this place by word of mouth so I took some very special and beautiful furniture here to be reupholstered. I inherited a living room suite of very fine old furniture. I spent a lot of time talking to the owner and picking out the most expensive fabric to cover my furniture. I was so excited about getting this done so I could use it in my new home. When the men that completed the work brought me my furniture back they were missing some of the pieces. I asked them where they were and they said oh they forgot but would bring them soon. I was upset, so I didn't pay attention to the furniture they brought back. Once they left I started looking over my couch and chairs and was absolutely dumbfounded. The person that attempted to reupholster by furniture left deep depression marks every couple inches a long the entire top wood part of the couch. I guess they were clamp marks that had dug down in the furniture. They were deep and permanent. The couch was ruined. I was so upset. Then I started looking at my chairs and I noticed an arm had a crack. I looked really good and saw the arm had been broken totally off the chair. I was so stunned that this had been done to my furniture. I called the owner and she said oh I am sorry but you could tell it was not genuine. I pushed and said what are you going to do and how are you going to fix this? What happened to my chair. She spoke to the men and they admitted to dropping the chair and breaking the arm totally off. They tried to hide the fact, thinking I would not notice. She gave me two hundred dollars back. She said there was nothing else she could do. I got my 2 other small pieces back. They were ok. The couch and both chairs were damaged beyond repair. Because it was legit antique they were not supposed to touch the wood. At the time I inherited it, I drove 700 miles with that furniture without a scratch on it. I was so excited that my great aunt had honored me by willing it to me and I grew up taking naps on it and sitting with her on it. The damage to the set was so bad I never could use it. I can understand mistakes but 3 pieces ruined??? I am 24 years older and understand that there are many things way worse in life but at the time I was so so hurt about the furniture and the lack of responsibility or caring on the owners behalf. If someone that I contracted with, did my customer like that, not only would they never pay, I would have done something or purchased something for them to try and make up for the hurt and the pain that they had caused. I had to pay thousands for getting my furniture ruined. So sad. When I have time, I will post photos. I still keep the old suite for sentimental purposes. If I could rate it a Zero that's what it would be. Still sad in Gainesville!!!
