I have been on GHA waiting list (originally) since 2017...I reached out in 2020 when covid first hit, the building wasn't allowing anyone in...I was told by the staff to write a letter giving any updates with my information and also allowing staff to see what my position/number was on the waiting list and they would send me a letter (I never received any letter)...Again 2022 I reached out sent emails asking to speak to someone about my application and to let them know I'm facing becoming homelessness...I get a complete run around...I'm homeless with my kids now...I look on the website from time to time just to see GHA is taking more applications..? I'm confused why would you keep taking applications when there's people like myself who have been on the waiting list for years without any help and there still taking applications instead of taking care of the ones that's already in front of them...?! I'm really think there is a discrimination going on within GHA...I have a Hispanic co-work who told me she didn't wait that long for the apartment her family's in...From doing the application to putting the deposit down maybe a year long process...So I'm going to see if I can get my Hispanic friend to do one just to see how long it will take her process...

I have lived in ridgecrest apartments for 6 yrs and this last yr has been a nightmare. The crime ,noise,and bad mannered ,loud mouthed kids r no where near the worst part.I recently had guest over,during their visit my neighbor and her bf were having a very loud argument in my breezeway.When retrieving somethings from her vehicle she made a comment about the couple yelling.This resulted in a tea glass being thrown up side her head busting it open.Afterward words were exchanged between brother in law and her bf .This lead to the neighbors getting a gun ,firing a shot into my bro in laws car then firing more in back of my apartment. My guests should not have to cross through a battle zone just to come visit me..

They never answer the phone I’ve been calling here for a month never able to get in contact with nobody. NEVER! This is ridiculous and poor customer service and performance. Need a team that’s going to actually do their job

Can not get help for 2 years, Hall county boasts online how the strive to help, that's a lie, disabled handicapped people are going homeless and they say there's nothing they can do.

They are very helpful but the one girl that works in the front office is very mean and rude and very disrespectful she always has an attitude and tries to cut you off when speaking and has to have the last word
I pray God touches her heart and turn this around!!!

Put in my application for an apartment, they agent or management, never even responded back to. I had to sleep in my 2013, versa.
I have given up hope on the Gainesville housing authority. All I have seen are other people moving into places, and I struggle.

I have waited for public housing for since 2017. I recently updated my income 2021 and when I called two weeks to check if anything is coming up, she tells me I’m not in the system. This is pathetic and unprofessional.

Absolute waste of time. Closed on Friday. Less than 1 star
