Everyone is very professional, caring and they make you feel good about going to the doctor. Dr. Tolbert is very knowledgeable and explains procedures in an easy to understand and concise manner. Thanks to all the doctors, nurses, technicians and friendly staff for their help and support.

My first meeting with Dr. Riso left me very pleased. For the first time I feel as though my issues will be resolved. She is attentive, and very positive. Those qualities are essential when working with patients.

Southern Pain and Spine provides the best quality care for spinal issues that I have found. Dr. Ankur Patel, DO, RPH, was at another practice and helped me to walk again. When he left and opened his own pain management business, I followed him to his Gainesville location. I drove almost 2 hours, depending on Atlanta traffic to get to this location but that’s how incredible Dr Patel is at his job. I’d fly anywhere he went if needed. 😉 Dr Patel and Cameron Tolbert, DNP, ACNPC-AG, and the whole staff at Southern Pain and Spine are exceptional at their job. They treat you like family, care about you as an individual and have helped me to manage my spinal injury. The care that I have received has allowed me to live a more active lifestyle while managing my pain. If you are struggling with pain and spinal issues and want the best supportive and quality care in the Atlanta Metro, you will be thankful for becoming their patient.

Dr. Patel is the best pain management doctor I have seen. He takes his time with you and listens to your concerns and works with you to figure out a plan that works best with you, regarding past surgeries, spinal injections and other options to help relieve your pain.

Hard to find Drs anymore bc so many vandalize the system and ruin the help for those who actually have injuries. Applying for them they took the time to review my records and accepted me as a patient and never treated me like a junkie which is a stereotype of anyone taking pain meds. But Cameron believes what she sees herself. And does not allow that to be a major issue. I have an actual vertebrae shatter and break apart. I need one carved from a cadaver to put in my body and then a metal frame to fuse to the bones. And a metal rod up my spine where my injury curved it. I've been in almost uncontrollable pain. And now having problems with kidneys bc of the amount of pain and blood pressure spiking. So I'm about to have surgery. I'm praying I feel better after Initial surgical pain. She is so easy to talk to, the staff actually answer the phone, and they dont over-schedule like most Drs out of greed.. so I like that I'm not just disregarded ignored and sent on my way. She listens and immediately tells me what the plan will be and how the medicine will change in an effort to find the right cocktail to help me keep kidneys healthy and bp down.

Me and Dr. Patel had come to a impasse so we both mutually agreed to let me find someone who could better serve my very piticular condition but there is one thing anyone who is concernedering Dr. Patel needs to know so let me please relay this experience with you to help make up your mind about Dr. Patel. As it was and we agreed to no longer continue my treatments with him he did something I have never seen any pain management physician do he told me he was going to write my medication for 2 weeks or until I found a physician folks I've been in PM this time 7 years and I've seen several Docs (some should never be called a Dr.) nonetheless I've been in many of their examing rooms and Dr. Patel is the first and I mean first I've ever encountered to care enough about a patient knowing that he's not getting anymore money from the insurance still cares enough about a patient to make sure they have enough medication to hold them over until they are in another physicians care and he is a unicorn almost mythical (anyone who has been through PM understands) a real doctor you see them rarely in GP but never in PM(pain management)standard protocol is to tell you you're on your own now kick rocks and there you go waiting for the DTs to start but not Dr. Patel who I wish we could have worked it out but no hard feelings and I have nothing but great things to say about you and your amazing staff.

Dr. Patel is doing everything humanly possible to get my pain under control and gather all my health issues and is a professional and very nice, caring and honest and does what he needs to find the root of the problem and all issues and gives me hope to getting a life back. Dr. Tate has been taking care of me for the past 3 years and I couldn't ask for a more caring, compassionate and knowledgeable doctor. I highly recommend Southern Pain and Spine to everyone who is suffering from long term pain. She doesn't write prescriptions she stays up-to-date on the latest procedures and uses them when she believes they will help. Today she did an SI joint injection on me and she is so good at them I get them without sedation, but it is available if you want it.

I have great visits with Dr. Patel there’s not a crowded office there’s not a long wait and Dr. Patel is a very nice Doctor Who seems like he cares about me. I’ve been going to see him for almost a year and will continue to go after that for as long as he is a doctor.

I have had pain for so long, I had almost given up on ever finding any relief, but Dr. Patel has done the MRI, and injections in lower back both sides, First time I have had relief in years! Dr. Patels staff and nurses are awesome, kind, and so friendly, they really care about the patient. So thankful, and blessed to have found this Gainesville office!

I have had many pain management doctors over the last 30 years and I can honestly say Dr. Patel is one of two I have been to who truly understands what a patient needs. He is extremely ethical and professional. His staff also display these traits.

Dr. Patel listens carefully to his patients and works hard to create a pain management plan for the individual that is both safe and productive. He keeps himself current on the patient’s case. His practice truly cares. He is very humble and just wants to do everything he can to make sure his patients have the best care and that they feel confident about placing their health in his hands.

I have a fully fused spine along with multiple serious health issues that he has to work through and this is by far one of the best overall health care practices I have ever had. Thank you all at Southern Pain and Spine.

Very friendly staff, very professional!! Dr.Patel is very understanding and I have never had a Dr call call me personally on a holiday and talk with me about my issues and also adjusted my medicine to give me relief. So glad I found somewhere to go that is really helping me.

Dr. Jordan Tate is amazing. I had back surgery at Emory on July 16,2021 and have battled nerve and arthritis pain for over a year. She met with my husband and I and gave us a plan. The first set of 4 injections were given to me last Wednesday. It went well. I’m not going to lie it did hurt, but I have such a terribly low pain tolerance. She kept talking to me and talking about my family. Then she would sing to what ever was on the radio. It was so soothing. It was so angelic!!!💞 I chose to go to her rather than going to a spinal pain Dr. At Emory. I have NO REGRETS! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about her. I did have to go to Gainesville and my second round of injections will also be there. My ablation will be in Jasper. She stays so booked in Jasper and with my pain she could see me quicker in Gainesville. I must say she is my little angel! She has truly been so wonderful! I’m very blessed! My surgeon at Emory was so amazing and now I feel the same about Dr. Tate! ❤❤❤🙏🏻

Today was my first visit with Dr. Patel. Everything about the experience was professional and first-class. The entire staff and Dr. Patel were friendly and helpful. Looking forward to next visits and hopefully the doctor can help with my pain. I'm optimistic for the first time in a long time.
