Took my great neice and nephew here for an outing after the end of their school year. They loved it. My dad took us when we were kids, continuing a long family tradition. Did you know that the LSU Museum of Natural Science has for research the largest collection of neo-tropical songbirds in the WORLD. Football gets so much attention. What about science and academic accomplishments? Let's celebrate the true meaning of LSU!!

Wonderfully made exhibits with loads of great information. The museum was clean and well kept with lots of attention to details. The Mike The Tiger exhibit was also very cool and definitely worth the time to see it. It's not a very big museum, but for what it is, it's a great place to spend some time.

Informative and friendly staff! I have multiple degrees in biology and I always learn something new. The collections have specimens dating before the 1900s and beautiful dioramas of taxa local to Baton Rouge as well as mountains and deserts. Visit. Visit now. And visit again! Fuel your inner naturalist craving! Call ahead for information on private tours and outreach programs :)

If you've never been - then you don't know what you're missing. There is a LOT going on here, tons of exhibits and very knowledgeable staff.

If you see an event going on here - go to at least one - I've never been disappointed.

Valerie and Tammy are the ladies I normally interact with - and they are both wonderful and knowledgeable and very helpful!
